A shambles. This is a company that do not care one bit about their customers, they want money, and if anything goes wrong it is almost impossible to get the issue solved. Their customer support are robots with no authority to solve issues. I complained and was promised call within 24 hours, this did not happen, but when I went on to live chat, they told me they had tried to contact me twice today by phone, this simply was not true. I demanded a call and got a call 15 minutes later, again from someone with no authority to resolve the dispute. Unbelievably, no matter who badly things go wrong, how much time is wasted, and no matter if you end up with no food at all, they are only authorised to give £5 in compensation. £5!!! What an insult. It all began when I ordered dinner for myself and my partner. All was going well, I check the order progress and it said the food was cooked and they were just waiting on a delivery driver, who had been notified. 40 minutes later I get a message telling me my order has been cancelled and I will get a refund. By now it is too late to sot anything else out to eat. They stated that the order was cancelled because the restaurant did not have the food to fulfil my order... well how on earth was it cooked and ready to pick up then? 1st Lie Then I get a call from just eat, telling me my order had been cancelled. I have by now already discovered that the order was cancelled, so i was already fuming when they called. I wanted to be compensated, because I was now left with no dinner, and a period of days without my own money because of the refund processing time. I was told that they could not offer compensation, but after making it very clear that was not good enough, they offered me £5, which I told them what they could do with. She then hung up on me. I'm not one to let these things go, so I complained and was promised a call back within 24 hours. This did not happen, and then they had the audacity to tell me they had tried to call twice today, they had not. Lie 2. There are many clear indicators that this company to not care one bit about their company... 1. There is no phone number in their contact section on the website 2. Even their love chat is a robot. You can bypass this by typing 'I want to speak to a human' 3. When you do get through to customer services, it is in India. Nothing wrong with that in principle, but these people may as well be robots because you get canned reply after canned reply, and they have no ability or authority to resolve any compaint. 4. Try speaking to them on facebook, thats the best one, it is a bot, and not a good one, noone reads the messages on facebook. They are cost cutting at the expense of customer service and it really shows. I know this service is convenient, but as soon as it goes wrong, believe me, that convenience goes right out of the window. Support your local take away by ordering direct, you will still get the same services, same delivery driver, and your local take away will not have to pay a cut to this awful company. Plus in my experience delivery charges are much lower if you order direct.

It's a scam! Just eat sent me an email offering free delivery of McDonald's breakfast, so I was waiting for the McDonald's delivery, seeing it live time on the map, it stops outside my building and I was expecting the driver will buzz my door but not he went to the next building and showing my order was delivered!! Phone the restaurant straight away and they said they don't know and will phone just eat to check who's the driver. The restaurant suggested I phone just eat myself as well, the guy on the phone just reading out from the script I suspected, said he will pass it on to the investigation team and it takes 48 hours for the process! I asked him so what about my foods? He said you have to reorder it again!! And the money would be refunded if they found any fault! According to lot of it's victims, the chance is slim to get my money back. I will not order with them again.

Placed an order which never arrived customer service is dreadful- I spoke to 16 different people getting the same answer please wait 48hrs... Just Eat-an app that takes your money within seconds and yet they take 48 hours to investigate issues!

o no no 3 to 5 working days before I get refunded rang just eat to say we'll that was only money I had and now me and my daughter are without any dinner sorry u just have to wait thanks for starving us tonight and no help whatsoever at helping me

I just ordered a subway from Margate through just eat, the order arrived incomplete, I asked the driver if he was going to bring the rest of my order, he said "no, call the restaurant" taking no responsibility ( annoying) So I tried to call the restaurant about 10 times with no answer (annoying) so I called just eat to complain was put on hold twice, the second time was for 30 mins, finally I gave up as it was clear to me that just eat take no responsibility either. Needless to say I will never use Just eat or subway ever again as they can get away with charging you money for nothing.

I think just eat is a scam company, they let scam people had their meal and claimed their money back use any reason . Where were the money ? They pocketed it or really -the customers claimed back the money? It’s like you bought an ice cream ,ate it , don’t like it , and go back to the shop asking the money back . Do you think the restaurant didn’t spend money buy the ingredients? Do you think they didn’t pay to bring somebody in to cook and serve. If people have no respect for others people’s work then never order again from takeaway or never go out to eat . Greasy people !

