“I have been using this company since the early days when food delivery apps were barely a thing and these were the only game in town. You know, when it was the restaraunt who delivered the orders. I rarely had a problem but when I did just-eat offered a proper way to access support and would resolve the issue quickly. Unfortunately the years have turned them into a subpar company with no morals who's only mission is greed. They want to be deliveroo without any of the infrastructure required to deliver an acceptable service. They have ZERO means of resolving a problem should it arise with your order because they don't offer live chat support or a phone number. They tell you to expect a response to your problem within a few days. Good luck sorting your own dinner until then. In what world then can they justify taking a percentage cut/"service fee" on every order in addition to the delivery fee and fees they already charge the restaraunt, when they can't even be bothered to employ enough people to handle on-demand support for issues they're responsible for. In my case, against my better judgement I ordered a McDonald's (a large big mac meal with an orange juice, and a chocolate brownie). I paid £3 for delivery and a 10% service fee on the order total. The app says the driver is delivering your order but if you follow the live map which is easily the worst in the industry. If you try to follow along you will find the map zooms out at intervals probably to obfuscate the fact the driver is making additional out of the way stops they are never transparent about. When the order arrives the driver hands over a bag containing the orange juice and brownie but no main meal. I didn't assume bad intent because mistakes happen and can be rectified. So I reported the issue from the order page. The generic response is they're busy right now but to expect a reply within a few days. So I've paid for a meal I didn't receive, along with a service fee that is clearly doing absolutely nothing for me. But don't worry because they might respond in a few days. At this point I tried looking up ways to contact just-eat directly only to find its literally impossible to do so. In the end I made a chargeback with my bank who put the money back in my account within the hour. I would recommend anybody who does not receive their paid for goods or service do the same thing. Only when the bobbleheads who run this company see the line on the chart going up indicating people won't accept this will they consider doing better. I finished by deleting my multiple decade old account because I know better now. I have zero faith they will recognise what went wrong, and the lack of procedures or support in place suggest its systemic and would only happen again. Any growth they have as a business will be temporary and short lived. All the ads in the world will be for nothing when they will at the same time bleed customers in equal or greater numbers because of poor service.”

“Food did not even arrive the guy marked it as delivered have no way to contact just eat the guy didt even try to phone me this company is a joke and full of thieving drivers better off just going getting your own food it’s cheaper and you don’t have to deal with the thieves”

“A lot of restaurants don't really understand what Vegan food means. A lot of so called Vegan food mentions as having dairy. If it has dairy then it is not vegan. What is the point of labelling the food as vegan. I am never going to order from here again. There is no customer care number where we can speak to people. The live chat always has a queue and we are asked to call the restaurant. But a lot of restaurants have invalid phone number. These needs to be sorted before the company starts loosing customers.”

“Customer service of Just eat is complete disgrace. We ordered takeaway, one of the meal was chicken drumsticks which were rotten, smelly and that's why not possible to eat. We sent a prove to Just eat and request for the refund. The answer was.. You will not get the refund, instead you should write a bad review for a restaurant... Yes I will do that together with a bad review for this joke of a company”

“Do not use this company. I ordered KFC from them. The driver took two hours. He picked up my order. Went to another village first, proceeded to go to asda, then decided to pick up another order and spent at least 15 mins at a macdonalds, went to another place presumably to drop off the order. The food was cold and their customer service is shocking. I spent £55 and they wanted to offer my £19 to credit the account. An account i will never use again. Boycott Just eat”

“i was report to just eat DISSAGRE PLEASE DONT REFUND MONEY TO 2 ORDER 155008847 and 155008847 just eat replyed to my email and told me we not refund money dont worry . but still just eat refund money to costumer . how you return money with out my permission ? why not listening to restaurant partner ?”

