Good yarn and friendly quick response to query email. Shame about poor communication of dispatch date due to low stock levels (wool arrived week after i had dispacth email but was only actually dispatched a day before arrival). Overall though good service- would buy again!

The wool is great value, but the delivery is variable. Sometimes I get it within 5 days, but my latest order has taken over 10 days. I run classes and order the wool in advance for projects, but I have had to dash out to other places to buy wool as my wool has not arrived in time. I now order 14 days in advance so fingers crossed that is more reliable. I would pay more for delivery if I could receive a guaranteed date.

unfortunately I had hoped to use this yarn on my knitting machine but I had to use a larger tension than usual which in turn messed up the size of the garment.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. All of our yarns are on constant order from our suppliers. The out of stock yarns will be back in stock, however, we don't have an exact estimate for delivery currently. I found the 4pl coned yarns a wee bit 'stringy' but the colours were vibrant, not many knots in the yarn and it knitted easily on the machine.

Buying yarn always makes me happy! Would have had a higher review if I had been advised sooner of the stock issues, especially as I had been advised that my order had been dispatched. Parcel has arrived today, two weeks after placing the initial order. That said, it could well have been down to the weather as I have never had a problem with my Marriner's order before (although this is the first time I have ordered direct and not through amazon.

The recent snow left us with a huge amount of back orders which slowed down our dispatch/delivery time which we were really frustrated with. Great prices, like the wool. Would like to see some more softer shades too and 4ply. Love free delivery....however.. Very disappointed at the length of time from order to delivery. I ordered in good time for a workshop I was attending on 10th March. This order did not arrive until 12th, so had to buy my requirements all over again, and now consequently have a surplus order. Surprised to see it arrive in a huge box too. Would it not be cheaper and easier on the environment to vacuum pack it? Also it would then go through most letterboxes too. Seems an expensive waste of resources for you to pack like this.

The couriers are still experiencing a back log due to the recent snow and have been doing their best to get parcels out to customers as quickly as possible as I can confirm that your order left us on the 6/3. The way that we pack and dispatch goods all depends on the weight/size of the order and in line with the couriers guidelines - a box sometimes is our only option. I hope I have been of some help. Hi. Due to the recent snow our business was closed between the 1st and 5th of March which lead to a delay on orders due to a large backlog we had to work through. Royal Mail and our couriers also reported they were delayed for the same reason. I do apologise for the delivery time but, unfortunately, the situation was unavoidable. - Gareth, Marriner Yarns

I have been buying baban yarn for quite some time now & was a little disappointed this time. Two of the colours, pink & blue, are not the same as I usually receive & are much paler than the online images. Maybe a disclosure could be added to say that the colours are not the same as in previous batches.

I bought chunky yarn and on using it I found in one ball it had been joined and in another the yarn itself was not as "thick" as in the rest of the ball. But I have only used two balls! So I am a bit concerned with the quality of your yarns. As yet I have yet to use your double knitting I also order

I have just used my 2nd ball. About 3/4 into the yarn to my horror the yarn was all tangled. It took me quite a while to unravel it. Plus the yarn felt different, a bit softer and thicker. I thought it was a one off when this happened with my first ball. I am knitting a long cardigan for my daughter. I have been knitting for over 60 years and this has never happened before.

Firstly you should also have an option for me to tell you what doesn't make me happy - how do you propose to improve if you only ask for the good? I don't like the fact that sometimes balls have small knots in there where one yarn has ended and you've tied another on to make the ball - it ruins good work! I also don't like the fact that you offer only a knitting pattern, I don't knit I crochet but you don't offer a choice. I do like the colour range, the pricing, good delivery times.

Marriner yarns are very reasonably priced and attractive, but the double knitting works at a smaller tension than other double knit yarns. This can be a nuisance if you want to do your favourite pattern and you can't because it doesn't work.

Quick delivery and postage reasonable. However ordered mustard coloured wool and when it arrived I was disappointed to find it was more yellow than mustard
