“This procedure has been an absolute life saver for me, I've been suffering from low self-confidence ever since I started to lose my hair, and it took me forever to find the courage to get a hair transplant, but I'm so glad I did! A big thank you to everyone at the clinic, my Doctor, and the whole team of nurses who looked after me while I was there and made sure I was comfortable the whole day. All I can say is if you are thinking about doing a transplant go for it, it makes a huge positive difference!”

“My operation day at the clinic went in a very professional and relaxed manner, I arrived just after 8am and was greeted by my surgeon, we then sat down and chatted through my expectations, how the day would progress and what to expect, then my head was shaved. After a discussion we finalised the exact position of the new hairline to make sure it was just where I wanted and would still be happy with later in life, and the anaesthetic was injected, those injections do sting a little but are all over in 5 mins, and then a short time later my head was fully numb and the procedure could begin. The 2 nurses extracted the grafts from the back of my head while I put some headphones in and listened to music, its an odd sensation but not a painful one. After that the surgeon took over and made all the little incisions for where the new hairs were going to go, and then we had a short break for lunch, where my choice of food was supplied, and then the final phase in the afternoon was the graft being implanted into my head. Everything was over and done by around 3.30pm - I think I was expecting a lot more drama but with the staff being so friendly the day just flew by. The first few nights sleeping was a little tricky but I got used to it and the little bit of swelling went away after a few days, my head had healed fully by about day 12 and just had a little tenderness in the skin for a couple more weeks. It's just under 2 months now and the first hairs have shedded as it was explained they would, and I've seen the first few hairs starting to grow, even though they aren't predicted until end of month 3 so things are going faster than expected which is a great sign. After care from the clinic has been good with any queries or questions answered quickly. Overall I'm happy I chose this clinic as it was surprisingly affordable compared to some places I'd spoken to and the service provided has been first class.”

“I wasn't able to have surgery at the My Hair clinic so I can't comment on the quality of the transplant but during my initial consultation I disclosed that I am HIV positive and the consultant informed me that they do not do transplants for HIV positive people, and while he was very apologetic about this, I feel this is not very inclusive in this day and age as it is an increasingly common condition.”

Hi Adam, thank you for your honest review. You are correct in that there are multiple medical conditions that may prevent our clinics from being able to offer a patient a hair transplant, and blood conditions like Hepatitis or HIV (even at an 'undetectable' level) are just a few, which is the case at most transplant clinics regrettably. This is why we run through a medical screening procedure with any potential patients during the initial consultation to avoid disappointment later in the process.

“I'm very impressed with the combination of professional approach and friendly manner from all the staff at the clinic from my initial consultation to the day of the procedure and right through the aftercare through the healing process. My FUE surgery itself was surprisingly not too painful after some horror stories I'd read, and other than a little swelling for a couple of days which I was warned about in advance the post operation discomfort was not bad at all. There's no scars, marks or sign of any surgery and I'm looking forward to seeing the final results.”

“I had already had a few consultations before speaking to Daniel at the My Hair clinic, and had been quoted all sorts of astronomical prices. I'd already done my research but it was by far the most professional consultation I'd had, not pushy and explained everything in a lot more depth and the science behind it. I booked in for the operation beginning of December at the London branch, and on the day found my doctor to be really friendly and reassuring, and the nursing team looked after me all day, I opted for the optional Jet anaesthetic and was pretty much pain free. I had about 10 days off work to recover and everything had healed nicely by then. The clinic team were great in guiding me through the important aftercare process and keeping in touch to make sure everything is progressing. It's been a month so far and all going well, can't recommend this clinic highly enough!”

“My surgery was early November at the London clinic, where I had 3000 grafts implanted. 8am was an early start (particularly when you aren't allowed coffee beforehand!) but the day was stress free and far less painful than I thought it would be. I spent quite a lot of time planning my new hairline with the surgeon and discussing different options, and a couple of months later I'm glad I made the right choice. It took about 10 days to heal fully and during that time I was chatting via whatsapp to the clinic who were fast to answer my queries. The clinic itself was clean and upmarket and all the staff were really friendly. Taking the plunge with something like this was a big step but glad I took the time to do my research and use a reputable UK clinic, I'd recommend them to anyone thinking of improving their hair.”

