The thing that makes them outstanding to us is that they continue to improve their service, including the timeliness of deliveries, and to increase their selection of offerings. They offer selections from full meals for two (or more) to special smaller samplers. The sample special of pumpkin cake roll has hooked us forever. And, we will partake of our umpteenth Turkey Roll dinner this holiday. We enjoy Chesapeake Crab Cakes products throughout the year - always a treat and a real help to the one doing the cooking!”
“I ordered the Italian sausage snd it was inedible. So hot that I could not eat anything for an hour. Had to nice my mouth. I called to complain and get a refund. The agent instead interagated me snd insisted there was no red spice in it. I took a picture of it. I have proof. So now it goes to get reviewed by someone else. This is ridiculous. I order food regularly from QVC snd never have this problem. I sm done with this company.”
“I have been a MacKenzie customer for several years. I have made it a reliable Christmas gift to one family member that loves beef and they have always been delighted by the quality of the selections. That is until this year. I sent the surf and turf dinner for 2. The filet mignon was rancid. Now anything can happen to a food shipment especially during the busy holiday season. When it was reported to Mackenzie the customer service representative was lovely and very apologetic about the mishap. But my concern is that it took several emails and another phone call to remedy the situation. 2 replacement steaks were sent, I feel that since the gift was a surf and turf dinner for two, the entire meal should have been replaced or refunded. Can you imagine eating the full meal after biting into a rancid piece of beef? I'm not sure I have confidence in your company any longer, and this is unfortunate.”
“I was very impressed with the overnight delivery of the mussels in garlic wine sauce. I ordered them 2 weeks ago and just figured they would not get here for the holiday weekend. Fed Ex delivered them at 8 AM this morning and I served them this evening. The mussels were smaller than expected but were very good. I thought they were a little salty but there were none left so that says everything! As per other reviews, quite a few of the shells were broken but it does not deter from the flavor.”
