“I used to order alot of stuff and always paid for it when I ordered. All of a sudden I get a call from your collection department saying I owe you money. So I asked what it was I ordered cause I always pay up front. During the first time you called me I was forwarded to 6 different customer service people and nobody could tell me what it was that I ordered, I was on the phone that for 2 hours and never hot an answer. Since that first call you have called me several times and every time I ask what I ordered and I'm forwarded to customer service again and that's happened atleast 10 times, now it's been about 9 months since you started harassing me and even if you could finally tell me what I ordered, I probably wouldn't even remember if I ordered it. I've spent atleast 6 hours on the phone with your idiot customer service department, the way I see it now, you owe me money for my time wasted”

“I ordered a Rio Samba rose bush and a Climbing Joseph's Coat rose bush. Both have blooms that change color, yellow, orange & red. Two bushes came, I planted them, and now they have blooms--pink! I did not want pink.”

“I ordered some items on 90 day plan back in September 2020 I made 3 payments but every month I get a statement from there credit company telling me they are going to sue me I have mailed them copies of my checks at least 6 times every month I have new copies to send on Monday ,Customer service said I have zero balance but 2 weeks later get another statement from the credit company saying I had better pay if we go to court I will win I have the copies of my checks after almost a year they should get it right”

“What’s going on with this monthly charge ? I did not authorize a monthly charge of $ 14.95 . This is ridiculous . Disputing these charges on my charge card . How can you charge a monthly fee when I’ve only ordered one time from This company ?”

“The stuff is cheaply made and nothing like it appears online or in the catalog and I have made my payments to them early every single month and even though I have available credit, it always denies my order when I place one. Should I ever have trouble paying my bills this place will certainly be the first to go unpaid, because it is not appreciated!!”

“I had gone online and placed an order on the 25th of May and I later found out that lakeside collections had charged me $14.95 for a subscription that I did not authorize. I feel that it’s a slick way to get money out of people but it’s illegal to do that without someone’s permission. I told them if my money is not put back in my account I am going to the police dept because I consider that theft especially when they try to convince you that you subscribe because they know they were wrong in the first place. Because if this was something I subscribed to I would no about it because of the $14.95. Charge so don’t try to play me.”

“Lakeside used to be a favorite of mine. My last order was placed, paid for, received in Sept 2020. Now these lunatics are calling daily for months stating I owe. How? Our transaction was concluded. They seem to be following the Wells Fargo playbook and signing up customers unknowingly into a 'perks' program. Check out Better Business Bureau to read why NOT to do business with this company.”

“After reading all negative reviews I want to give my two cents. I like expensive stuff and I buy really expensive stuff and yes Lake side items are cheap. I ordered around 8 items from lakeside because they have unique and nice outdoor items hard to find even in Amazon. Like giant tic tac toe, huge collapsible food cover, 12" wide super narrow buffet table etc. For furr loving people they doormats like custom made for you! So I got to love this store.”

“They keep sending me e-mails relating to deliveries and queries for a US customer with the same name as mine. I do not live in the US and have had the same e-mail address for 20+ years. Have tried to get them to correct the e-mail address they have for this woman, so she can get her own e-mails - I gather from their response that they don't care very much about their customers, though they did tell me to 'have a great day' while failing to deal with it .....”

“I purchased 2 outside umbrellas. After the second time putting the canopies down on both, the corner ripped. Customer service wants me to pack up both umbrellas and mail them back then they will exchange. It’s a base and huge pole. Finally a supervisor agreed, after I sent pictures, to send the replacement canopies. Well they lied and sent me screws. When I called they have no notes of any prior conversations and the only supervisor is at lunch. The lady didn’t know when she would be back. They claim per policy I have to pack up two outdoor umbrellas with bases and purchase boxes then they will replace. They will not send me a replacement and let me use their boxes to send back.”

“So I ordered a pair of black shoes on April 22. Then a couple of days later, on the 26, my account was charged. Fine, right? Well May 4 rolls around and no package. I contact customer service and apparently my package was in Illinois, across the country from where I live?! And if I hadn’t reached out, I never would’ve known that?? The only hint I got were promotional emails that went to my spam saying they hoped I was enjoying my purchase?! I couldn’t track my package on my own because I hadn’t created an account, so I had to contact customer service just to have an idea of where my package was? Incredibly lame. Do no recommend.”

“Such a scam DO NOT ORDER FROM THOS COMPANY!!! They will automatically charge you $14.95 for membership with telling you about . I called to discuss the extra charge and got told that I agreed once I enter my email. Not true the website states that if you want to get news letters to enter your email no purchase necessary Once the so called customer service person told me that she just hung up on me.. Very very very disappointed NEVER AGAIN!!!!!”

“This was the second time I ordered from The Lakeside Collection. The first time was in beginning of November for a Christmas gift. I didn't receive it until late January. Second time I ordered and was told I would receive my order on April 16th., again nothing and now told I will receive it on the 22nd. Never again.”

“I ordered plants. I received them very disappointed. Three were very very small, the other plants I ordered were dead. Called customer service was told Lakeside expected plants to arrive dead and it was my responsibility to bring them back to life. What the hell.”

“These folks are deceptive, sneaky, and underhanded to put it nicely. They are brokers. Customer service is nothing more than poorly equipped phone rooms, scattered across the globe, manned by excuse makers. Not problem solvers. Had I known, I never would have ordered anything. Unfortunately, I placed an order. Two weeks later, I had heard nothing from them, so, I called. I spend the entire morning being shifted around the globe. Finally spoke to someone supposedly in the U.S., they hung up on me. I called back and selected place an order, then spoke to someone in sales who claims to have canceled the order. But there is no confirmation of that, yet. Not happy. Not happy at all. Do not order anything from these people. It is not a real company, it is shell company brokering for other scheisters.”
