“Morrisonās Heckmondwike
The incident occurred today, Thursday 16th July 2020 in between 14:45-16:30.
I had E-gift vouchers which I tried using at the petrol Station and got refused by a sales attendant called Gazala, who assumed without even checking that they were school vouchers, even though I insisted it was a gift card. So she pointblank refused and I had to pay by my bank card.
Chris Haigh, one of the managers in the store who was supposed to deal with my query was extremely unhelpful, I provided email proof which he wouldn't even look at and his exact words were "I am not prepared to help you". So out of frustration, I called the Morrisons Head Office and spoke to John who clarified I could use the vouchers at the petrol station. I got John to speak to Chris Haigh who falsely claimed they were school vouchers. He for some reason was totally refusing to help me! I asked to speak to a store manager or someone above him and he said "they are not in today".
As I was going out of the store, I came across James the store manager (Chris also seems to be a persistent liar!) Within 5-10 mins, he accepted that the e-gift vouchers can be used and gave me a refund as I paid by my bank card and accepted the e-gift card.
I am baffled at the service given by Chris the manager, I was polite and did not step out of line. What was supposed to be a short trip to fuel my car took 1 hour and 45 mins, with Chris Haigh being the biggest hurdle.”
“Norwich Morrisons,
We bought two items, paid for them using the self service tills. On leaving we heard an alarm, took no notice, and continued outside.I was than stopped by a security guard, who asked for our receipt,I asked to go to an office,as we were carrying a lot of goods from different shops. We started going into the shop again,we were then told to go outside and empty our bags.I had my coat shaken? He asked whether I had any alcohol, where I bought other items not related to Morrisons.Remember,I had paid for the items I picked in Morrisons.I have never been stopped by a security guard before,I was humiliated and very upset.Morrisons customer service is very bad,not happy.
I did report this to their customer complaints, frankly not interested, and they hung up on me.”
“Towards the end of this month we will all be required to wear face masks in any stores. This goes for Morrisons also, and I hope the staff are also going to be suitably attired, especially the Dover store in Kent. So far it has been an utter disgrace that social distancing has not been observed by staff and customers alike. Not only this but at times it is almost impossible to pass by a staff member busy filling shelves without almost touching them. Supervisors are not wearing masks either, so no good example to other staff. Bad local management or the entire company? Who knows. I have posted before about this store and I really do not have an axe to grind, only facts.”
“I used Morrisons home delivery for the first time today. I have been living at the same address for 16 years and no other supermarket delivery company has had any difficulty finding me, mostly Ocado who are great. It took the driver three phone calls to locate me and then I had to go outside in the road to look for him. I don't know where his head was but I had to wave and shout before he saw me. He walked up, put the bags in the middle of the road and then walked away, no apology, nothing. I laughed because it was so unbelievable. When I unpacked the groceries 2 eggs were broken and they had given me a replacement which I did not want. I sent Morrisons an email to which I received a reply informing me that they would refer back to me in 5 to 7 days! Furthermore, they had taken payment from my card yesterday which I am not sure is legal but every other home delivery supermarket take payment after the delivery has been made.”
“I moved to this area in January so I've been coming here for a while. Morrisons is my closest supermarket so I have no choice but to shop here.
The staff are ignorant, rude and seem to be untrained on their departments. It's a dreadful shopping experience and it's worse since the lockdown. There are cafe workers on the checkout that don't know what they're doing and when we have patiently queued outside and tried to dodge customers in the aisles because you have no distancing rules in place other than at the checkout, the last thing you need is to queue for 45 minutes at a check out because the staff don't know how to use the til properly.
It's such an unpleasant experience.”
“I am gonna say about startford upon Avon Morrison..I am an agency worker .I worked for agent when agency call me for shelf stacking job .In June a weekend I worked for startford upon Avon Morrison for 3 night shift .I found that staff are very friendly and Ii can say that I worked hard because I'm doing it regularly. But unfortunately Morrison paid me 2 shift instead of 3 but even though I did work 3 shift .
The most Hurtful thing is Morrison haven't paid my one shift during covid time and I came for this shift all the way to there .
The excuse they made that,I wasn't good enough. If I was that bad then why they paid me 2 shift ? If I was that bad then they should keep my 2shift money as well like the other 1 shift they kept..”
