45885336 order no 16/8/21 2.04am Phoned at 10.10 am 16/8/21 to request a change in size I was told it’s not possible so cancelled order Waited 48 hours and phoned on 18 th at 10.55 am but was told that it will be dispatched soon but there is a delay Informed them that it was already cancelled on Monday They said they will cancel again They have asked to wait for another 48 hrs for refund No cancellation email yet Very Poor service Costumer care staff sounds as if they were asleep No wonder in the delays Disappointed

Terrible, why on earth have would you think that self service tills are the way forward? I certainly won’t be shopping at matalan again simply due to this reason and I’m not the only one, for goodness sake bring back your sales cashiers and stop trying to cut costs, people need jobs now more than ever!

I would award 0 stars if I could . I ordered 2 separate orders and paid for next day delivery 5 day later still no order . I spoke to a man from customer service that really couldn’t be bothered and he insisted that Hermes had delivered my items. More or less making out I was lying about not receiving the clothes I had ordered. It’s a shame as I was a good customer and I will now never order on line from matalan again . Now just waiting to see if I get my refund . Not a happy customer!

Went to Matalan Yeovil for the first time. Never again!!! Woman at checkout was really rude and patronising and the customer she was serving made a racist comment about me to her. Bearing in mind the type of person she was I decided to ignore it as you never know when knives might come out. I'm sticking with normal shops with normal, polite staff.

What ever has happened to Matalan. Email will respond in 72 hours.Never happens Matalan says they will look into it. Never happens If they just told you they couldn’t care less, which is obvious the case you could at least stop trying to get your refund and get on with you life Questions irrelevant because don’t give option of NEVER

I spent over £200 online hoping I’d find a nice new outfit to wear on a first date. When the parcel arrived everything had security tags still attached. I don’t live near a Matalan store so I decided to return the clothes. However, the don’t offer free returns and I had to pay £17 for return shipping!!! I spoke to Matalan about this and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Then my tracking said it was delivered months ago but they have never refunded me. Poor poor service, absolute sham

Returned goods to Matalan. Refund £12 short. Emails do not get answered. Not resolved with phone call. Will avoid in future. Stay clear . Questions that follow review should have the option of NEVER

Had a missing item, didnt recieve item after complaint, they no longer reply to my messages and i didnt get a refund, i wonder how many other customers they've STOLEN from! I'm frankly disgusted by the customer service and genuinely thought better of Matalan, not any more!

I've been dealing with refund about 5 months now since March I keep calling them everytime it's we are dealing with the matter it's has escalated it's been 5months impossible to resolve the matter it's like rip off

It’s a shame I won’t be shopping at Matalans again as I know and like what I’m going to get. I will of course reconsider if you bring back real people at the checkouts.

Went to return sale goods and yes under different circumstances I would have accepted a credit note, but last week when I purchased these items the fitting room was closed. I challenged the stroppy sales assistant who called an even stroppier Manager who was adamant the notices were all round the store about the refund policies well I didn’t see them last week. Won’t be going back to that store for sure!

The worst customer service I've ever had. I ordered some stuff online, I've got half of them and I called them 3 times to get the refund. Every time they were saying it would be processed and it wasn't. Then after the first call, I put a second order with the missing items, and I got 2 of the 3. I called 3 times for the refund, but I still haven't received it. It's the first time that I am trying so hard to get a refund and especially for items that they didn't send.

Well , as if you don’t know what people think about self service tills , I spent £150 in your Southport store ,, never again . Most of it is going back tomorrow , four items have tags on , a sales asst would have spotted this straight away ! It was the most stressful shopping experience I have ever had , and after forty years in retail I thought I’d seen it all ??!! I had to call the assistant over five times , no bar codes, wrong prices , etc etc , I had about thirty different items and it took thirty minutes to put through because I had to keep pressing the help button ,, then no carrier bags , then security tags on dresses when I got home ,,beyond fuming ,, Went into marks and Spencer’s and primark to finish my shopping and it was bliss ,,,in a pandemic when we are encouraged not to use cash , you’ve done the opposite ,, good job Matalan ,, said no one ever !

Never in my shopping experiences at Matalan have I recieved customer service like this from the Kingswood store Hull , well it was none existing!! , greeted with have you got a return , no eye contact , smile or anything, the assistant looked so miserable and obviously didn't want to be there, no conversation as we exchanged items ,no thank you , goodbye or anything , clearly training in customer service needed here , so disappointed , she has let her store down , our other visits have been a really lovely experience ,

Took me months to get a refund for items I’d returned to the store, had to use resolver now they are spamming me everyday! Use Matalan online with external caution.

Could I start by saying I hate self scanning machines. So very annoyed that Matalan have turned all their tills to self scanning machines. I was treated very badly by two members of your Corby branch today. I was told that I couldn't use the only till with a person on it because they don't take cards on that machine. On that occasion I was eventually served by a lovely lady. Today I was treated very badly by a young girl who talked at me and would not listen to me. She stomped off wouldn't give me her name. Another member of staff came over and said to me that she would ask me to leave if I abused her staff. I can assure you that I have two daughters of similar ages to the two shop assistant that I dealt with today and wouldn't want my daughter's to be abused by a customer. You lost a sale of over £150 in your Corby branch today. I would be more than happy for you to review the CCTV footage of my encounter today. Come on Matalan bring back manned tills and do some customer service training.

In Your Boucher Road Store today the Till operator told me that I had to use The Self Check out Till’s ! if I wasn’t paying with cash ! she said her till didn’t take cards ! despite having a card reader clearly placed at the front of her till! I realise that the till operator was only following orders . I told her that I preferred to be served by a person not to mention the hygiene risks in the current Covid times as these tills are not sanitised / cleaned after each use ! So I left my carefully chosen items on the counter , what a waste of MY time it is A Mistake that I will not be repeating ! Are YOU listening to Your customers MATALAN !!!!! I would also Choose Zero Stars if it were available !!!!!
