“š Grateful Beyond Words š
There are experiences that simply leave a lasting mark ā my time working with Michael Andrew is one of them. After struggling for weeks, I finally found someone who truly listened, cared, and delivered. Michael was patient, professional, and incredibly understanding. He kept me updated, gave honest guidance, and never made me feel rushed or overlooked. š· The outcome was fantastic, but itās his sincerity and warmth that Iāll remember most. Thank you, Michael, for turning frustration into relief, and uncertainty into peace. Youāve earned my highest recommendation and lifelong gratitude. š”
“Update:
Following the previous review a senior team leader said she was personally reviewing my file and would update me, that was 4 weeks ago!!
Not heard a thing from āRosemaryā since, so I guess itās not just the call takers who are the core of the problem with Minster Law, itās all the way to the top!
Guess I will have to go through to the SRA to get them to step in!
Avoid Minster Law either directly or if your insurance company refers them, they are incapable of fulfilling any obligations and promises!
Original review:
Absolutely useless, following an accident in late 2022 I was passed to Minster Law by my previous insurers, what a mistake that was.
Everything is done at a snails pace if at all!
With confirmed injury to my neck, arm and hand from the accident, they tried to persuade me to go with a whiplash injury settlement, telling me it would take longer to pursue to injury claim!
Of course I was going to pursue the claim as more than a whiplash injury, because it was clear from my pain and medical and physiotherapists it was much more significant.
In February this year the āindependent specialistā noted in his follow on report that I needed a part 35 report doing, to which I agreed and send clearance to use all my medical records for the purpose in early March!
Since then nothing has been done! Until I pushed and pushed in a weekly call to them, now I find that they only filed for this in August!!
Now I am told that as it is nearly 3 years they need to file for an extension, one handler saying itās filed with the 3rd party, another says it the courts! Do they even know what they are doing???
I have asked for the last 12 calls for a call back from management, but still no calls!
Still no part 35 report, although it appears that the handlers donāt understand what one even is! Often referring to it as a part 45 and telling me they are waiting for approval for an MRI scan.
Oh by the way, still no call from management, but then I was told a few calls ago that there has been no management in the office for 4 weeks around that particular call, which I find hard to believe.
I just need answers and for them to do what they are being paid to do! It no one their either knows what they are doing, knows how to tell the truth l, knows how to make a call back or knows how to do the job!
Itās been a farce from start to this point, with no sign of finish!
If you are lead to minster law by any route, say no thankyou! Find a different company to represent and claim for you, because Minster Law are demonstrating that canāt or wonāt fulfill their promises and obligations.
Letās see if I get a call from management now?!!??”
“I have to say Paige Wilson Wood is a credit to the Company. When the procedure was dragging on frustration crept in, I contacted her and she was outstanding.
She listened to my concerns, was understanding and sympathetic. She resolved any outstanding (and future) issues promptly and efficiently.
Regular emails kept me in touch with the process. Her telephone manner was first class, pleasant and professional. Needless to say the communication was extremely reassuring.
The matter is now resolved and monies have now been paid into my account. I trust the Company realise what a valuable employee and asset they have, she is extremely employable.
Thank You Paige for your excellent service, it was greatly appreciated.”
“I have never known anything like this before I have been waiting for my claim to be resolved now for almost 2yrs !!!.. wouldn't mind but the other driver admitted liability within days of the accident”
“I had a positive experience with Minster Law Ltd.
Kingfisher House, Peel Avenue, Wakefield, WF2 7UA.
They dealt with a claim against a major European motorcycle manufacturer and its authorised dealer in the UK. This successful claim was the result of a catastrophic mechanical failure, resulting in a serious injury road traffic crash.
Communication was always excellent and advice clear.
Thank you Alex McBride and William Lee”
“Absolutely shocking service and would advise anyone to stay clear of this firm, had no correspondence unless I chased them, lost signed documents and informing me that a loss of earnings would now not be taken into consideration after receiving all information regarding this nearly 3 years ago and is still on going.”
“Minster Law should be struck off .
If you are unhappy with Minster Law as I am report them to the
Solicitors Regulations Authority 0370 606 2555 the legal ombudsman is very limited in helping .
The reviews on Trust Pilot donāt seem to be accurate but on this site they do.
Sadly & I mean very Sadly I have to give them ML a rating to put this review up .”
“2021 my accident was and over 3 years later nothing is resolved I refused a medical report as I wasn't happy with what was written and was told if I refuse it I would have to pay Ā£2500 for a new report which I had no choice to agree too I've had around 5 case handlers its been a long long process and your made to feel more of an inconvenience than a client”
“I've had a personal injury claim with minster law since November 2023 due to a car accident.Nine months on I am still waiting for the claim to be settled. I was offered a settlement figure which now needs to be confirmed and settled
Ive rung and emailed minster law several times for updates on my claim. I am being constantly ignored by them and have said that If I do not receive an update I will go to another company.