“Delighted with my hair transplant, the whole thing was simple to arrange, from a video consultation to start, then coming in for a chat with the surgeon beforehand, and the day itself being really smooth from beginning to end. The team at the Manchester clinic were great, the girls were chatting away to me during the procedure and made sure I was comfy and happy the whole time. Aftercare follow-up has been good with instructional videos and my consultant always on hand via whatsapp to answer any questions. I can't think of anything that could have been done better,”

“I was expecting something of an arduous experience as I'm not great with needles, but the day ran really smoothly and the jet anaesthesia was a lifesaver, completely pain free. Excellent work from the doctor, from the explanation beforehand to planning the hairline he was great, and the new position is exactly how it was when I was younger. everything healed in around a week and there's no sign of any surgery, no one has even noticed I've had anything done. A big thanks and well done to all involved from the clinic, one life problem solved for good!”

“Both my consultation with the Trichologist and the day of the surgery were both really professionally done. It's now a couple of months since my surgery in early November, the initial hair has shed and I can start to see the first of the new growth just starting to appear, earlier than expected! The new hairline is positioned exactly how I wanted it and all looking on target so far. I'm really pleased with the service and I have recommended this place to my balding friends already.”

“I had 2500 grafts in October and took around 6 hours. I found the surgery day at the clinic surprisingly relaxing, everything was so clean and professional and the surgeon spent a lot of time with me making sure I understood what was going to happen and I'm glad I went for the needle free anaesthetic, and I sat and listened to my audiobook all day while the team there did their thing. The recovery was quick and painless, some slight swelling for a few days as expected and within 10 days all the scabs had gone and I was back to work. It healed perfectly and a few months down the line I'm starting to see the growth come through really quickly. Outstanding overall service, sensible price and good results, would recommend!”

“This was my 2nd hair transplant (my 1st was done in Turkey 5 years ago) and the service was night and day different, the clinic was clean and clearly very professional, the surgeon spent a long time explaining exactly what he was aiming for and answered a lot of my questions, and the technicians were so chatty and helpful, it felt more like a spa day than surgery, and the 7 hours it took flew by. It was immediately obvious that my grafts have been put in a lot more densely than the first time in Turkey, and even though it's only been a few months I'm already seeing growth as I didn't get much shedding this time around. I thought I know what to expect and was preparing myself for another painful experience but this time was a lot less painful than how I remember the first one being, which is testament to the skill of my surgeon. Very happy with my treatment and the overall experience, and would absolutely recommend this clinic.”

“Very professional clinic with great patient care, they were always attentive to my needs leading up to, during and after the procedure, even when I was messaging late at night. I was comfortable throughout the day, and the surgeon did a fantastic job with the new hairline, shaping it exactly how I asked and not just in a standard cookie-cutter fashion as I purposefully wanted a more squared-off look to suit my face shape. 3 months in and the results are starting to show and I'm confident my hair will look fantastic after its full year of growth. 5 star service.”

“Everything from the consultation with Daniel via Zoom, to the surgery day itself and the excellent doctor and really chatty nurses to the care afterwards and checking in on me was all 100% first rate. The facilities are lovely and clean, they allowed me to take a break during the procedure when I asked and even got me food in. Everything the clinic had promised beforehand was put in writing and done exactly as agreed, and results are coming through on time, I can't wait to see what I look like later in the year once it's had the full 12 months to grow. A big thank you to everyone involved at the clinic, keep up the good work!”

“A big thank you for giving me the beard I always wanted, the transplant took about 5 hours and was very straightfoward and painless, some slight swelling in my cheeks for a couple of days that settled down quickly and within a week everything had healed up nicely. The gaps in my beard have been filled, all the new stubble is growing in the same direction as my original stubble and you would never be able to tell it hadn't been there the whole time. For a days surgery and a pretty affordable price I cant believe the difference it's made, it felt like a big step beforehand to go for it but turns out there was nothing to worry about, thanks to my surgeon and all at the clinic.”

“I talked to a lot of clinics with people quoting me without even seeing my hair, I found the My Hair clinic online and after a chat came in to see the surgeon and had a proper discussion face to face with someone who knew what they were talking about instead of a salesman, and it was really refreshing. No pressure, just having the process explained clearly made all the difference. The day itself was straightforward and everything done in a really professional manner, and I'm seeing some great results start to come through a few months down the line. Forget Turkey or those back street clinics, if you want experts and a pleasant experience give this clinic a call.”

“My beard transplant at the My Hair clinic in London was a smooth and pain-free procedure, took around 6 hours but the surgeon and the technicians were so friendly on the day, and made sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on. The design was exactly as I had discussed with my advisor beforehand and it's taken my beard from being rather patchy to being even both sides, further up my cheeks and much fuller overall. My face healed within days and there's no sign of any surgery. I'm delighted with the result and the level of professionalism throughout the process.”
