“Although this reel is Loop's entry-level reel, it is still top-notch in quality, especially for the price point. I haven't fished it yet, but I know it will perform better than expected. My only gripe is that it comes in a cloth bag instead of a reel case. I understand to keep the cost down is why it comes like this, but the reel is very nice and should be protected from the factory better.”

“Good water proof bag. Straps a bit fiddly. Very large a little bit awkward for me as I’m not that big. Definitely need to have back pack straps. It was extremely good for a week away sailing.”

“Good but not quite there. Would benefit from couple of loops internally to attach keys, dry bag for phone ... couple of loops externally to attach leashes for pliers or similar and a 'sleeve' on the outside into which say forceps could be housed on that leash. Minor but important if you look to simply switch hip pack during the day if changing rod / target species.”

“It is an excellent compact, watertight and reliable box in which you can carry all your dry flies, nymphs and streamers for a day or a weekend. Suggestions for improvement: (1) the bottom of the compartments could be made in a light color to improve the view of the flies. I have lined them with cream foam. (2) Several compartments could be subdivided with a simple clear plastic that the customer can install or not, according to his needs. I subdivided them with small wooden slats, and managed to almost double the number of compartments. (3) A couple of compartments could be merged into one, allowing to carry streamers.”

“The jacket is well made of excellent material and construction but the pockets are not satisfactory. My old Simms jacket has two big pockets on the outside and pockets inside the jacket allowing storage of plenty of tackle. These pockets are too small, of irregular size and open vertically making it difficult to put much in them as there is no room and the jacket becomes tight. What’s more the vertical zip means tackle can fall out easily. I use all Cross travel rods and like the brand and bought the jacket online without looking closely at it which I much regret as it was expensive. My guide in Iceland had the same jacket and the same criticisms.”
