its just shocking how Marks and Spencers are treating there customers specially when people are shopping with there pockets as things get harder there was a time when the staff would say good morning to the customer now they would sooner look down at the floor than have to communicate with the customer its very clear this is a company that definitely couldn't care less weather you shop with them or not as the reviews in the south west prove this to be true

This is a Company with very Disturbing and worrying reviews if Miss Thomas the general manager from one of Marks and Spencers flagship stores can Ban a long term customer for rewarding her staff for good customer service skills and there's not many Managers with those kind of skills that work in the Torquay store and then to add insult to the customer by telling him its against company Policy for staff to take any form of gift from the customer then they should be making there staff aware of this if that's there company Policy but if Banning this Gentleman wasn't enough section Manager Nicola than rang 101 and sent the police to the customers home accusing him of sending her flowers shouting at the staff in the store when he went in to do his shopping and than accusing him of putting a review on her and her girlfriends cars which yet again was clearly all in her Histrionic head with not one shred of evidence yet she told her Husband she won the flowers at work the reviews were found in Sainsbury's and shouting at staff would have been recorded on there CCTV if you can still keep your job after doing such a evil nasty thing to someone its unbelievable but you have to feel sorry for her husband how would you ever believe a word that came from her lips even good morning would be a lie they do say your Lies will come back to haunt you one day and so they should i am sorry to say to the customer the compliment you made was clearly taken the wrong way unfortunately for you this was the case for you but you should also remember people you think are your friends aren't always your friends ? i would like also to say 99 per cent of Marks and Spencers stores are fantastic and the staff are amazing but unfortunately even the staff that work in Torquay say its a very Toxic place to work

My advice is keep out of TORQUAY FOOD HALL just read there reviews how do managers get away with behaving like that evil would be a understatement

Marks and Spencer not the same anymore, terrible customer service! Bad food, i tried to return staff caused a scene when i wanted a refund! Marks and Spencer need to realise they are not the only shop.

I visited Marks and Spencer in Tamworth on Wednesday 12th July with my husband for a suit for him and an assistant by the name of Melanie came to advise us. We could not have had better service and assistance, and she could not have been more helpful staying with us and advising us on the correct fit of the suit and finding a shirt and tie to go with it. With out her helpful assistance what could have been a fraught experience turned out to be a pleasant one. We can't speak highly enough of the attention we received.

Shopped at Lakeside Thurrock today and a young lady named Emma who works on Menswear went above and beyond to help with a problem. Thank you Emma Marks & Spencer could do with a lot more staff like you.

Marks and Spencer is Such a Disgrace We bought a bed from Marks and Spencer in February 2023 and now it is already July, but the experience has been a nightmare, and M&S is not what it used to be. The lead time is long, and when it was eventually delivered, it was noticed by the delivery guys that the fabric was ripped. We contacted M&S and a new bedframe was ordered. After 6 more weeks, when the replacement was delivered, the delivery guys noticed that the new bedframe was also ripped and had to be returned to the warehouse, and another new bed frame to be ordered. Six more weeks passed, and the new delivery was supposed to be yesterday, and the delivery guys called half an hour before arriving informing us they could only deliver the new bed but could not take the old damaged one away (since it was not booked by M&S). They contacted M&S to enquire about this and said they would call us back. This is when everything went silent and despite numerous tries, we could not get in contact with M&S; and the delivery guys did not even turn up. Our calls were repeatedly cut off and we were asked to find out the answers from Q&A ... Each time we had to take time off work to wait for the delivery and the amount of time it wasted is huge - not to mention the stress it caused us! Customer services filed a complaint on our behalf last time but nothing happened. There is no communication and no improvement. M&S used to be a reputable company with excellent customer services but not any more. Still don't know when we will receive our bed and have the damaged one taken away. Really disappointed, and this is probably the last time we will do any business with Marks and Spencer. Date of experience: 13 July 2023

How many companies would allow a manager to ban customers from there store’s for rewarding there staff that went above and beyond for the customer and showed they value and care about the customer unlike this Miss Claire Thomas the general manager of there flagship store how has she kept her job after promoting a normally fantastic company in this way HR show you do care and get rid of this cruel nasty person she clearly has no remorse for her very poor judgement as the previous reviews say if she couldn’t stop her staff from taking the reward she obviously had lost or had no control of her staff yet they took the rewards and still kept there jobs and the reward

