“Other one star reviewers seem unable to read based off their comments. Misfits Market is very clear during account creation that it is a subscription based service that auto ships at the end of the week. You can always unsubscribe from this model. Now to my actual thoughts: The idea is wonderful to cut down on food waste, I signed up mostly just to price check and was a bit disappointed. The prices are mostly the same if not more then what I could buy from my local grocer of the exact same item. For a company claiming to sell "food waste" or unwanted merchandise I was expecting a significant price decrease. Also after doing some research it seems only some of their food falls into this category of "misshapen produce or unwanted food". They still have a supplier they supplement with other goods, essentially just turning it into another less efficient grocery store. I have not ordered anything yet and perhaps I won't.”

“Food arrives warm, broke. Ice packs all through the food. Box soaked and leaking! Total mess. I got better produce locally, that's cheaper. No thanks! The whole operation is a misfit!!”

“Damaged deliveries over and over again. Two day late delivery--still waiting for my Tuesday delivery and it is Thursday late afternoon. They don't offer better prices and the produce is usually half rotten. No contact information--all correspondence via email which they don't respond to. Going to Thrive Market.”

“The delivery driver didn't deliver to our apartment door as they advertised they do, and our package was stolen. It was delivered to a main floor, big open area. The company did a -one time- reimbursement, but now won't deliver to our address, and wants us to pick it up from them somewhere else.”

“This company is a scam. I was charged $70 for an order i never placed. Half the stuff that is being shipped im allergic to. I will be contacting my attorney. I don't even know how they got my information.”

“DON'T SIGN UP OR CREATE AN ACCOUNT!!!!! They have no plan selection options/page. I thought I was signing up at no charge, per their website marketing, and got placed, without my consent, into a weekly shipment plan and charged $89. There's no option to remove your card information, and there is no way to contact customer service beyond filling out a form. I canceled my account, but I don't know if that's actually going to stop anything else from happening. I'm going to have to notify my bank not to accept further charges from them. I'm also going to report them to every regulatory agency I can. This is blatant stealing and false advertising. I only gave them an extra star because they refunded me the money they took.”

“After reading other reviews, it sounds like they are talking about a completely different company than what I have experienced. I have found them to be professional, quick to respond to resolve any issues, and they even apologize when a mistake has been made. Because it is food that isn’t perfect, you do have to do a bit of experimenting on what to order. I have learned to stay away from the steaks for the most part but their burger, pork and chicken is excellent. Lettuce is typically not a good choice, but they have a lot of produce that is wonderful. And, their nuts, snacks, cereal and bakery items are all great. If you get an item that is bruised or not edible, your account is immediately refunded. I am also very happy to be purchasing food that would have otherwise gone to waste. Our country is the most food wasting country on earth so I love the concept and am willing to receive an occasional bruised pear or whatever in order to get all the totally edible and tasty food they do ship.”

“NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE UNTIL I GET CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD. NEVER ORDERED FROM THEM. IT IS A SCAM BUSINESS. HAD TO CONTACT FRAUD DEPARTMENT.”
