I'd just really like to echo the sentiments of the vast majority of customers who have had the pleasure of buying from the Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre. The guys who we spoke to (Ed and Andrew) are probably the most professional and helpful team i have ever come across. Being a relative newcomer to the drums, both Ed and Andrew were extremely knowledgeable and patient and could answer all the questions posed to them easily. I had been close to buying a drum kit online, however I am certainly glad I did not and I would urge anyone looking into buying equipment to come here.

We wanted an electric drum kit for me and my son so visited the Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre. Despite my son only being six they took us seriously and showed us the full range of electric drums and left us to play them without any pressure. We were given loads of advice and they really helped us a lot with our decision. After a further visit and more helpful advice we decided to buy a Roland drum kit and accessories. These guys really do know their stuff and will help anyone young or old beginner or seasoned player. In this day and age of faceless internet companies I would always use these guys again every time for their expertise, knowledge and customer service which is second to non they couldn't have done more for us.

Having searched for months for a cover for my newly restored marching band bass drum (26x12), I found on line you appeared to have that size. I don't do many of that type of gig but needed some form of cover to protect it whilst getting it into the loft. The description given by Ed sounded just right. When it arrived it was exactly what I was after. Well done Ed. Thanks Pete Smith

I am very happy to recommend The Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre to anyone but particularly to the novice drummer or parent of a novice drummer. Andy and the rest of the guys genuinely know their stuff and have great patience and enthusiasm in answering questions and giving advice. Although they are prepared to advise and even recommend, in the end it is your choice, you are not put under any pressure whatsoever. I have been a customer of The Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre for 9 years. I bought my first drum kit in 2006 (Mapex Series 5) which has given me fantastic service through that time. When I needed a replacement bolt for the tom tom holder Andy found me an adequate substitute while he ordered the exact item from Mapex. Just one example of the excellent service I have received over the years. I have upgraded stands, cymbals, and acquired numerous percussion items from The Drum Centre always with the same friendly advice and service. Most recently I decided to upgrade my whole drum kit and spent a very useful and enjoyable couple of hours at The Drum Centre before settling on a Tama Hyperdrive Kit with which I am extremely pleased. The advice, service throughout including delivery was exemplary. These guys will go the extra mile to get it as you want it! I highly recommend The Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre. Robin

I'm a guitarist who's sort-of played drums for years and has finally decided to learn 'properly'. I FINALLY bought my new Roland TD-11K kit today, plus throne and pedal. NDaGC has not only the most professional staff, but also the most patient! I've been popping in for weeks for 'another quick go' on the demo kit (with others in a dedicated Roland demo room if anyone is thinking of trying), becoming something akin to an annoying fly. Not only that, but I had questions. ALL the questions.... It's a rare thing these days to find a music store that you instantly feel at home in. Maybe it's just me, but most shops I visit tend to make me feel a little pressured or like I'm wasting their time. Not so here. What a fantastic example of what music shops ought/used to be like. So, delighted to have found my new musical-treehouse. And SO grateful to Andy and Dave for putting up with my newbie questions. They treated me like I was their first customer. I'll be back. Always get excellent service in this store, had a faulty item which was swapped with no fuss at all, new item tested in store and only left when everyone was satisfied that I had a working item! All the guys in the shop seem to know their stuff and are great with kids just starting out, they never try to sell you something you don't need!

The service at Nottingham Drum and Guitar Centre is always first class. The knowledge and advice is absolutely superb. When my son recently wanted to upgrade his cymbals we had lots of conflicting advice but a visit to the shop and the sound advice was excellent!!

Great service from all the staff at the Nottingham Drum Centre. They were all equally helpful on the email, phone and in person. I'd like to thank Andy in particular as he dealt with my sale, from the initial contact via email, to assisting me in the shop, placing my order with Gretsch and aftersales care. He also put together a very good deal for me and as a result I was a happy, satisfied customer walking out with a new Gretsch Renown Maple kit, a full set of hardcases and some additional hardware. Thanks! Alex

Excellent service, assistance and knowledge. Drum kit - yes you'd expect them to know about that, Drum kit to Malawi - well that's maybe a little more unusual, but they rose with enthusiasm to the challenge, assisting with packing, re-packing, weighing etc. happy to work with my 15 year old son to complete the task. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Very experienced, clearly know the kit as well as having played it and played it on tour. We had visited about 6 different specialist music stores in different UK cities and this was by far the best. next time I'll have to remember to ask for VAT receipt!

The guys at the Drum and Guitar Centre are incredibly handsome and bring their great wealth of professional experience to bear from distinguished careers in diplomacy, international finance and gardening. The centre looks great as soon as you walk in with all the stock visible and well presented. The mezzanine level really helps with this and the store has an attractive open atmosphere. There's a great attention to detail and to keeping things fresh with new displays and products for musicians, whether beginners or professionals. The staff are friendly and helpful, offering knowledgeable advice. I'm a regular customer and know that I can always get what I need and that it will be an enjoyable experience. Keep it up chaps.