What the Hell Marks and Spencers Banning customers for rewarding there staff for showing they care and value the customer unlike there managers yet it appears the top executive’s couldn’t care less close your doors and walk away if the staff didn’t take the reward you wouldn’t need to Ban the innocent shopper so so wrong

No wonder your sales have plummeted! And you are closing stores. Where have all the staff gone? Are they hiding round corners? Replacing people with machines will never work. People want people. Your decision makers sitting round their boardroom are ruining the Company. They don't live in the real world. And what awful clothes your buyers are buying. All I can say is bring back George who used to design Per Una. When George went all style and class went with him.

When i read Torquays marks and Spencers reviews it’s a store to keep out of. it obviously has serious management issues or should I say a lack of management skills to think most retailers are doing everything they can to draw customers in to there store’s yet Claire Thomas the so called general manager is Banning them for rewarding her staff for excellent customer service skills it’s unbelievable and disgusting

It has been more than a month and i am still waiting for them to refund my money and return the product. I have applied return just after receiving the product and till today dur their technical error the are mot returning the product. Horrible service and pathetic brand

I hadn't shopped at a Marks and Spencers for a few years, but received some vouchers for my birthday and decided to splurge on myself. I (quite excitedly - I rarely buy myself something new) bought 2 jumpers and 2 pairs of shoes. Long story short: both sets of shoes began falling apart within weeks of me beginning to wear them. One jumper had a hole in the seam by the 3rd wash (and more have since appeared) and the other is so bobbly, it could be 20 years old! (despite following the washing instructions). To add insult to injury - when I bought the shoes and jumpers, I tried them on (they fit - woohoo!) and then popped them away in my cupboard to wear at a later date when my older shoes and clothes gave up the ghost! This meant that I was not entitled to a refund, despite the fact that I barely got a month's use out of any of the items before they deteriorated. I've had better quality from Primark! I used to work for M&S back when it was actually a bastion for quality...it's upsetting to see how far they have fallen and to see that they get away with charging premium prices for products that shouldn't even see the shop floor.

Reading the review regarding the poison Dwarf to think Dawn runs a B&B in Torquay and she is ringing 101 with a deliberate lie just to support her girlfriend Nikki let’s hope there is a god up there and all those connected with this scum I no all this because I use to work for this company

I’m finding M&S website really irritating lately. When I look at an item I am not interested to know how many other people are looking at the same as me. Infact I don’t care and I don’t believe the information either. So m&s please stop this information from popping up and blocking the view I am getting fed up of clicking off the people viewing to see the item it is so frustrating it makes it that am no longer interested in purchase if goods because of this reason!

I feel I must warn innocent shoppers like myself I once went in to my local M&S and was waiting to go in to the food hall when this hand grab my arm from behind and this very small lady in her uniform said excuse me sir I have been meaning to say each time I see you what a very smart handsome gentleman you are I thought how kind them a week later I drove in and she was polishing the handlebars on the trolleys and saw me and gave a wave like a helicopter landing I thought what’s next she said as I went to walk in the store I no it’s cheeky but what do you do for a living I said I have some holiday let’s I rent out she said omg my husband and I moved down from Birmingham and brought a B&B she told me where it was I said you have good customer service skills she said it’s part of your training if you don’t have it you don’t get the job I said well Jill in household should go back on that course and said how rude she was to me she said you should report her I no who you mean we call her lady Spencer as she as she said this Jill came to get a trolley when she went I said that’s was awkward when I saw the lady again she said mother and daughter were giving her a hard time because she had been taking to me outside hence the chocolates which was a big mistake she turned out to be a poison Dwarf I just felt bad that I had caused her problem’s at work and I swear this is the truth unlike her lies

After reading M+S reviews in the South West of England I have to say it’s very worrying that managers and staff can treat a customer in the way they did and to send the police to there home with he said she said made up lies I am shocked the police would even act on that kind of information it’s so clear they went out of there way to make the customer look like a horrible person when in fact it actually showed them for what they are and most decent people would agree people who deliberately lie through there teeth don’t belong in the work place so let’s all hope there is someone looking down on all of those people involved with this cowardly act we don’t need nasty people like them in our world
