I cancel direct debit for onecall insurance because the renewed my policy without my concent and doubled my premium.i phoned Metrobank and they assured me know payment would be made to them and I diyneed to change my bank card.2months later onecall took £83,from my account it's impossible to contact the insurance company by phone and there's no way to contact them I've told the bank so many times and they ask me for proof of my cancellation even though I never renewed.my policy the worst customer service ever they was told not to pay them but they did

Very poor service at the Epsom Branch. Two staff members attending to one customer. This took place twice and when I later checked they had no staff to be trained amongst them. So this mean they all were fully trained staff. I was there for over 2 hours to access my safe deposit box. Disgusting to watch.

My card was blocked without any notice! I can't pay for anything today!!! No explanations!! I am now in Europe with no access to my card + no access to my phone number, to calling metro bank support for help unfortunately they are not able to help, I feel like they are not qualified for help! Super unhappy with customer service outside UK 🇬🇧

Poor system when it comes to buying a load. Even now I wasn't able to receive it yet It's ony small amount however delays might affect your customer's time and you should also hire 24/7 chat support . Customer will not waste their time to just give you a call.

IT SO HARD TO WITHDRAW MONEY!!! VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, I NEVER HAD THIS EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE BEFORE FROM ANY BANK! THEY MOBILE APP IS WORST AND ONLINE WEBSITE BANK IS WORST! WORST BANK EVER!!!!

My card and account was blocked without any notice! I can't pay for anything today!!! No explanations!! They just said that security team will call me. I asked when, they said that they DONT KNOW!!!!!!!!! So sitting and waiting for their call! Awful service.

The WORSE bank ever!!! Online service is TERRIBLE!!! Always getting trouble registering or logging in. Very slow service, inefficient and uneffective!! For me, the worse bank ever!!!

Worst bank, has a garbage customer service...the branch officer here in ortigas avenue branch has no courtesy amd asked me to print the needed requirements and worse theh close at 4 and i have to wait for my e ployers bank approval, wont let me open an account...nothing like bdo and bpi...worst bank that i have transacted

Terrible service, daughter had a suspicious transaction on her account and wasn't contacted, they instead blocked the card and made released the monies 2 days later!!! When I contacted them they admitted it was a suspicious transaction but couldn't explain why they still paid it and wouldn't issue a refund

BEWARE. THEY DO NOT LET YOU WITHDRAW YOUR MONEY! I understand this bank does not have branches in all cities. This bank is not accepted at local post offices either. So you have to go to pay to use ATMs or go into town. As a disabled person these limited ways of withdrawing cash were causing issues as I wanted more than the maximum daily limit (£300) in one go. So I called the customer service line and received the all clear for a “large” cash withdrawal - I do not class £1000 as a large withdrawal. However, I had to withdraw the money in 5-10 minutes. I told the representative I was not near a bank that day. I was told to call back when I was outside the bank/ATM and wanted to withdraw the money. Two days later I did just that. The first representative had me explain the situation. I was then passed to her colleague. Where no information was passed on and I had to repeat myself. I was told it would be a two minute call. 30 minutes later I still have the extremely unhelpful representative asking me to hold and asking for a second time why I want to make “such a large withdrawal”. I was stood in the bank, not good for my disability after several failed spinal fusions and a chronic pain sufferer. The representative was not in any way empathetic to the fact I had special assistance on my file. He did not increase my withdrawal limit. He would not put me onto a manager. Absolutely livid I drove home, frozen food thawing due to the amount of time spent on the phone to metro at a bank where I could withdraw the monies securely. I called “customer service” again - I use this term loosely for this “bank”. I request to speak to a manager. After 20 minutes I’m told I can speak to a supervisor not a manager. I said that I wanted to speak to a manager to make a formal complaint about staff withholding MY money. So I then ask to close my account. I’m then asked “why”… Seriously? - they can see my notes and brief exchanges with the current advisor. I’m then told the current advisor cannot do this, I’d have to be put through to a different department. Whilst on the phone to this authoritarian money withholding pathetic excuse of a bank I’m on my laptop opening a new account. I find they can switch my account and will pay me to do so. So I put the phone down whilst holding for the closure department and do a switch online - with a real bank that lets me have a daily limit of £1000 if I want it, no 5-10 minute window to get my cash and single use. My message to everyone about this institution is to avoid them. Your money is not safe here. The fact they don’t want you to withdraw cash proves that. TO METRO - IT IS MY MONEY IF I WANT TO WITHDRAW IT AND SET IT FIRE THAT IS MY BUSINESS NOT YOURS. HOW DARE YOU! DISGUSTING!

Metro transferred over £3000 out of my account to a holiday company despite telling me the payment was unsuccessful. Because I was told it had not gone through, I then spoke with the holiday company direct, booked and paid for the holiday over the phone. This payment went through. What I did not realise until a week later was that the original payment did go through. I have been left £3000 out of pocket and told I have to wait for The holiday company to send the money back. Madness. I error was made by Metro, so they should refund me and then get the money back from the Holiday company. It is a disgrace. Their error and I am the one out of pocket. Metro have messed up.

MetroBank Banawe has one of the worst service, went in at 2:45 to pay a bill, current number they were serving at that time was 80, had to wait 45 minutes just for 5 numbers !!!(my number was 85) the branch currently has 3 tellers and it takes what? 15-30 for 1 transaction per teller?!!! staff are busy talking to each other

Garbage service. Ask you were you got your money, why you want it, and cant use it at Atm or to order goods online. they keep asking questions and seem to think I speak Chinese or something or else they are brain dead. takes far too long to get answers. meantime if your hungry and need money for food tough luck. They make you feel like you stole the money or a a scammer. Likely a scammer would have no problem as only the legitimate card holder seems to have issues. Sick and tired of this bank already. card is nothing but trouble one way or another. Sorry I ever went to their bank. I only left Santander as money was being taken out of my account and they refused to stop the payments and effectively they allowed me to get ripped off. A bank that wont stop someone nicking your money is no good to anybody. With Metro it seems that the gedtapo grill you when you put money in or take it out and they stop your card for no reason and then take ages to tell you why the card is useless . To say I am angry is an understatement. Avoid this bank like the plague.

Used ATM at Dumaguete Paseo Perdices location twice on March 25, 2023. First withdrawal was fine, an hour later I tried to make a 2nd withdrawal and machine started making that flipping noise when they’re out of mine. Screen then said withdrawal amount would be adjusted, but then it spit my card out and went back into the “Ready for next customer mode” with flashing green light. I stood there for several minutes, but assumed there was no money in machine and walked off to side due to long line behind me. I observed the next customer put their card in and start inputting their code and then their transaction seemed normal. I assumed my transaction had been voided but that night when I checked my account I saw that a second debit of 10,000 pesos had been made. I called my bank and filed a complaint but two weeks later they emailed me that Metro Bank claimed that the funds had been disbursed. They had not been! At least to me, the customer who stood there for 5 minutes waiting for my cash to come out. I’ve since found several reviews from other foreign customers stating that they too didn’t receive their funds but did get debited for the transaction. I am still pursuing the process of receiving my funds or having the debit reversed. When I went to Metro Bank in Dumaguete they gave me a laundry list of things I needed to do to file a claim. I am currently doing that, though with little hope of success. My advice is NEVER USE A METRO BANK ATM!!!!

The worst customer service ever. People are very unprofessional. I have experienced way too much inconvenience. I have problems with my online banking transactions way before same issues all the time just because their system is flopped they have to transfer me all the time. I regret opening an account with them.
