“TIA clinic has really friendly staff especially the two nurses who treated me today 29.11.2022. The Doctor was very kind and explained everything to me. Very efficiently run clinic.”
“Excellent care by all staff involved with my elderly mother. Good communication and she was treated with respect by all. NHS is an absolute privilege - you don’t quite realise that until you need it.”
“I was in Barmoral ward 16 and I would like to say there were good and bad staff... But I would like to thank Sam for looking after me on the 16/9/22 she was out standing. Nhs is under funded and the staff do what they can
We are so lucky to have free health care thank for all you do.”
“Waited 3 hours to see a gp to be told I don’t why you have been sent to me you need to go majors but will have to wait another 7 hours . . I was with a adult with learning disability who discharged himself as couldn’t wait anymore . . I am then left worrying all night hoping he’s ok for dr in morning .”
“Ward 36 disgusting went to pick my mum up still in her nhs night clothes same pads even though we took some in so dry no fluids could not talk I will take this further”
“In for possible complications post major surgery. Came in late morning and have been waiting all day without food or drink. Need a simple ultrasound and still waiting 7 hours later. Nobody is saying why there is a delay or anything, you’re just expected to sit and wait silently. Would rather be dying in my bed than this - it makes you feel like less of a human, being ignored like this is really awful. If they just said why there was such a delay you’d be able to cope but they don’t say anything to you it’s rubbish.”
“had my basil cell removed yesterday I was made comfortable and well looked after the service was brilliant was told everything about what I would be having done. the team that looked after me was Lucy England & Gaynor Wonderful Lady's thank you both very much for looking after me
Mr Brian Apse”
“To start with communication is a joke, recieved only a text to say when the appointment is not even where it is. Assumed a letter would arrive but never did, Parking is terrible, had to que on the road for 30minutes just to get into a carpark. Due to not knowing where the appointment was we just had to take a guess and went to the building that deals with these appointment, WRONG, had to walk across to the other side of the hospital to the correct building. Got to the correct place 5 minutes before the 11.15 appointment, when waited for and hour and a half for the appointment, then got sent across to another building for a blood test which was a further hour wait, Rediulous. Had to add money to the car as we were waiting so long to be seen then had to move the car as we ran out of change, which involved sitting in the traffic for the hospitals car park for even more time. Worst hospital experience we've ever had. No one cared and let us just sit there looking confuses, and when asked just said, "I'll find out" which lead to even more waiting. I know the NHS are struggling but 3 hours for a 15 minute chat and a blood test is absurd.”
“The care and support of the staff here are amazing, I was very well looked after, and the ward was super clean! It's a shame to see the low reviews because people are having to wait around. The NHS are constantly under strain through no fault of there own. Just remember the care they provide you not how long you've had to wait.
Thank you to all the staff here your amazing!!”
“In 2011 the nurses behaviour was disgusting especially a+e nurse Helen now 37 years old was 27 then. She has brown hair she's homophobic against women and a psychopath! She said about me that I should of chosen children instead that's what she does she makes it boys though then gave me a painful injection I don't think she thought I would remember!!!”
“I can’t speak too highly of my recent experiences at LRI visiting on 28th Jan, 30 Jan, 6th Feb, receptionist, consultants, triage staff, X-ray staff, porter and volunteer commitment to care was exemplary the fact that there was a never ending stream of patients never phased them. The kindness shown while dealing with the never ending que is a testament to the NHS concept, yes it may have taken a little time before being seen but each person including myself was treated with great care and importance something rarely seen today, so well done LRI your staff are a credit to the NHS”
