“Consumer beware! The name of dinners in their catalog is NOT the same as described on their web site.
Two different names/foods. So if looking at the catalog, picking out meals & THEN ordering meals on their web site you will NOT get the food items you expect. And Mackenzie simply says "it's not our fault" & you are stuck with meals you did not want or expect. Plus they are "nasty" about their inaccurate, confusing meal descriptions and discrepancies between catalog/web site re: meal items/names.

We typically send four Christmas Gifts to the family. Last year two of the four told me that the product quality was below standard (crumbled cookies, stale product). So this year we did other gifts and ordered two gifts from Mackenzie. One out of the two told us the product was awful - the cookies were old and broken on arrival. Unfortunately, your Holiday gifts look amazing in the magazine however what we are seeing is a less than acceptable product which is made worse with the price we pay. Not sure what next year holds.”
“Though the salmon is good, the photos of the gift basket shown have bottles of olives, full size items, etc. and it doesn’t come with that. I ordered these for our board and was completed embarrassed by what they received. It also shows 4 packages of salmon and they got 2. It’s very deceiving as the description is not clear at all. I won’t be using them again. It was an expensive mistake. I also did an add on and the desserts were deliver 1.5 weeks later! Ridiculous. I personally don’t care where everything comes from, it’s not a gift basket if everything is separated. Back to Harry and David we go - they do this with ease and perfection every time and it’s clear what you’re getting.”
“I ordered a gift card and didn't receive it. My credit card was charged. I have found it nearly impossible to get in touch with them to resolve the issue. They make it very difficult.”
“I ordered a $150.00 gift card on 12/23/23. I was told it would ship 12/26/23. I asked for the status of the gift card and received no response. I asked again and even tracked on line and it says "order not processed yet"?? I'm not very happy at this point with the service.”
“This was the worst TURKEY GRAVY we have ever tasted. The only thing that might change our mind is if we foundout that the gravy you sent us was the wrong gravy. It looked and somewhat tasted like bee gravy. It was the worst ever, and cost way too much.”
“Cakes arrived damaged. Replacement was sent, but it was damaged as well. Cakes were extremely unattractive and they did not taste good, either. Huge waste of $160”
“The food I ordered was terrible. I ordered Dijon chicken crescents and there was a tiny piece of chicken in it and no taste of Dijon. They were basically dough bites. I also ordered artichoke spinach bites. No spinach in them whatsoever. Will never order again.”
“The first item we tried, was horrible. I mean literally the worst tasting appetizer I have ever put in my mouth - the chicken dijon croissants. So bad that I was afraid to even serve any of the other items I ordered on Christmas which is what they were intended for. On New Year's day we tried the Mini Tropezienne. Mind you, it was just me and my husband, not a gathering. They were just "ok". Next I will prepare the Peach BBQ brisket bites. I sent a note to customer service about the chicken dijon croissants and was offered 20% off of another item - no thanks! First of all, your items are overpriced, but then for it to be inedible, you should've offered a refund on that item. I certainly don't mind paying a good price for something special and at the holidays, but if the next two items are at least "good" and since you didn't offer a refund on the inedible item, I will not be ordering again and I will let others know as well.”
“I was very disappointed in the broccoli and cheese casserole. First of all I paid $50 for it. The container was cracked and the liquid ran everywhere. Your timing on the "from frozen" which I did was way off and I later realized you only had about 15 minutes difference in baking from the "from thawed". That's not even possible. It would take a lot longer than 15 minutes to thaw.”
