A warning to any Nannies looking to use this service:
I received an email from someone in the agency and the woman personally insulted me and was extremely unprofessional, then months later I was contacted by someone via Indeed and when I spoke to her on the phone she had no phone etiquette at all whatsoever- as I was explaining my resume info she interrupted me and refused to let me finish my sentences and seemed upset that I wasn't giving her the answer she wanted- as I was trying to figure out a solution again mid sentence she interrupts me and says "best of luck to you" completely cutting me off and ending the conversation in a totally disrespectful manor which makes me think the woman in the email and the woman on the phone was the same person.
This agency was already in possession of my application and resume yet told me I would need to redo the entire process so just be prepared to jump through hoops and be disrespected.
Sadly this only hurts the families that are looking for care for their children because their rude unprofessional interactions drive away excellent candidates. I am a highly qualified nanny of over 15 years and now because of them the family seeking child care will have to settle for someone less qualified.
There are plenty of other agencies you can work with that are FAR better and will not treat you like this.
Also- take a look at the THREATENING response that was given to a nanny that gave a negative review on Google
On Google reviews there are plenty of businesses that get negative reviews and handle them gracefully and try to make the situation right but here you'll find that's not the case- in all my years of reading reviews I've never once seen a business threaten someone as a response- and these are people that work with children and families- very disturbing”
“A total WASTE OF MONEY, avoid this antiquated, overpriced and stuck up agency!!! I used Kensington Nannies to find me a nanny as I'd just had a second child, and needed extra help. I hired a candidate that was supposed to be pre-vetted by them, and on first glance, the candidate seemed suitable, but subsequently we decided to let her go due to various issues. I paid Kensington Nannies a very high fee for the placement, thinking it will be a long term nanny hire, but the girl barely lasted 4 months, and because I was 2-3 weeks out of their "cut off" period, they're refusing to offer any refund whatsoever. Anyone that has small babies, knows the first 6 months are a total blur, between sleep deprivation and running after the toddler, I'd lost track of time, and did not submit my complaint to the agency within the first 12 weeks. Nevertheless, any professional childcare agency should look at the situation holistically and offer some sort of compensation. I'm utterly disgusted by their lack of understanding, it was the biggest waste of money of all time and had I known of the likes of Koru Kids or Bubble or other Facebook nanny groups at the time, I would have never used this overpriced old school agency.”
