The problem with this company is the quality of their clothing items. Sleeves always too long etc and mens shirts seem to be made for men who never actually eat anything. Tailored? Slim fit? Weigh less than 6 stone? Then this is the company for you. Food items are ludicrously high and quality no better than anywhere else really. M&S are mostly for people who have always shopped there regardless. Like always voting labour or Tory.

Having been a customer for 60 years, would you please inform me why I can no more find the delicious small thinly sliced hovis whole meal loaves. I miss them dreadfully

Bought an armchair online, internal springs have failed and M&S customer service dreadful, the armchair will have to be inspected by an indepent body to assess their faulty goods. Even emailling M&S CEO is a waste of time. M&S should seek advice from Amazon on customer service. Dreadful customer service. Apparently it will take approx a 2 week period to recognise the goods are faulty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered 2 hampers for Christmas; both were excellent, HOWEVER COULD NOT BELIEVE M & S STILL USE POLYSTYRENE pieces for packing. Other companies have changed to brown paper and cardboard that can be recycled. This I feel is not a good company image for M &S.

M&S Gastropub range is usually first class. However not the new Beef Stroganoff which we tried this week. The beef was succulent but the sauce was disgusting, tasting strongly of vinegar. Both my husband and myself had upset stomachs the following morning. Avoid this dish!

Two of my grandchildren wanted tiger onesies for Christmas from M&S. They were on offer at 2 for £25. We live in a remote area of Wales so large stores are a long way off and I tried to order online. They had size 5/6 online but 3/4 was out of stock. So I tied in a visit to family with a diversion to the M&S store in Stoke-on-Trent where they had 3/4 but no 5/6 but I did manage to pay for two under the special offer with the larger size being posted to my address from the online dept. So far, everything was fine and the parcel arrived days before it was due. On Boxing Day the family came to visit and opened their parcels. The smaller size had a detachable tiger tail as advertised but the larger one didn't. Today, I have tried to resolve this with customer services and to get a tail sent so that both children are happy with their present. I am told that they cannot send me a tail, only a replacement 5/6 onesy and at present they are out of stock. I asked for them to reconsider and the girl who was very polite went and checked and said she is not allowed to send out part items. I pointed out that she had done so already as we had only received part of the order. The upshot is she has given me a refund for the item which I did not seek and I am going to have to find some tiger fabric and make Alf a tail for his onesy. There was a time when a company would relax rules to ensure a child was happy with their Christmas present especially when it is their error. They could have taken a tail from a different sized costume to put this right immediately. I take a dim view of the M&S response.

Bought Swiss chocolate truffle assortment and they are awful. Greasy blobs of horrid vaguely edible gloop. There were only milk or plain chocolate with the same centre so not an "assortment" and they had no flavour or texture. Yuk!

Bought a premium cost tin of salted cashew nuts "specially selected for size and quality". Tin was 2/3 full with mostly broken bits of nut. Over priced and under performing compared to budget supermarket equivalent. Very disappointed

Yes. My stepson who has asperger age 27 went to culver house store to buy a 30.00 voucher. He lost it in the store before leaving. He went back to the till to explain but to no avail. The store manager later became involved and didn't accept his honest version of what happened. I intervened. Made countless phone calls due to his innocence of not being told he needed an envelope to make sure the card wasn't lost! That store and that store manager said to me there is no discrimination! And said because of that they can do nothing. My stepson genuinely lost his 30.00 in that store. Ask yourselves, genuine customers. Would you see a young man with autism be ignored. He, Rob his name is. Phoned and phoned, met the store manager. Begged to be listened to. I later explained his asperger as well and that man, the store manager said. No we don't discriminate. Well actually they do. You imagine that happening to your family. I used to rate marks and spencer as trusting their customers but after I was told by the right now store manager that he has to just take what I said and does not discriminate! What do you all tell that young man with aspergers that was trying to buy his dad a present for Christmas. Well done marks and Spencer with your no quibble guarantee. Please support customers who are not scam artists.

A review of the M&S Woodland Yule Log. This was the most amazing chocolate log that I have ever eaten. It looked beautiful. It tasted wonderful. It is a shame that they don’t make them all year round. We also love their normal chocolate logs (the only ones that can be frozen!) so you can enjoy them in January too! The chocolate millionaire pies were also an exciting addition for those who don’t like mince pies.

