The people I spoke to were all helpful and really well mannered. however. there were a few occasions where I had several calls in one day from people who had not spoken to other team members or hadn't opened notes. In one instance this led to me being called by one of the team who told me I was uninsured and was going to be charged a higher rate. Both of which were untrue but took 2 phone calls of around 25minutes to resolve. Molly was helpful and seemed to be very switched on. The other members of the team less so. Ultimately, it just took too long and too many calls.

I created a policy with you. No confirmation email or any type of communication.

Quote given by letter wasn’t available making me spending an extra £50. Agent was helpfull but couldn’t do what I really asked for which was getting the offer given by lexham by letter.

I don’t agree on the amount of access needed to be paid

The premium might seem reasonable initially, but any changes incur disproportionately large admin fees. They then double your premium on renewal despite a claim free year. Needless to say I went elsewhere this year.

Sad that it keeps getting more expensive year on year. Cover decreases and premiums increase.

No paper work sent through, all on line, the cost saved approx £3 ruins the experience

The quote I was offered for a renewal had increased by £100 (30%) compared to prior year. I decided to browse the market and found that Lexham were offering to the public (for the same vehicle and options I had before) the price of £250 which I had been paying before. Do Lexham punish customer loyalty ?

As i was renewing my policy with the, i found the tone of the person on the phone was, in my views, quite direct and borderline rude and aggressive. Not trying to make things understandable and not paying much attention to the facts that English is not my first language.

I see most of the reviews concern closing the insurance contract, rather than filing a claim. In my opinion, the way an insurer handles a claim should be at the heart of how you evaluate their service. In the case of Lexham insurance I have to say my claim was dragged for weeks for no apparent reason. The day my scooter was stolen they called me to raise my insurance fee and ask for more money if I wanted my claim to be validated, as I had failed to declare the additional driver on the insurance had his motorbike stolen a few months before. Genuine mistake on my side, as I would have never expected to have to do that. They said a manager would call me to explain what was going on but nobody called. It took them two weeks to check an estimate already made by a garage and my scooter was stolen the day before I had my first MOT booked. The day before. According to the rule I had another three weeks to circulate with my scooter but the moment I had to renew my road tax I would have had to have an MOT done. It was all scheduled and the scooter was stolen. Lexham Insurance decided to knock off £50 from my reimbursement because of that. When I agreed to the estimate they made for the reimbursement (despite all of the above) they asked for my keys and my bank account which I provided immediately. Another 10 days went by without hearing from them. I called them and asked what was going on, an employee realised everything was okay and set the payment process in motion, which she said will take another 4 working days. In my estimate, they deliberately delayed the process by 3 weeks. And I am not happy with the quote they made or the money they will refund. So keep that in mind next time you review this company, as really it doesn't take a great insurance company to offer you a deal to cover your scooter or renew your contract. Just pray you will never have to file a claim.

I rang today at 12:07 to speak to someone regarding my renewal quote ref no 428025ZJEE. I wanted to call to Lexham to query the quote price and change some details. I spoke to a gentleman, I can’t remeber his name, he confirmed my renewal quote but seemed reluctant to look at any of my information for me. Some of the info was incorrect on my documentation and I also wanted to see if the price would be reduced if I added some other information. He said that my price wouldn’t change if I changed any of the details on my policy and that the details that were incorrect wouldn’t void my insurance if I had a claim so there was no point in changing them. I didn’t want to argue or question this as I’m not clued up on what can effect insurance premiums/claims so trusted the gentleman and just finished he call. I only renewed my quote because Lexham was still the cheapest, if it wasn’t the cheapest provider I would have gone elsewhere based on the service I received today. Thanks, Callum.

Sadly my experience with the sale of Lexham Insurance was not pleasant. The sales person I was dealing with while purchasing my insurance made me feel awful - he almost forced me to add on a personal injury insurance which I eventually refused as the increase of the fee from last year was significant. My policy for Vespa 125 CC has gone up for the same vehicle with no claims for Third Party, Fire And Theft from £394.27 in 2017 to £505 in 2018. The deal that was offered to me on renewal of my policy was £498 which I missed as I was abroad and didn't have a chance to call them - still the increase in a policy was HUGE. Unfortunately entire insurance industry increased their premium fees and there is nothing that we can do - I could just downgrade to Third Party and take the risk but I would rather not worry about a theft of my scooter. Anyway, the whole telephone experience was really poor and I wish I have sorted everything online.

As Lexham are one of a handful of insures that cover my bike, they use this an excuse to increase your excess, reduce the value of your bike and increase your premium.

I received a phone call with my renewal quote a couple of weeks before the renewal deadline. I was happy with the quote and decided to go ahead. Was told the card on file would be used to take payment. I explained the card had been updated and I was concerned payment would not go through without updating the card details. I was assured that if such a thing occurred they would make sure I was contacted straight away and it would be sorted out. Of course the payment wasn’t taken and although a phone message was left I wasn’t spoken to. A week later I noticed payment had not been taken so I called Lexham. I was told I would have to be requoted as my cover had lapsed. The new quote was £100 more and the excess nearly double. Not my idea of great customer service.

Not impressed with the call charges for your 0845 6035310 number when we bought 2 months cover. Call charges were £11.23 plus VAT. Absolute disgrace, especially as there was no mention of the high costs. I hope that this can be refunded. Shocking. I’ve found the OfCom statement on calls to NTS numbers(like your 0845 one) follow the link here: you are breaking the guidelines but not declaring that this is an expensive number to call:https://www.ofcom.org.uk/about-ofcom/latest/media/media-releases/2015/call-charges-clearer-from-wednesday