“Ordered a shop from Asda through Just Eat. They managed to deliver my fruit juices, milk, bacon, bread and a ready meal. They did not deliver 4 bottles of Prosecco, 2 bottles of lemonade, a tub of butter and some expensive razor blades. The missing items totalled £75. Just Eat will not give me money back. This is theft and fraud and they can just get away with it. I hate to sound cynical but I’m wondering if Just Eat may have light fingered delivery drivers. Just Eat don’t want to know and don’t care that they have £75 of mine unjustly.”

“I placed an order which never arrived and I am being told there is nothing going to be done about it?! After numerous calls with the driver/courier giving him directions and even alternative addresses I was told he was going to leave my delivery on a street which was a mile away from my house! Not only have I had the worst experience ordering, I then get no help from customer service, needless to say I will never order through Just Eat again and will advising others not to either.”

“Ordered food. Did not receive a single thing. Showed as 'delivered' 3 hours late. Then shortly after changed to preparing your order to then show as delivered again another 3 hours later. Absolutely not getting a refund on goods I did not receive. As the APP won't allow me to complete the request. Phone number for customers has an automated message which repeats itself and disconnects. And no reply from there email. Complete disgusting business.”

“Delivery left outside my house without alerting me. Couldn't eat and could have been stolen. Raised a claim with Just Eat. They refused it would explanation or hearing my case. I explained my case on their live chat. Had to ring round to even get instructions to find THAT. refund not given and no reason. I deleted my account. They're liars and thieves. Do not use!!!!!”

“Order was not delivered, was told I'd have to order again but just eat would refund. So I paid for a meal twice. Didn't receive any refund. Then received an email saying that they won't refund me, but thank you for understanding. So I tried calling. No number works, tried online chat and that wasn't working. So I emailed them again. And they said now the decision was made they can't do anything. Absolutely fuming. ABYSMAL”

“I would do 0 stars if I could. Absolutely terrible customer service. We ordered from just eat for mcdonalds. NUMBER 1 MISTAKE! It took them over an hour to deliver and when it arrived it was someone else's order. We had just spend £50 and not recieved a single thing we had asked for. We contacted mcdonalds immediately who refuse to do anything, They said it's just eats problem so need to deal with them. All this is going on well I had young children upset and hungry. I contacted just eat immediately (only email seems they don't have a contact number to get assistance immediately). They then decided to email back 8 days later requesting photos of food we never had (mind boggling) Then they wanted images of food from 8 days before. When we told them it's impossible we didn't take pictures back then and we hadn't kept the mcdonalds hanging about for 8 days smelling and going nasty. They then responded by saying we didn't meet the requirements for a refund. Lol Honestly this place is a fraud. Theft seems to be a common problem with this Company. My advice stay clear from them and go to a better more caring company like uber or deliveroo. We for sure will never order from these fraudsters again and we have put a report in the trading standards and consumer ombudsman so hopefully this fraud firm don't rob anyone else. GO TO DELIVEROO OR UBER TRUST ME SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!!”

“On November 16, 2023, I experienced a disappointing service with Just Eat. My order of a "Whole Chicken Meal" was incomplete, missing items like the Tango Orange Drink, Piri Piri Salt, and Sweet Chilli Dip, which was initially frustrating. The situation worsened during the delivery. My Ring.com camera recorded the delivery individual making unacceptable and offensive comments towards me, labelling me as "crazy" and a "liar" following the disclosure of my disability. Such behaviour is not only unprofessional but also potentially contravenes the UK's Equality Act 2010 (Equality Act 2010, c.15), designed to prevent disability-based discrimination, and could be seen as defamatory under the Defamation Act 2013, which aims to protect individuals from statements causing serious harm to reputation. Despite raising this issue with Just Eat and lodging a formal complaint, their response indicated an unwillingness to address these serious concerns. This non-action is deeply troubling and reflects negatively on Just Eat’s commitment to customer rights and ethical standards in business practice.”

“Disgusting treatment over inedible meal for 2 costing £40. Refused refund even when the restaurant authorised the refund. The restaurant handled complaint well but just eat refused to acknowledge that it iwas genuine. Never again will I give them the chance to rip me off. Deliveroo will now get my my custom”
