“Very similar experience to a number of people posting on here. Ordered a new SSD and RAM for my laptop in mid April. Only the SSD arrived after 10 days, no explanation from Moby. They replied to one email to say there was a delay from the supplier and they would send RAM soon.
Still not heard anything. They have never answered the phone and not replied to any further emails or a request for a refund. My card company also notified me of fraudulent activity on my account within a few days of my order.
Am going to pursue a refund through my credit card company and will be referring Moby to trading standards as this is clearly a very dodgy business.”
“huge update!!!
if you paid with paypal call them 0800 358 7911 ( you need to have your pin at the ready )
and request for a refund ( have the transaction ID and other details aswell )
lets all be honest here
1) their phones don't work ( comments that confirm this are over 3 months OLD!
2) never responding to emails
3) multiple people having their cards used elsewhere
4) im getting my money back with paypal so i dont have to deal with this lack of communication and fear fo my card being used elsewhere
another reason to always ALWAYS shop using paypal
im just happy im getting my money back!
P.s im a very honest man IF ...and that's a big IF .. that memory card comes through the post, you have my word, I'll cancel the PayPal money refund process
Balls in your court Moby memory”
“My earlier review stated my verified review was on Trustpilot. This has now been removed because I mentioned that I had fraud on my credit card immediately after placing my order. I have rewritten my review in the hope that it will be published by Trustpilot. Another person has posted a similar review after mine, this has been pulled.”
“Beware card fraud, do not use this company !
Goods Ordered 19th April 17 & not received yet 3rd May 17, Not sure if my oder will arrive as like some others my card was fraudulently used a few times after this order.”
“Received faulty battery which they have offered to replace, followed by credit card company blocking my card because of fraudulent transactions. My verified review is on Trustpilot.”
“Woah! I just left a Trustpilot reivew and they deleted it immediately! They don't even want to hear about the problem. They just stole my money basically! Its not that they're not listening or have ineffective customer service, they are listening and *knowingly* avoiding issues, which is effectively stealing money.”
“Avoid these scum like the plague. I wish I had read the reviews on here before I parted with our credit card details. I purchased two Sandisk wireless sticks. One was delivered and I am still waiting for the other to arrive. I won't be holding my breath. After numerous emails to their so called and useless customer services and their failed promises I began to realise what their game is. They sell your card details to other scum and they fleece your account. A check with our credit card company revealed several transactions to a very well known cab company. Card now frozen. Several transactions for serious amounts were declined. My advice is if you have bought anything from these scum contact your card provider and cancel your card. Just wish I knew this a couple of weeks ago.”
“Express delivery, What express delivery, you place your order, it can take them up to 4 days even to accept your order, in which you have already paid for goods, then it has to shipped, at that point, you get an email to say its on its way, already 8 working days, its only express when its being shipped, I paid extra for this service, andit really is just not good enough. Read their Terms and Conditions before you place an order with these people”
“REVIEW by AD 17/4/17
Sent an order for 6 SDHC Memory Cards. Three weeks later, they still haven't arrived, but information on website states that they've been shipped (doubtful?). Although I haven't experienced problems with mobymemory.com in the past, clearly from the reviews that I've just read regarding non-delivery and other worrying scenarios, my association with them has just come to an abrupt end.”
“Mark my words... be very very careful if these crooks! Or order a USB phone lead which was cheap and arrived quickly but here's the catch. They sell on your card details and within a week of purchase you will have fraudulent activity on your card. Numerous people have reported this same scenario I describe. So avoid like the plague, wish I had saw the reviews 😠”
“If anyone has purchased an item from Moby memory and it hasn't arrived, as well as you've made an effort to get in touch with them and they haven't responsed.
First cancel the card you made the purchase with and contact your bank and raise a dispute/chargeback

========================================
The banks will contact moby memory and will take it up with them, and hopefully, that should at least get back your money.”
