“I wanted a vintage style automatic watch with leather band, and preferably Australian made. After reviewing several Australian watch companies, Melbourne watches seemed best,so I ordered a Portsea model with white ceramic face, and it was promptly delivered. Am very satisfied with the quality, finish and operation. I will shortly be ordering a Chelsea model as a work watch for the farm after my previous watch gave up after 10 years. I need a watch that can withstand welding, water and dirt and general abuse, so it will be a good test. I highly recommend Melbourne watches”

“I recently purchased a Melbourne Watch Company Burnley with a black dial. It is quite simply superb. I was really attracted to the integrated bracelet, which was clearly inspired by other iconic designs, so I decided to give the brand a try. I also wanted to support a local company. It has now become one of my favourite watches. I was surprised by the quality of the watch. The build is excellent and feels like a watch that's a few grades higher. The Miyota watch movement used has even been giving me an average of -2.6 s/d! The materials used also feels luxurious, quite unexpected based on the price. The only negative I can find is with the sapphire crystal. The coating used on it seems to have a slight blue sheen. It would complement a blue dial but detracts from the beauty of the black dial a little. Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with the Burnley. I'm definitely going to be following the company to see what they release in the future.”

“A very nice looking watch. The instructions did not say how to or how often to wind this automatic watch. Or more precisely if the wounding mechanism stops when fully wound. Apparently need 20 to 30 winds every 2 weeks. The mechanism does not stop on winding. This was conveyed to me by the help desk after enquiring via email.”
