“Hotel was elegant and provided excellent and friendly service. Our opera seats were exceptionally good (4 rows from front). Pick-ups from/to airport efficient and punctual.”

“Our journeys to and from Verona went smoothly including prompt transfers in Verona. The Accademia hotel is somewhere we have stayed before and our room, the service and breakfast were all very good. Our opera tickets were at Reception as described and we were given a map of Verona and points of interest marked, on arrival, a nice touch. A bottle of chilled wine and snacks were in our room. The opera itself was stunnning and the arena makes it special. The Verona passes were invaluable and used in conjunction with a hop on hop off bus. Thank you to all your team including Shirley who responded to my emails.”

“Ideal location of hotel for sightseeing and restaurants. Good service at hotel and very clean. Reception staff approachable and helpful. Great seats for the Opera and the Verona card saved us lots of money when visiting sights. Excellent transfer drivers from airport to hotel. Would highly recommend a trip to Verona.”

“My holiday in Italy was perfect as usual. The team are extremely efficient, courteous and helpful. Hotel was as usual perfect, and the opera seats were well located. Pick and take back to the airport were very efficiently carried out. Please pass my thanks to all concerned”

“The whole experience was absolutely wonderful. The pickup at the airport and return journey to the airport was faultless in lovely cars, the hotel was first class and we appeared to have been upgraded to a suite. The seats at the opera were excellent and the opera was unforgettable. Thank you all very much and thank you for the complimentary bottle of prosecco to start our ruby wedding celebrations off in style.”

“It was a perfect, hassle, stress free experience. From checking in at Victoria Station for the Orient Express to being picked up by water taxi for our return flight home, everything went like clockwork - you definitely delivered a unique experience.”

“Our needs were simple: two flights; two back-to-back hotel bookings; and three transfers between the airport and the hotels. All were handled impeccably. The hotels had the bookings to hand on arrival. And the three drivers were splendid – charming, skilled at negotiating Italian motorways and back roads, and locally knowledgeable. Remarkably, given Italy's cultural traditions, all three turned up slightly ahead of their scheduled pick-up times”

“The support from the booking to taking the holiday was first class. Well worth using an experienced agent for. Everything worked well from arriving at Heathrow - to being met at Venice airport and transferred by water taxi to the Hotel Metropole where the staff were the best I have come across for many years - nothing was too much bother - they liked to tell you about the hotel, its services and the culture and experience of Venice. It was certainly a very memorable weekend and to share the Venetian celebration of the Festa del Redentore was unique and fantastic! recommend the hotel definitely! Having used Weekend a la carte a number of times I would highly recommend them - you can leave for your holiday knowing it will all go to plan. Thank you”

“From the pick-up from the airport in a shiny new Mercedes, our arrival at the delightful, peaceful and luxurious Hotel Accademia in Verona to our never-to-be forgotten experience at two operas at the Arena in Verona, this was a trip of sheer perfection. It could not have been better. We loved every minute. Thank you, Italian Short Breaks.”

“Excellent trip. All arrangements went well. Excellent hotel well placed for the centre of Verona and 5 mins walk from the Arena. Only problem was Ryanair flight - each sector on time but the outward leg leaving at 06.25 was just too early for us!! - meant leaving home at 3.30am. It would have been useful if the ticket agency supplying the tickets for the Opera could supply a programme - at 188 euros a seat it would seem reasonable. Your staff were excellent! Roger Cockle”

“Accademia Hotel was in a very convenient position and comfortable. Aida was a great spectacle but slightly disappointed that it was a somewhat modern production however overall we enjoyed it so much we went to Nubbuco on the next night. Verona was a lovely old town and we thought the food at Al Cristo was excellent where we ate on Monday night although it was supposed to be closed.”

“Positives: Flights booked and seats reserved. All the taxis we had were excellent, new, clean and on time. Great seats at the opera Negatives: 1. Wine tasting promised cheese & cold cuts to accompany, but these were not available. When we challenged this they said that it had not been requested. 2. Verona Pass was for 48 hours, but the middle day of our trip was out of Verona, so only 1 day of the pass was usable. We would have benefited from your advice to have our day away at the end of the trip 3. Nice hotel but would have been better more centrally in the old town of Verona,”

“Wonderful trip! The hotels were all wonderful, centrally located, good service, fine rooms. The tickets for the three operas were the best possible! So ALL of the main features of the trip were excellent. Two suggestions, however. We received the packet only a few days before we were to leave the states and had to download a lot of paper at a hectic time...A little earlier would have been helpful Second, the "pick ups" were all good except for Milan. We were told to meet the driver at the exit but with ho details (i.e. exit from train, station, etc.) As it is a huge station with three main exits and hundreds of travelers, we couldn't find the driver, nor he us...a very specific location to meet there is really necessary All told, it was a great trip and I would highly recommend it!”

We were waiting on all the vouchers to come through and this took longer than we envisaged. Based on your feedback we have now got maps from our supplier in regards to all the train station driver meet up points, so this will not happen again, and will benefit our still to travel clients. “from start to finish the trip was excellent. if i had one slight suggestion, it would be to better describe the plan for the Lake Garda trip. whilst we figured it out, it would have been better to know that the boat trip and tour followed an organised route. we were all left a bit confused by where to be etc. all transfers were on time, and very well arranged. first class trip”