“I would have awarded them zero stars but that was not an option.
I ordered a £65 hard drive in February, and it did not arrive. I e mailed Moby Memory and they said it had been lost in their warehouse, at which point they refunded the money. I (stupidly) reordered the hard drive as it was a present for my dad and a reliable company he uses had recommended Moby Memory. Funnily enough, the hard drive did not arrive again (I'd even paid extra for a fast delivery this time). I e mailed Moby and got a response in broken English saying they were waiting for a shipment of the item from abroad. I demanded a full refund. A day later, I got a refund e mail stating the money was back in my account - it wasn't. Three days later and after two more e mails directly to Mobv threatening them with Trading Standards and after I opened up a refund case on Paypal, they have refunded the money. Avoid the company at all costs.”
“Ordered a card on March 3rd from these people. After complaining of no delivery they said that a replacement would be sent on March 23rd 2017.Nothing has arrived as expected!
I have now contacted Pay Pal to resolve the case. Like others I have used this company before with no problems!”
“Yep, my story is pretty much the same as everyone else's here:
1. Order a USB stick on the 5th March, it never turned up and they said they'll send me another one.
2. A week ago, my bank contacted me and found that they noticed fraudulent activity on my card.
Feel really disappointed that I had fallen for this kind of scam.”
“My order was lost by their delivery service - they sent a replacement, eventually. However, it looks like the battery may be fake. I have only just read the recent reviews for Moby Memory on this site and I am rather shocked to read about people being subject to fraudulent credit card transactions after purchasing from this company. It *may* be a coincidence, but around 10 days after my payment I was contacted by my credit card company about fraudulent transactions - for Netflix and Trainline - this seems disturbingly similar to the experiences of other reviewers, below.
So, on the grounds of late delivery, fake goods and possible theft through fraudulent transactions I suggest you avoid this company.”
“I also got stung on an order placed 13th March 2017. After digging around it seems that prior to April 2016, Moby Memory were a legitimate business (as it was recommended to me by a friend) and had been trading since 2009.
However, in April 2015, the company dissolved and a new company was registered (Company number 10099753) on 4th April 2016 under the same name.
This new company has been trading fraudulently since then and the owners name is SHAH, Meetul.
The company registration number they quote on their website (08775950) is incorrect - this actually relates to a company called NEWBAY TRADING LIMITED and it's directors are named as 1) MONERY, Christopher Tom, 3a, Livingstone Court, 55 Peel Road, Harrow, Middlesex, United Kingdom, HA3 7QT 2) SHAH, Heeran - 3a, Livingstone Court, 55 Peel Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 7QT and 3) KAHAN, Barbara - Winnington House, 2 Woodberry Grove, North Finchley, London, United Kingdom, N12 0DR.
Heeran Shah and Meetul Shah are brothers aged 30 and 27 respectively. It seems that illegal activity runs in the family. The website is clearly fraudulent and they have pounced on unsuspecting customers who used and trusted Moby Memory in the past.
I guess we can all learn to be more diligent online and do our research.”
“Scam artists. My bank now has fraudulent activities on it like most reviewers. Contacted moby lots of times but no reply. Called the businesses that are on the street they claim to be at and no company hae heard of them! Trading standards are aware and like the person below, I will be getting hold of watxh dog etc.
Please please please do not use.”
“Like other reviewers here, an online purchase was followed by mobile phone and debit card fraud. This review would of course be removed from trust pilot. Be cautious.”
“The Trustpilot reviews are all FAKE.
Exactly the same as everyone else, been 4 weeks now no goods, excuses and more excuses Lies and Utter BS from some guy who says he is the owner. Few days after my purchase my bank too called me up for fraudulent transactions. pizza's , netflix, train tickets etc. These guys are selling your card details off in a scam. Do not use them. Data protection means nothing to them and they have breached every consumer act you can think off.
I have already started reporting them to the relevant authorities to ensure they get shut down quick.”
