“Not too happy! I'm nearly 60 but found most clothes to be old fashioned and some designs and fabrics dated with strange colour mix which are stereotype M&S. Shorts for the summer are more like cut down trousers 'smart style' and little option on the preferred more relaxed cargo style. Sometimes customers want to buy plan styles but good quality polo shirts or other well made garments, rather than an array of multi colour garish items that look as if they are from M&S!”

“After going into Altrincham ladies department store today to look for clothing I could hardly believe my eyes. The clothes were quite frankly awful! The store was very quiet and I am not surprised why. Please for goodness sake raise your game & review what is on offer and quickly.”

“Bought twoalmond chocolate ice cream lollies £1 each they didn't seem to be up to M and S standard chocolate all broken . Poor quality ice cream.”

“Strange that M&S don't accept honest reviews what is the point in asking if they only want the good news. Ordered small loft table and chairs states 10 mins to assemble, I am 70 years of age live alone and thought it sounded that it was within my strength and skills - arrived super quick but was surprised at the size of the package containing the two chairs. Very true assembled in stated time but has taken me hours to separate cardboard and polystyrene for recycling and will also require a seven mile drive to the tip to get rid of the package mountain.”

“Looking for a new dishwasher went on their website and was somewhat disappointed with very minimal info re secification of the chosen dishwasher. Tried to ask the assistant about other features and accessories of the machine but she just replied that they only guarantee whats listed (saying this is info they get from manufacture - strange how some other sellers can give complete spec lists! and M&S can´t). A supervisor who I spoke to after that would not confirm that the model they supply will have exact spec and extras as listed by Bosch in their tech spec. They told me to go to Bosch to ask for full spec so I did but they would not confirm that what they supply will have what the manufacturer states it should have. If there is anything missing they will not accept that the dishwasher isn´t as described - unbelievable!!! Just lost themselves a customer as they seem to be ignorant and did not appear to care if customer goes elsewhere (my neighbor is looking for a cooker - will not buy now from them either).
