“When I first signed up for coaching I thought it would just be about calories and macros, tracking food and numbers. But it is so much more than that. I am lucky to have the amazing Coach Colt. Together we have worked on mindset, creating new habits and changing old behaviors. Part of the journey has also included writing reflections and reading books which have been key for me. He has a fantastic book list to support this journey and life in general. All of this has set the foundation for lasting change because I’ve learned that true transformation happens from the inside out. So while I’ve done plenty of diets in the past, this is the first time I’ve had a Coach in my corner and it has been a game changer. I am no longer cutting out whole food groups and I feel confident eating out while still maintaining my goals. “I decided to start coaching with the Black Friday sale. I was hesitant due to prior experience with a coach from another source and the approaching holiday season. My main goal is weight loss, and I knew I just needed some guidance on setting appropriate macros, guiding some food choices, and just getting through the holidays. I committed to 6 months. What I have gained so much more! I have currently lost right around 20 pounds. This may not seem like much for some for this timeframe, but for me, it has been a steady decrease and also comes with some changes in mindset. I now approach gatherings or evenings out with a goal focused mind. For example, I search for the proteins and produce based options first and then fill in with other options. I make those decisions based on what I really want. I limit alcohol consumption and plan for it in advance. Daily movement is also a priority. My coach has guided me through making these decisions until they have started turning into habits. She helps me make mindful choices when dining out and provides support via weekly feedback where I can make small but impactful changes without shame or judgement. I really appreciate that! In the end it is up to me and the choices I make, but I’m glad I made the decision get coaching in order to have the guidance and gentle nudging to achieve my goals!”