“Grocery products imported from China - WHY? I purchased two bulbs this morning without checking the country of origin. They were not very big, tiny, in fact but it was all they had. When I got home and noticed that they came from China I threw them in the bin.”
“Throughout lockdown, the Warrington store has left a lot to be desired regarding Coronavirus safety.
On one occasion I was told to stand in a different place whilst waiting. It placed me in the path of passing customers, instead of away from them where Iād been beforehand. Then the staff member who had moved me came within 0.5m on two occasions to (while 2m distancing was still in force).
Today, I was moved, and made to wait next to a member of staff who was stacking shelves in the DVD area. They blamed head office rules!”
“Very very disappointed with Morrisons. In normal times they are my main supermarket and the local High Wycombe store is great.
But, since lockdown, we have been trying to get a slot but without success until 1st July! It arrived and when we unpacked it it was all wrong and the eggs were broken.
Have tried to contact them but, apart from standard emails, havenāt had any helpful reply.
About to give up and go to store to complain there.
Tesco has this delivery thing completely sown up and will carry on using them for now.”
“informed an employee the hand sanitiser was empty insisted it wasnt said you had to press it several times we both did this and nothing came out but he still insisted it was not empty. also Ā£5 voucher would not scan on self service checkout and employee was rude i thanked her for doing it for me and did not answer just give me a dirty look”
“I have always recommended Morrisons home delivery to friends and family, but since your new system, where goods are being delivered from a local store, I am so disappointed that I am now looking to change to another supermarket. Every week when trying to order there are numerous items out of stock. Then when delivery time comes,I am sent a list of items missing and another list of substitutions. Time for a change I think.”
“Dear Sir/Madam, I have just visited the Morrisons store in Front Street Acomb, York , and while there purchased their fruit salad donuts. I must say that my wife and I were "over the moon" by the excellent taste and texture of the donuts. The donuts at this store never fail to please and are much better than the larger store in the city. Over a period of time we have tried similar donuts at other supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsbury's and besides being more expensive, they are not a touch on the Acomb, Morrisons supermarket. How the baker produces these donuts day in and day out at this immaculate quality is unbelievable. Also the inside filling is never skimped on and there is always plenty inside. We do believe that Morrisons at this Acomb York store should enter these donuts into a competition, or invite James Martin to taste them. Especially the fruit salad ones. They are brilliant and teh donut texture is just right and crispy. Well done the baker at Morrisons, Acomb, York.”
“Everything about Morrisons is excellent especially the delivery drivers but the company is completely ley down by its AWFUL customer services. Does it actually have this function?”
“Tried to pass off their out of date stock (soya milk) when delivered. This was a replacement and they, conveniently did't list it on the receipt. Nearly half the order was missing. Useless supermarket.”
“We went to Morrison Spalding on Saturday 27th June. We havenāt been shopping for 3 months and was shocked by the way one of the staff was treating customers. Her name was sue, she had her hair tied back and wore glasses
She was stood by the tills waving an arrow pointing to which till we all should go to. She was extremely rude and abrupt, speaking to customers with totally disrespect. We scurried over the the till she demanded we go to.
The lady who was on the till looked embarrassed. I then looked up to see her waving her arrow again frantically at customers saying āare you idiots , canāt you readā. I heard and so did the lady on the till who again looked very embarrassed. If that wasnāt enough another member of staff went over to her and she said āfor fu** sake, honestly!ā Then they both laughed.
I was absolutely disgusted. Again not only did we hear this but so did the lady on the till, who apologised.
The whole experience is hard enough on everyone. But surely customer service should still be playing a part in the service provided. Extremely disappointing, definitely wonāt be going back.”
“It's been well over 12 months since I shopped at morrisons over the enormous price of vanish powder, today I only wanted 4 items so I thought let me try the Leek store, A 1kilo of lurpak spreadable Ā£7.20 & I had to ask the price of it because there was no price on the shelf, I now know why, even the 500kg was cheaper at Ā£2.75 & that was on offer,
The last Lurpak I bought from Asda 750kg Ā£4.
I had to rate it at 1 star just to make a comment,
Going to be a long, long even longer time before I shop at morrisons again.
