Stay well clear My wife and I had booked a hotel and flight through Loveholidays to Egypt, however 3 days before our holiday was due to end EasyJet emailed us to cancel our flights due to the Corona Virus ( first wave ) , we were horrified and spent the last 3 days of our holiday trying to find a way to get home. During this time we were constantly trying to contact Loveholidays and EasyJet to aid us in getting back, we received no help whatsoever. The story goes on, however at the end of July EasyJet emailed us to say that they had refunded us £389.72 via Loveholidays (because we had booked the flight through them ) due to abandoning us. After a couple of weeks we still hadn’t received our refund and contacted them. They said that they had paid the cash into our account on 13th August.... the bank said they have not had anything back from them. After all the distress and extra costs involved we incurred in getting home from Egypt In March we are well and truly exasperated, please think very carefully before you book a holiday and part with your hard earned money to Loveholidays, they have kept our money and lied about paying it back to us, please be warned

I'm sure in 'normal' times this online company is as good as any of them, certainly in price, but having 2 spain holidays covid cancelled LH were dreadful to contact, near impossible to get a refund in a reasonable timeframe, liars...on live chat, and totally disregarded the fact that a Package Holiday, organized by THEM meant a FULL REFUND....but flight monies were left to customers to try and claw back from the lying cheating airlines. Avoid.

Bad customer service, no trace of what I’ve been told by other advisors and so far weeks of delays waiting for my refund that I paid them a fee to process. Won’t use again.

Shocking customer service. LH Took my money for a package holiday then when it was cancelled due to flight interruptions due to covid they refused to pay it all back as a package. Sent to airline, sent back to LH, someone has my money!!!will never book with this company again and will tell everyone else to book with a reputable company.

Been trying to contact love holidays since September after they changed our departure airport and flight. They continued taking payments for a Florida holiday Feb 2021 despite the fact that they had made a significant change to my booking that I didnt agree to and that it wasnt suitable for myself. I tried to speak to them with their chat function, customer services advisor wouldnt give any information and avoided most questions then exited the chat despite waiting nearly an hour to be spoken to! I had a call in December to say our flights was cancelled and to ask when we would like to reschedule for. I told them I had been chasing a refund for months and that was what I had wanted. The advisor turned sour and unhelpful. Flights cancelled months prior to holiday but apparently it will be March at the earliest before I see a refund! I'm not hopeful of that either. This company are a disgrace. I would rather pay double the price for my holiday to be treated fairly and to be able to make contact when I need to. Months of stress caused by them. TripAdvisor reviews get them an average score, for every real negative review they are left they counteract it with 5 fake positive ones. If they spent more time to respond to customers or process refunds when they are legally obligated to they wouldnt need someone to fight against all the bad reviews. This review website had a much more reliable rating, it would be lower if you could leave less than 1 star.

Absolute sham of a company. Sold us a package deal but won’t refund as a package deal. Please people, take my advice, do not have dealings with this company!

Love Holidays are not a Travel Agent. They are a Tech Company that has embedded itself in the holiday market and taken registrations with ATOL, ABTA (formerly), etc. to allow them to take commissions from other room sellers and direct airlines by acting as the agent handling your money. That's all fine when it's "situation normal". Problem is, faced with a major issue - Covid-19 - they are spectacularly undone. They employ very few industry experts and their staff may as well be working for QVC or Littlewoods. Hence, they are unable to offer any semblance of a customer interface or even understand the product they have sold you and the laws that govern your contract with them to provide a package holiday. Backed by an ever changing set of terms and conditions that fly in the face of their legal responsibilities, they misrepresent their obligations in an effort to delay the inevitable or beat customers into submission, when they will just walk away from their rightful refund. The first sign was when Love Holidays withdrew their ABTA membership late last year. ABTA is a trade body that emphasises professional standards and fair treatment of customers. Their recent relocation of their head office to an EU jurisdiction is another red flag. The CMA recently instructed them to repay all outstanding refunds by 31st March. I'd say its fairly short odds they keep delaying, obstructing and confusing refund claimants until that time and enter some sort of insolvency process, leaving the vast majority to claim via ATOL.

