“Great service from start to finish. We arranged a 6 person visit to Milan to visit the opera at La Scala for an 80th birthday surprise. Hannah Netting looked after the reservation and we were all greatly impressed by all elements of the location and quality of the hotel, the knowledge of Donatella who led the guided tour of Duomo and Last Supper and the opera was also thoroughly enjoyable. It was made even more special by a bottle of champagne and canapes waiting in the room on check in for the birthday girl ! It was excellent value for money and we all had a fantastically memorable visit.”

“Our hotel was in a superb location and we really appreciated the complimentary bottle of Prosecco! Our included visit to the Duomo was a bit rushed, and we did not go to the terrace with the guide, so as not to miss getting to the Last Supper. We actually visited the roof on the following day. It might help to say that La Scala booking office is at the rear of the building - we went to the one in the square initially. Otherwise, fantastic evening.”

“We really couldn't fault our holiday, everything was exactly as promised. We stayed in the Hotel Firenze, and although the rooms were quite small they were well appointed and spotlessly clean. Thank you!”

“We had the most amazing time in Verona. We were picked up at Verona airport by a lovely lady who drove us to our hotel in a beautiful Mercedes. The staff at the hotel were there to meet us and take us to the hotel as cars are unable to drive up to the entrance. We were so lucky to be upgraded to the Wedding Suite which was situated on the top floor of the hotel. It was so beautiful and clean - the whole of Verona we found to be so clean, the people so friendly, the food amazing and the Opera was an incredible experience. We have been to a few operas in the UK but nothing can compare to that of the Verona Festival.”

“My daughter and I have just returned from a visit to the Opera Festival in Verona. We stayed at the Academia Hotel which is 5 minute's walk from the arena. We could not fault the hotel in any way. It was spotless. The staff, food and facilities were superb. Although the holiday was expensive, the arrangements and service of the holiday company were excellent. We had a slight query on the way to the airport which was dealt with and sorted out immediately by Kevin. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Company to anyone.”

“Very comfortable hotel in an ideal ovation for the Palio. Friendly hotel staff who gave us great restaurant recommendations. Excellent viewing position for the Palio, with great guided tours to complete our trip.”

“We were provided with fabulous seats for both operas we attended - thank you! We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Accademia in Verona which was within a short walk of everything and had a lovely atmosphere (and fabulous bar snacks!).”

“All outward arrangements worked perfectly, including assistance at Stanstead. The hotel was just as described and was superb. We arrived before the rooms were ready but were given a breakfast while we waited which was much appreciated as we had left home at 3.00 am. On the return journey we had no idea we had to find and press the SOS button on the outside of the terminal building at Verona Airport, but we managed to find a wheelchair. Neither the airport services nor Ryanair had been warned that assistance was required so our seats had to be changed. Once aware both airport services and Ryanair were extremely helpful, but it was a shame they had not been forewarned. Overall a magical break and I look forward to repeating it.”

“Everything was perfect! The travel arrangements - including transportation from/to Villafranca airport in Verona - were so well taken care of it took all stress out of travelling. The Hotel Accademia was great - fantastic and convenient location, nice room, nice amenities, excellent breakfast, and attentive staff. And Weekend a la Carte went above and beyond the 'call of duty' with the complimentary bottle of prosecco you had delivered to my room to mark my 'special occasion' - many thanks for that!”
