“This might be very niche but I think it might help someone as well. I suffer from depression and feeding myself can be tough sometimes. A friend recommended Jimmy Joy as a way to ensure I ate balanced meals when I could barely function. I am not joking when I say Jimmy Joy has helped me stay alive since I started using their products in 2019. If you, like me, struggle with depression and mealtimes are an ordeal, Jimmy Joy is a great way to remain healthy and have energy to fight another day.”

“I love their products! I recently moved from Europe to the US and was beyond happy to learn they have an US store as well! Being the best hiking snack it definitely saved us a lot of hunger! Impatiently waiting for all the Europe flavors to be available in the US!”

“No complaints about the taste. Two out of the three bags that I opened had this issue: the ziplock seal ripped off of the interior of the bag. Now when I close each bag, there is no seal. I had to go to the store to buy a container for each flavor. This left a bad taste in my mouth as if they cheap out on the bag, what else?”

“Pretty good. I have no stomach issues with it and I can tell it has less sucralose than Huel simply because it is much less sweet. It has just enough sweetness to be drinkable, though I do wish they used a little more sugar (e.g., dried dates) and no sucralose. Also it's a little chalky in texture.”

“Very good product, I used Hu*l before and got an upset stomach. I am now eating Jimmy Joy Plenny bars, tastes good and makes me feel healthy and full. Favorite taste at the moment is Cherry or Almond Fig.”

“The bars are good. Nothing to comment on that. Regarding the Shake. It does not mix well with water. Even after shaking the mix with water for more time than you have specified in the brochure, it still did not mix completeley. It feels grainy and the flavours are not very strong, tastes like a cold tea or like putting some veggies and other plants in water. The flavour is not that strong, can barely feel the chocolate flavour.”

I'm sorry to hear that the Plenny Shake isn't meeting your expectations. The texture can vary based on the amount of water used, so you might want to experiment with that. As for the taste, it's designed to be more neutral, allowing you to adjust it to your liking by adding fruits, spices, or other flavorings. If you're looking for a stronger chocolate flavor, you might want to try the Chocolate Plenny Bar or the Chocolate Plenny Drink. They have a more pronounced chocolate flavor which you might find more satisfying.

“I needed a quick and convenient back up lunch option for when I forget to bring a proper lunch to the office. I wasn't expecting much having tried other replacement shakes that were always too sweet and "artificial" tasting, or only really taste good when mixed with milk. I can safely say though I am really happy with Plenny, particularly the strawberry flavour. It tastes reassuringly oaty, rather than artificial, with just enough strawberry to it. ( I like to blend a banana in with it to take it up a level.).”

Great question! At Jimmy Joy, we choose our ingredients based on scientific consensus. Sucralose is approved for consumption by multiple food safety authorities worldwide, including the World Health Organization and the European Food Safety Authority. It's a calorie-free sweetener that doesn't affect blood sugar levels, making it suitable for a wider range of diets. We aim to keep our meals low in sugar to maintain their nutritional balance. While some studies have suggested possible mutagenic effects, these are usually seen in extremely high amounts, far beyond what is included in our products. But if you prefer a product without any sweetener, our Plenny Bar Almond & Fig is sweetened naturally with figs.
