“Liberty is much more affordable than traditional insurance, especially when government mandated insurance policies require people to carry coverage they don’t need. Liberty is also much easier to communicate with than traditional insurers.”

“It is cheaper than insurance, which means that all the money I would have spent on insurance I can spend on my medical bills. So far, I have not been reimbursed for anything this year!!! I get letters occasionally asking for more info for bills, but you use your accession number for my bills rather than plain language such as My name, doctor office and date, which would be much easier to navigate. Also, many providers will not work with your programs as they are not getting paid. Further, despite simply paying the bills as they come in, (since I owe them whether or not you pay anything) I have to go back and get diagnosis codes, which other healthcare members do not need. Itemized receipts are not common, and I have to request them again and again. We are really looking at other health share companies as this has been very disappointing.”

Thank you for reaching out, Charles. To ensure that bills from providers are accurate, we do require procedure and treatment codes. This is common practice for both healthshare ministries and insurance companies. This information also helps us determine if the price charged is fair and reasonable. Many of our members have been very successful in receiving a self-pay discount from their providers and submitting the bill, with the necessary codes, themselves. This work on the part of our members results in lower costs for all. We have been successfully sharing eligible medical expenses in 120 days or less. As an alternative to health insurance Liberty HealthShare is not insurance, we’re a non-profit Christian health sharing ministry made up of like-minded individuals sharing each other burdens and helping assist one another with medical bills.
