“I bought a loupe light and 3 batteries from Lumadent a really long time ago. 14 years ago to be exact. A few weeks ago they started to act up (it happens every few years - the switches wear out and need to be replaced). It would have been easy for Lumadent to make the repair process a pain in the butt - it usually is when shipping to Canada. Instead, my rep Michelle went above and beyond for me, not just exceeding my expectations but blowing them out of the water. I know I'm not the only one out there who really trusts Lumadent. You know you will be taken care of. The company makes great products, but more importantly they stand behind them - even 14 years later.”

“Used them for a whole day and they worked amazing! Not as bright as my corded version but this one will for sure last longer as there are no cords to break. Very light and the size of the light is good. Have an overhead light on and these and it’s all good. Very happy with my purchase. Shipping to Canada did take over three weeks which was the only downside.”

“The dental loupes are very nice. I haven't used them long so will update on that after I've been using them for a while. Just wanted to comment on the experience of purchasing the loupes and contacting and meeting the sales rep. (Location: MN). 1. The sales rep did not seem professional upon our meeting. She would be on her phone sometimes during the meeting. The meeting with her was to measure my working distance as well as just informing me about the loupes I was interested in. 2. She said I would receive a second pair of safety glasses where I can mount my light free of charge with my order but they never came with it when I received my loupes. 3. After I ordered my loupes, I did not get any emails about the order details or a receipt. Thus, I had to contact her again to get a receipt for my records. She kept saying that Lumadent will automatically send me updates on shipping and the receipt but while waiting for the loupes for 4-6 weeks, I never got any order or shipping details. This would have been nice to have for my records and inform me on updates of the package. Overall, didn't really enjoy the experience with ordering the loupes. I wish the experience with the sales rep was better.”

“I place an order for headlights On January 15th from Canada, the item got shipped January 18th. Right now it's February 4th & it doesn't look like that I am going to receive it soon. I am wondering why Lumadent doesn't use better/faster shipping companies? There are so many problems with this shipping company: 1. From the start of the shipping process it has never gave me any delivery estimate date. None! I have no idea when the package is expected to be delivered. 2. The tracking updates are so vague. "Facility in Canada" or "Facility in USA" doesn't tell anyone anything. 3. The shipping process is super slow. So I highly recommend to Lumadent to change their shipping company.”

“No real understanding of what I needed or how to solve my problem. This is in spite of my sending multiple pictures of the mount I was trying to repair. The fact that it failed in the first place was bad enough. For detailed failures - you need to try harder.”

“Very poor and unresponsive customer service. Called multiple times after my order was delayed and then the wrong part was sent despite sending pictures and multiple written descriptions. I have yet to talk to anybody on the phone after calling, always put on hold and sent to voicemail (that’s never returned). I can’t speak for the quality of the light itself as I haven’t yet had a chance to use it while I’m still waiting for pieces. The light and cord itself appears to be of adequate quality, however I was really disappointed with the small and super thin adapter “linkage arm” pieces that are made from brittle plastic and attach the light to your loupes. The other doctor I work with explained to me she has now already gone through three of these plastic little adapter pieces over the past several months and lumadent charges $30+ with shipping to send each replacement (should cost $0.10). It’s concerning such an integral piece is designed so poorly from brittle plastic instead of metal (I’m assuming to cut costs) which would immediately solve the problem. The cost is one thing, but then being without your loupes/light for the several more weeks waiting for a replacement is even more costly! I’ve attached pics of the same pieces (referred to in the review above) from a separate pair of loupes owned by a friend.”
