“I purchased with them also on the 11.07.19, & 24 hours later was asked to pay a further £42, I have contacted UK consumer direct,
UK Trading Standards & the UK Advertising Agency, I have also contacted their credit card company, please do not let them carry on with this unethical business & the more people that complain to there local agencies the more they will be shut down..”
“Avoid this company like the plague. It cost £9 to unlock a phone via EE and the charged £14.99 upfront and then they do not tell you about the £141 Additional that you have to pay. Nice business model to con people as I’ve tried to complain and there isn’t a valid phone number, email address is an automated canned response, written in 3 styles. It keeps providing the link for you to “complete the payment”, The address is a virtual address that was brought, the company owner Scott Charles Morgan is listed as the only employee. So this guy is conning people. Do not use this service. I’m Reporting this company and parent company intercomms ltd to trading standards ! You have been warned. Also all the 5 star reviews are by anonymous.”
“Absolutely appalling company demanded more fees which is hidden in there t&cs. Wanted me pay another £60! Please do not use this company as its daylight robbery.”
“Scam! Please avoid at all costs.
Upon completing the online process, I wrote in to cancel the service. This was due to the fact that the person I was gifted the phone by, did not realise it was actually not locked to any provider. I apologised for the mistake but as I wrote in, less than hour after completing the online process, I’m sure a refund or cancellation would not have been hard to obtain.
Emma from customer service proceeded to ignore my request and kept me on correspondence until the pre check was completed in order to obtain my funds. She was extremely unprofessional and condescending. Not only do you pay up to £18 to get the process started but an additional charge of twice that amount is required to unlock the phone. It is a classic case of something being too good to be true.
Not only did she inform me at the beginning that the pre check was unsuccessful due to erroneous details being provided (which were not), but when I informed her I’d be taking legal action, an email miraculously appeared stating that it was actually successful.
My bank has raised a dispute on my behalf as they agree that Emma’s behaviour on behalf of the company seems like a Scam.
I have never come across a company who has such disregard for their customers. Do yourself a favour and unlock your phone via the network provider it is locked to.”
“Avoid them! You think you're paying 14.99 but then get an email the next day requesting a total of 50.00 for the code. They'll claim it's in the Ts&Cs but it's all hidden away. It's a scam! Annoyed I fell for it.”
“DO NOT USE - Claim the first £14.99 is just a pre-order!!! Around 24 hours later they ask for "Remaining Unlock Balance" Which is £34.99!!! No where on the website are the extra charges mentioned
Avoid at all costs.”
“This is the worst scam business ever!!
This is the worst scam business ever!!! DO NOT TRUST OFFICAL SIM UNLOCK. They charged me $23 cad to unlock a Samsung phone then 24hr later asked me to pay an additional $46. They claim that is was written in the fine print but not mentioned prior to buying. Be very careful with them! Asked for a refund and they refused. SCAM SCAM SCAM ALERT - OFFICIAL SIM UNLOCK - SCAM”
“I wish I'd read these reviews before paying £17.98 thinking that was a reasonable price for iphone unlock only to then get a demand for an additional £65 to complete the unlock 24 hours later. What an absolute con! PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!”
“Disgusting service with hidden charges. You get a price of £14.99 + vat. 24 hours later you get an email asking for more money before they give you the code.
Avoid!!!”
“Absolute ripoff. Quote you one price which you pay upfront then before they issue the code they ask for further payment. Instead of £14.99 the total is £44.99 .
Disgusting please avoid !!!”
“DO NOT USE..... hidden fees suddenly arise!!!
DO NOT USE.....
they hit you for £15 upfront.... all their unlocks are priced 'from £15' but when they send you the unlock details FURTHER FEES ARE DUE - in my case an extra £66........WHICH THEY NEVER MENTIONED.
The only mention is that 'further fees may be payable' listed in their T's and C's (which they tell you about after you have paid the non-refundable unlock fee of £15 +VAT) - if I had know it was going to be around £80 I would have got a reconditioned phone for that price
ABSOLUTE CON ARTISTS - BEWARE”