If I could leave a minus rating I would this company have treated all their customers terribly and blatantly ignore the CMAs ruling. Will never book with them again.

If I could rate less than 1 star out of 5 then I would. I booked a package holiday with loveholidays (flights and hotel) in February 2020 for April 2020. Due to the coronavirus pandemic this had to be cancelled. I contacted loveholidays on multiple occasions and was told I had to wait until after June 31st for a refund. I have been given my refund for the hotel but am still awaiting a full flight refund. I have contacted loveholidays several times thorughout 2020 and been told I have to wait, despite Ryanair emailing me in August 2020 to tell me the flight money had all been refunded to Loveholidays. It is now January 2021 and I am still waiting for the rest of my refund as loveholidays are refusing to give this to me. Due to the poor customer service and breach of contract I have had to contact citizens advice who have reported loveholidays to trading standards.

We were in France from from the 26th October 2021, intending to come home on the 31st, on a trip to Disney. The French national lockdown was announced late on the 28th to come in to effect at midnight on the 29th. As such we had to return home on the 30th and weren't able to stay in Dream Castle on the 30th. Disney refunded us for the day we missed and this included a day's worth of meal plan which we could not use. We have waited and waited for Love Holidays (Love Holidays who offered the option for a refund or to move the date again) since the start of November till today, 15/01/2021 for a response, only to be told the following from Dream Castle/Love Holidays (the below is copied and pasted exactly as it was written)..... "Good Afternoon, I hope this message reaches you well. I hope you're doing well and staying safe at this difficult time. Thank you for taking the time to contact Loveholidays. Please accept our apologies for the delay in providing you with a full response. Firstly, we are so sorry to hear about your experience while on holiday. This is not what we want for our customers. We have received a response from our supplier down below replying to the complaint which you have sent us: "Dear Partner, Thank you for your email. This booking was made in August (so we all already now the insure situation at this time) and however the client choose to book a non refundable booking. So we cannot accept the cancellation free of charge Best regards, Lucie Boutet" We have sent your request to our supplier but unfortunately, the cost stays the same, the only way you can get this now refunded is through your travel insurance. While I note that the situation you faced was disappointing, it was a situation that was beyond our control, and as such, we are unable to offer a refund or any compensation at this time. I believe loveholidays have responded to you thoroughly and therefore it is with regret I inform you we have achieved all we can in this matter. It is naturally disappointing when a complaint cannot be amicably resolved yet sometimes this isn’t possible. Once again, I would like to thank you for your patience and for allowing us to investigate this complaint on your behalf. Please be advised we will now be closing this file on your booking. Thank you for contacting us and stay safe. Kind regards, Post Travel Team" This is an absurd response. We did not choose a refundable room as we did not intend to cancel the holiday, quite the opposite as WE WERE IN FRANCE!! In August at the time of booking as Dream Castle have stated, yes we did know the situation at the time, France was open, Disney was open, and the hotel was open. A refundable room gives the customer the opportunity to get a refund should they, THE CUSTOMER, not be able to honour their commitment to booking a stay in the hotel, it does not cater for France closing everything! Disney were able to refund us for what we missed as it was not our fault that France closed, Dream Castle/Love Holidays should do the same, especially since Love Holidays offered the opportunity to get a refund in the first place. It is disgusting of this hotel/Love Holidays to capitalise on a global pandemic and steal peoples money. They have chosen to not give us a refund, they clearly could if they wanted to but are trying to exploit some loophole/wordplay to justify keeping our money. £418 is what they have taken from us, Love Holidays will have kept a nice slice of that money also and we will never use them again. Its not like we've cost them money for not turning up, they were closed and have juts kept everyone's money. They must have made a fortune and exploiting the situation and morally they should be ashamed of themselves. I would advise anyone else considering using Love Holidays to be very careful!