Spoke with Bharath. C who was extremely helpful and resolved my issue in minutes and he was especially apologetic for the previous person I had spoke to who was very unhelpful. Thank you Bharath. C it was appreciated.

Missing items Had to explain to the help / call centre what was missing only to be told they wouldn’t fix it Told I couldn’t speak to a supervisor or on duty manager. Still not refunded or items sent

didn't even want to give a star. I can see so many people with 1 star for just eat. Ordered for first time with just eat absolutely horrendous and disgusting customer service. Treated terribly. Don't eat with them. They don't know what they are doing either. Ordered a takeaway with them from Indian restaurant MOSSLA Kirby Cross Essex absolutely dreadful food eaten takeaway from them first time ordered kebab in pitta turned up with bright red uncooked meat in a tin no pitta bag of salad, food was cold and gave us mushrooms and didn't order mushrooms. Awful. Just eat wouldnt help. Please don't eat with them.

Just eat refusing refund for cold inedible food as the restaurant know how to play the game and not mark as delivered. So just eat can't step in. It was also 2 hours late. They have cut me off from. Online chats. And refused any help at all. Other than They called the restaurant who said food was hot when they had it. Disgusting service.

Ordered Many times from Just Eat Usually fine. On the 16th/6/20. Put a pre-order in at around 3.30ish as I was going to work for 6. First arrival time 5.15 Great. Second Arrival time 5.30 bit of a rush but ok. 3rd Arrival time 5.55. To late. Better cancel. Got the number to cancel.The phone had been cut off. After finally actually speaking to a person and not the bloody bot. Managed to cancel to be told I would only be refunded 50%. WHY??? 50% WOULD BE GOING TO THE RESTAURANT. Because I dident cancel in time and they made the food. Is it my fault they had their phone cut off???? Then just eat said I would have to contact the company myself. How the phone as been cut off. They told me to leave a review. That I did. And because it mentions Them they did NOT print what I wrote just put up a star. Disgusting will never use again. Also where is my 50% refund. The company IS A JOKE.

Something will go wrong now and again, of course. But the real test of a company is how it responds when it does. In my case: dreadfully. I ended up with food not arriving even 90 minutes after the delivery time, and being six times (!) promised that the driver had been checked with and the driver was only a few minutes away. It's hard to believe those "checks" were real, as the driver never appeared in the promised time. Just Eat's customer service team also didn't see the problem with telling me the driver was 2 minutes away and then, 15 minutes later, saying the driver was 10 minutes away without any explanation at all for what was going on. Just Eat also tried to insist that I pay for the order (which was why I had to persist for so long with asking where the food was), and repeatedly told me that I should rate the restaurant poorly if I was unhappy, even though the problem was with the Just Eat and the (fictitious?) drivers, not the restaurant.

Appalling service. Ordered food from a local restaurant who failed to deliver, but marked the order as delivered. Whether they delivered to the wrong address, or just did not bother I don’t know. What I do know is it wasn’t delivered to my address. After contacting Just Eat about this I was told the only thing I can do is phone the restaurant, I explained that I have done this constantly for the previous half hour, I was told there is nothing they can do and I have to contact the restaurant, with the time that passed during this conversation (nearly an hour), the restaurant had closed, so would no longer be able to contact the restaurant tonight. Just eat have told me I will need to contact the restaurant tomorrow to sort the delivery of my food. So the food I wanted tonight I have to arrange for tomorrow and that is all the help these guys give. Stole my money.

My food was cold and overcooked. just eat customer service is horrendous. I have ordered many times through just eat and this is the first time i have needed to complain about my food. it was so poor and although a small amount of money i felt it was only right to complain at such a poor service. i was in a live chat and a queue of 40 4 times!!!! i explained the problem over and over, they asked me for photo evidence of food that was cold? honestly how is that possible.... i contacted them immediately after the delivery by the time we spoken about photos an hour later i had thrown it away!! they closed my complaint. i have been completely ripped off. i am seeking now to take it further out of principle. AVOID JUST EAT AT ALL COST

Ordered food that never showed up. Contacted customer services to rectify this and was basically told well the driver said it is delivered so there is nothing that we can do on our end. Paid for a takeaway that I never got to eat. Just eat stole my money, called me a liar and insulted me. Never using the service again after years of use and will be making sure my friends and family don’t either.
