“Love the furniture, quality was fantastic, easy to put together - but very disappointed in customer service. The wardrobes were pre ordered with an expected arrival of 8-10 weeks. I had to contact them after 12 weeks to get updates. 14 weeks, after I contacted the office again, I was told they were in the country. It was another couple of weeks when I contacted them again to be told 2 of 3 items were in the warehouse waiting for the 3rd item to arrive. After the initial order was placed 9 February, the last shipment was dispatched 9 June. I was promised a gift voucher due to the delay. That didn't happen. If you are prepared to wait a long time with no progress updates, you will love the furniture when it eventually arrives.”

For the first time, I ordered the Berlin Bookcase in Small and Medium. The items arrived within about 7 days or so. No damage. Exactly, as represented on the website. Great value for money, I felt, being Solid Oak and I managed to buy on sale. :-) The staff were extremely helpful throughout, both on the 0800 phone and via email, during the process of arranging my order and shipping delivery.

I was amused that the few instructions to fix the handles and legs were in Korean but the unit was mostly assembled so it wasn't important. Communication with Oak Furniture has been excellent. “Overall the product is well made, but one of the holes in the frame was set too low for the screw to catch, so we couldn't screw in the middle section as directed. Also the adaptor you send was broken so we can't use that either. Also, the instructions, while relatively easy to follow, were all written in what I assume was mandarin, so we couldn't read them. I was surprised by this with it being an NZ store and a lot of reviews saying the instructions were easy to follow. I must be one of the few non-bilingual customers you have. I have taken photos of all the above if you can send us a new adaptor that would be good, also some adaptors for the bed frame so we can plug in our devices would also make the product fit for purpose. We were serviced by Allen, who is freindly and very informative about timber types, give us a lot of help withour pushy the sales. Delivery service has been a week earlier than expected.
