“I ordered online and everything came via courier beautifully packed with only one tree showing a little damage. I was however a little disappointed with some of the plants, the container sizes are specified but not the expected plant size. A specific plant I ordered for the pond was almost not identifiable as a plant, it was so small and in such poor condition. I'd recommend that a sizing is added, not only for the container but as an average of what you can expect the plant or tree to be.”

Sorry to hear this. Unfortunately as it is the busiest gardening season delays are unavoidable and we try our best to get orders out as quickly as we can. Unfortunately hiring more staff would not be the solution as we need to take into account the speed at which stock is selling in store as well as online, the space in the courier vans each evening when the orders leave here, and the suitability and availability of our suppliers stock that comes in each week. We try our best to send the freshest, high quality stock as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and your comments.

“I was disappointed with courier I was away for five days and there was no call from courier when they dropped off plants which were in boxes. Email sent said if there was no one in then 3 attempts would be made to redeliver plants. Luckily a neighbour opened box for us and watered plants other than that they would have dried out. I would expect courier to phone when there is nobody in to rearrange ddlivery”

Hi Alison, sorry to hear about this. We would usually expect customers to let us know if they are away so we can hold off delivery until you return to avoid this. If the courier had held off delivery the plants would have been in a box in the van for days and they would have died so luckily your neighbour could take them in and water them.

“The rose trees I bought are of very high quality. One was potted in a lopsided manner and I am finding it hard to pot it straight. The rootball is crooked and I don't want to disturb it. Also, this rose had another rose packed in beside it causing the pot to crack in transit. The roses were well wrapped and there was no damage to the foliage, thankfully.”
