“Very simple to complete and immediate delivery .... but flagged up outstanfing finance with 'do not proceed with the purchase of this vehicle'. Heated words with seller followed as seemed illegally selling car he did not own. Both myself and seller paid for additional HPI reports and both came back clean. I did not proceed with purchase as element of doubt remained. Phone number to mycarcheck invalid, sent urgent email. Got reply a day later that info was out of date and no finance owed but by this time vehicle had been sold to spmeone else. Furious as this inaccurate report cost me a good vehicle. Got a £9.99 refund but still £19.99 out of pocket for extra report. I thought rhey all used same database but obviously not. Never again , will pay a bit extra for more reliable company. Very poor performance with big implication for myself. Buyer beware, you have been warned !!”

“Your information you hold on my vehicle is incorrect and not in line with the trades recognised HPI database, which shows my vehicle is all clean in all respects. You have cost me 2 potential sales of my vehicle. Thank you very much, and to add insult, I paid you £9.99. *don't trust the information given* Go with the trade recognised database.”

“The only thing that you give extra but in you add you make seem to be part of your £1.99 offer but isn’t (Clever wording) is the HPI check the rest I can find out for free on various Websites. Value for money out of 10 is (1)”

“Really bad , I used to get through email and it was so easy to email or print but through app I tried to send it to my customer it doesn’t go through, wasted my money”

“After spending an extra £10 I got the same report, which stated I then had a written off car.. I did another report with another company which came back clear!!”

“Avoid!!! This service provides outdated information. I sold my car and My Car Check report showed finance associated with the vehicle, when I 100% knew there had been no finance associated to the vehicle for many months. I had to prove to the purchaser by obtaining 2 other checks from HPI and Green Flag which clearly showed there was no finance on the vehicle and both of these services guaranteed the information for +£30k. My advice is AVOID My Car Check! Stick with the tried and trusted providers that guarantee their information for peace of mind.”

“Expensive as when you buy more than one car check options it should give you a longer time but it expires quick!”

Hi Farooq Thanks for using My Car Check and buying a 3 bundle. We've looked into you account and can see that you've used 1 of your checks and have 2 left to use. These don't expire so you can use these whenever you need. To use one of the credits, login on the website, iOS or Android app, enter a reg number, then select Comprehensive check, on the payment pages choose 'Redeem credit' or 'Use credit'. “Purchased Comprehensive check which showed all clear. I purchased a vehicle based on this information. Few week later i run HPI check and it shows as stolen/recovered! Now this cars value is lower than what i paid. Have emailed Customer services and received we passed your complaint to other department. It's now been 8 days and no reply or updates to any of my chase-up emails.”

“Not happy at all. Paid for full check & came up Warning! Don’t proceed with purchase.. finance outstanding!!’ The seller sent me an Experian report showing no finance outstanding on van so I paid for another HPI search with another company & they said no finance outstanding. Waste of money as far as I can see if they are not updating records regularly.”

“Purchased vehicle on basis that there was nothing seriously wrong with vehicle. Subsequently discovered through another source that it was a salvage vehicle which had Cat S damage. Would not have purchased vehicle if this had been known pre purchase”