We bought a Buck Fizz Christmas pudding and was not easy cut, it was full of large fruit and not like a normal Christmas pudding. I will not buy Mark's and Spencer again.

Purchased Christmas Eve 4 prawn & cucumber mousse starters - shocking - reduced from £6 to £4.06 - really terrible - the plastic "shot size" plastic glasses had 1 prawn per item - with a horrible dill based sauce and M&S actually put the glasses on a cardboard and plastic plinth to make them look bigger. The Roasting Potatoes in Goose fat and butter did not brown - did not cook and were inedible - for M&S to produce this type of food with the charges they charge is ridiculous - ruined our Christmas meal - a starter inedible and a main with roast potatoes being a great favorite - put in a claim for a refund - terrible - alright for them to give me the money back but nothing replaces the embarrassment and disappointment of firstly being overcharged and secondly whoever M&S quality control person for these items being passed for value need to rethink the whole process

Odered Christmas hamper for delivery Saturday 21 December. No delivery. Customer service first said it had been delayed and would be delivered Mondy 23rd. No delivery. Customer service then said it had been returned to the depot, then it was out of stock, then offered to re-deliver. Basically, they had no idea what had happened or where the hamper was. I obtained a refund. That was given promptly enough with the message: hope to see you again soon. No apology though for their lousy service. No, you won't be seeing me again. In addition, my complaint on their online review board was refused as it did not fit their review guidelines i.e we only print good/great reviews.

Have just finished (the edible part) our christmas dinner of beef and marrowbone pie, honey dressed parsnips, carrots with clementine, sprouts with chest nuts, roast potatoes and beef gravy. Based on what we have just eaten we will not be shopping for specialty food from M&S ever again. The pie consisted of over thick pastry which did not fully cook through (even though it was cooked as per instructions). When the pie was cut open it was just full of runny brown liquid, hardly any meat. The parsnips tasted awful, not sure what the flavour was meant to be. Carrots were OK but no better than that. Sprouts were nothing special, would have been better off with a 19p bag of sprouts. Roast potatoes were OK. The ultimate beef gravy was very vinegary, would have preferred Bisto gravy granules. All in all an extremely expensive and very disappointing christmas dinner 1 out of 10 I’m afraid. Now worried as we have ordered food for New Years Eve, hoping we can cancel it and give Aldi a try.

Bought a pair of black jeggings on Christmas eve from the store in Macclesfield cheshire while visiting family . I happily tore the labels off to wear them as i already have 9 pairs in different colour and no problems ,but on Christmas day I was very disappointed with the quality they have been badly sewn and are very very puckered and terrible looking.I paid by contact less card and as there has never been a previous problem I never collected the recept. ...I won't make the same mistake again ..but won't be buying jeggings from M&S.again .I live in Morecambe and we don't have a store there ..

Very disappointed having visited my local Simply Food store in Spalding this morning (Christmas Eve). The date on all sliced white and brown bread was 25th December (despite looking towards the back of the shelf for a longer date) and dates on all chilled Yule Logs were 26th December. I appreciate the chocolate Yule logs contain fresh cream but surely they could have a longer use by date than 2 days! I also wanted a profiterole stack for Boxing Day but the dates on those were 25th December and very few left on the shelf, which makes me think they were all yesterday’s stock. This is not a one off experience as I have noticed very short dates on a lot of M&S food items just lately. Even Colin The Caterpillar Christmas Cake was no longer available to order. I couldn’t obtain any Snow Globe gin either, despite visiting several stores in my area to keep checking if any new stock had come in.

Ordered a nightgown as a present on 29th Dec with delivery scheduled for 23rd. Went to store but not arrived. Was assured it would be here 24th Dec. Chased for update today and told that it would not be arriving until 27th as damaged by the carrier. Standard answer I guess. How can a night gown be damaged by the carrier? Need to come up with something more convincing. Not good enough! That makes it ok then!!! Very poor service. Was a present for my mum and it is now Xmas Eve. Need to do better M&S to keep up with competition particularly with a business that is clearly in decline. Plenty out there who will do better.
