I have been using The Lakeside Collection for several years, especially for Christmas. I have always been happy with the quality and the prices. However, after this year's experience, I'm calling it quits. Not only did I pay in full at the time the order was placed, but the company also authorized an extra draw on my bank account for almost half of the price of my order. Their explanation was: "Currently, what you see is an Authorization, not an actual charge. Authorizations hold that amount in your account to assure that funds are there when we finalize the order and charge the account. Once your order ships, we will settle payment for the correct amount of your order. There may be times where the amount my even be a few cents less but never for more". If it's never for more, why are they reserving extra money from my account. If the full amount for the total of the order has been authorized for me, shouldn't that be enough? There also was no mention of this practice at anytime during the order process. I first called the company to address the issue. They took my information and told me someone would call me back. It's been 4 hours with no call to address this. I gave up and used the chat platform from the website. I'm very disappointed and will no longer be using this company.

Their chat bot John Magbago takes excessively long too reply!!! They only seem to have only one chat bot. If u order a product and cancel 1 second later they will not cancel the order. They claim once u hit the key to process the charge they will no longer be allowed to cancel the order. Report them to BBB and the Federal Trade Commission! They purposefully make this difficult!!!!

Can't even send me a catalog, requested one 3 times 2 months ago, its getting close to christmas representative says they don't currently have one. Huh? Guess they don't want my business. They've gone way down hill, reps are from China, won't send a catalog, i am done with this company

Why buy more junk from China? I ordered years ago but quit when this country became too dependent on Chinese junk. American made is for me. I want to help America not companies controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. That goes for companies like this that make their millions by selling Chinese-made junk. Also if a product is shipped from U.S. but made in China, no thanks.

I don't like that your catalogs no longer have order forms. I have called twice to receive one in the mail and was told 1-2 weeks and still haven't gotten them. This was back in June!!

I am a LONG time customer of Lakeside Collection. Up until a few months ago, I loved shopping with them but recently the website stopped accepting ANY credit card from me (all working, viable cards) the customer service personnel are clueless and the phone wait times are horrendous. That’s it for me!

After shopping with this company for years, I finally was a victim of the infamous perks charge, which I did not sign up for. I called customer service and an extremely rude and condescending representative named Mark started lecturing, saying that you probably checked the box and you should be more careful when ordering. They lost a very good customer today because of this man's attitude. Very argumentive!

Very sneaky was able to charge me $16.95 a month. When I saw the charge on my card I called them right away and asked for them to cancel my subscription. I must have unknowingly agreed. I will never order from them again. I tried to unsubscribe online was not very easy. My credit card provided a telephone number which I called, and they answered right away and I requested they cancel the subscription. So, basically whatever "deal" they had they made up with the $16.95 charge. Of course they lost a customer forever.

Complete rip off. Plants were sent 2 months late only after I called to ask why I hadn't received. Then charged my credit card monthly a perk fee of $17 month without my knowledge. Disgraceful company. Don't use them.

Nothing went wrong, yet, but I am assuming it will after reading these reviews. They never sent me an order number through my email, so I am assuming the gift I sent to someone will never be received. I'm trying to be positive, but it's not easy.

Best prices for a better quality item. Most unusual pieces, both aesthetically & practical. Been a customer for decades! My go to for Christmas items in particular. Today was just a little splurge with the firecracker deals for the 4th of July!

I agree with all the negative reviews. Years ago, I used Lakeside a lot. I have not ordered from them in several years, but I did recently. One of the items was not as advertised. I called customer service to send it back and was told I had to pay a return fee greater than what I paid for the item. What company these days charges a return fee?? So I just threw it in the garbage. No more Lakeside for me.

This company shows a price in the catalog, then charges your credit card twice the amount!!! Shameful Customer service does nothing to help!

This company automatically signed me up for a $16.95/month subscription when I ordered something. I'm on a budget and I cannot afford this. I will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau and possibly my state attny general. What a ripoff!

LakesideCollection used 2 b a wondrful company, w/beautiful items & great customr srvice! But no more! Since being undr new ownrship, they put previous customers accts in collections! & now u cant evn undrstand a word the reps are saying! U have 2 ask them 4-5 times to repeat themselves! All foreigners! & their new customr srvice reps cant evn accept my pymt! Mon-Fri 8am-1pm only! Nvr bothered telling us that tho! Cant pay ovr the phone nymore, have to do it thru a live prson in the collections dept now! Bc they changed their pay-by-phone numbr w/o bothering to tell us that eithr! Ive nvr been so frustrated trying to make a pymt! What a go-around u have to go thru now! I am a long-time customr who has spent thousands of dollars at this company! & ive NEVER been late on a pymt! But they threw my xcellent in collections like its trash! W/o evr evn having the courtesy to tell me! This long-time customr will nvr b a customr again! Im gonna still make my pymts, but when my balance is $0, its a final bye-bye! Never again will i go thru what ive had to go thru ovr the last 2 days! Just to make a pymt! What company wont accept ur monthly pymt!!? If i could rate this new ownrship, i'd give them a big fat zerrrro!!!

BEWARE.....This company, offers a "rebate" that you must sign up for. In the process of saying you want the "rebate" you supposedly agree to a subscription to a service that costs $16 .95 a month. They just start taking it out of your account and when you call they claim you "agreed" to it by clicking the box that says you get a $10 rebate. I have ordered from this company for many years, because I like the products and fast shipping. This deceptive business practice has caused them to lose a customer. I am sending back my order unopened. They claim they will refund my money in 4 weeks, even though I paid them immediately in good faith. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

BUYER BEWARE OF LAKESIDE COLLECTIONS. THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS $14.95 A MONTH FOR LSCPERKS, WHICH I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THIS WAS. I GOT A MAGAZINE IN THE MAIL BROUGHT AND PAID FOR MY ORDER IN 2020 AND NEVER ORDERED FROM THEM AGAIN. COME TO FIND OUT I WAS GETTING CHARGED $14.95 A MONTH FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS. THEY NEVER GOT A SIGNATURE FROM ME, I NEVER GOT A LETTER, TEXT, OR VOICE MAIL SAYING THAT I AGREE TO THEM TAKING THIS OUT OF MY CREDIT CARD. THEN I TRIED REACHING OUT TO THEM AND WAS BLOCKED!! I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS IS HAPPENING TO WITH THIS COMPANY, SO BEWARE, THEY WILL GET YOU WITHOUT YOU KNOWING IT. PLUS THERE ITEMS ARE CHEAP QUALITY, NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. WILL BE GETTING IN CONTACT WITH OTHERS ABOUT THIS COMPANY INCLUDING THE BBB...