Their customer service is shocking and I would advise anyone to avoid this company”
“I had a car accident almost two years ago and was promised all the help ext I needed I had my medical then all I did was ring check no updates from these promised call backs nothing then they sent me for a orthopedic medical which was a waste of time felt like a set up I also got offered 850 pound pay out I said no an was told that first refusal is usual in the mean time constantly battling with them for updates nothing also they said to check ink for updates told me to put my loss of earning sick notes ext on I did an they lost them for me to loose 1400 pound they couldn't even access my medical records from the hospital properly again having to give them constant instructions no one person was allocated to me it was a thousand an one not knowing what one said to the other then after all this I walked away being robbed an given 371 pound these people are a waste of space this money does not cover the amount I lost from work or the phone calls I made I would never touch or use these again or would I recommend these incompetent staff non helping supposedly legal team to any one I'm glad it's all over for me not to deal with any more but I lossed more than I gained with these joke of a firm”
“Stay away
Stay away
Stay away
This company is unprofessional
Untrained uneducated
They have dodgy medical doctors who I will be exposing
Staff that will ring you and try scaring you
And don't even help you but try to accuse you
The stress they have caused me beyond a joke unreal”
“Do not allow Minster law to represent you under any circumstance.
After car accident in July 2022, in which the other party admitted 100% liability I was put on to Minster Law by my insurance company.
It is now February 2024 and I have still not received any compensation for my injuries. In fact, they donāt even communicate or respond to emails, so I have no idea where we even are with my case!
I received a phone call from them back in November last year, in which the person I spoke to admitted that there were serious problems within the company, but couldnāt go in to details over the phone. They agreed with my complaints and apologised and also admitted that my file has just been sat in a tray for the last year and nobody has even picked it up to look at it.
He said they would now be working on it and will contact the other drivers insurance company and they have five days to respond, so he promised I would be contacted again in a few days with an update. That was three months ago now and Iāve not heard a word from them!
Also, that was the only contact Iād received from them since December 2022!
I have had to now involve the Legal Ombudsman to try and resolve this matter.
I repeat, avoid Minster Law at all costs!
Read the other reviews yourselves, I only wish I had before allowing them to represent me.”
“Inept, unprofessional, and on occasion downright rude.
Case Ref: 62024A
I was involved in a RTA in September 2022, my claim was passed to Minster Law as part of my RAC insurance legal cover. The third party was found 100% at fault. Theyād driven into the back of my car while I was stationary. The ambulance chasing, conveyor belt legal system began its process, I was approved for physiotherapy had a medical etc. I submitted my losses through Minster Lawās āINKā Web Portal. Heard very little for months, as was expected.
I took some time off work between October and December 2022 due to being in pain and not being able to work a full day every day, but as I couldnāt afford to not be paid, and as I own my own micro company, I took this time as paid holiday that I was owed instead. Submitting a loss sheet at the end of each month to Minster Law, these obviously werenāt being reviewed as in February 2023 three-five months later I was told that because Iād taken the time as holiday (that I would not be getting back) I couldnāt be reimbursed.
In July 2023, 10 months after the incident, Minster Law contacted me with a schedule of losses. It was entirely incorrect, and theyād missed out all the deductible expenses that they would recover for physioā etc. Theyād also missed out the veterinary fees Iād submitted for my dog, who subsequently died from injuries sustained in the accident, I was told that I could not claim these as they should be covered by my pet insurance, I pointed out that as I donāt have pet insurance this constitutes an uninsured loss, which is exactly what Minster Law are supposed to be recovering on my behalf. They submitted a revised schedule, which was again incorrect, claiming that Iād had Ā£200 worth of physio ā when Iād actually had Ā£600 of treatment. By the third schedule they returned to me they were claiming Ā£760 for physio and some made up travel costs. I was given an estimated min/max valuation on what I could expect to receive by way of settlement, that was frankly a joke, Iām Ā£5k out of pocket, and Minster law expected to recover at most Ā£1,923.
I signed a form that meant that Minster Law could not settle my claim without my consent, and saying that I would be kept informed at every step of negotiations.
On 06/11/2023 I received a text message from Minster Law confirming that they had settled my claim, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, at just over £1,400, despite the fact that I had rejected the third parties first two offers both of which were under £1,200, and made it clear to Minster Law that there was a minimum value that I would settle at, or I would like to proceed to court.
When I rang Minster Lawās customer service team, I was āsludgedā as usual being passed from rep to rep, left on hold etc. Eventually I spoke with a lady who kept telling me that I had agreed to the settlement, otherwise it couldnāt have been processed, she even suggested that if I was unhappy, I had a right to seek independent legal advice elsewhere. I asked to be put through to the complaints team, and was told this wasnāt possible, my complaint would be noted on file, and somebody would get back to me within 48hrs. I then received an email telling me that I had to submit my complaint in writing via email.
Shambolic representation and negotiation skills, appalling customer service.
Frankly, Minster Law would struggle to negotiate their way out of a well-lit cul-de-sac.”
“Donāt ever use this company. They wait for children to turn 18 to do the claim and take a big chunk of it. Plus poor service where I have repeatedly been asked to send documents and no progress of case. Plus every time a different staff member takes it on. Itās like chasing a ghost company! Ridiculous and frustrating it has still not been resolved a straight forward accident where people has accepted his fault. Wish I never dealt with this company, not worth the time prolonged not the rudeness of them.”
“Pretty good service!
The app they have doesn't update you that well but if you call or email Minster will give you updates. Very happy with the outcome and everything was quite speedy. My contact Mandy managed to get a 50/50 outcome in a quite difficult case because both parties denied fault and blamed the other!”
“Absolute joke company. They were recommended by our insurance company, which is shocking as Minster Law is beyond terrible.
Takes at least 40mins to get through and then the person on the phone either apologies and says they don't know why it hasn't been done or that the person I spoke to previously has done it wrong.
It's the last thing you need after a crash.
They don't return calls or emails, in fact there's no contact at all unless I've phoned them.
AVOID THIS COMPANY they're a joke!”
