“I would give zero stars if possible. We have no idea what time or where we are closing on our new home, 7502 Westhaven Drive Rowlett TX 75089. Opendoor’s communication is VERY lacking. Stay away from Opendoor and the Opendoor lending that we were sucked into using to save time and money. Well, we definitely have not gained either. Again, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!”

“I am a real estate agent in Charlotte North Carolina and surrounding areas. I have been in the business for over 15 years and have had a very bad experience with Opendoor. My buyers were first time buyers, and it was not a good experience for them either. There is absolutely no communication once you are under contract. I submitted a repair request two weeks prior to the end of our due diligence period and was not able to get a response after emailing, calling, and texting numerous times. After much frustration they responded after 11 days with a weak amount of consideration although there were some significant siding issues found during the inspection. We almost did not close as no one would even respond until the close date of our counter to repairs. We finally refused to close until we got a response that was fair. We still did not get what we should have but at this point closed. Poor communication throughout the transaction. A seller that is actually the owner that lives there would have been much more cooperative in order to sell and there would be communication from a listing agent rather than a company that knows little to nothing about a property and did not disclose damage. We offered a substantial amount of due diligence fee so they knew they had us trapped. I would not recommend for future buyers to go into a transaction with Opendoor. They got 55,000 over what they purchased the property for from seller two months prior to listing. However, they gave little consideration to repairs so beware.”

“Selling our home using Opendoor was very easy. We responded to their email. Talked to the Opendoor rep David Nunez. Scheduled a 20 minute long walk through later that same day, using my phone and walking around each room and the outside. That was Monday. First thing Wednesday, someone walked around the exterior and did an on site inspection. Never even saw the person. About six hours later, we received our offer which was very fair. Set closing, which we did remotely. Received our funds as promised when expected. This was my seventh real estate transaction in my life. It was by far, the most hassle free. I would use them again without question.”

“Best real estate transaction ever! No agents, no listings, no staging, no showings. Sale was done completely online. My Opendoor coordinator was quick to respond to every question I had and the Title Company coordinator and online notary/closing went perfectly. I would highly recommend the Opendoor process over the traditional home-selling circus.”

“A lot of good seller reviews, what about the buyers? Open door does not actually care about the people behind the transaction. You can not directly contact an agent, only a call center. They aren't required to follow local state requirements that every licensed agent is required to follow. They want to make money and buy as many houses as they can to set their own comps to be able to sell for whatever they want.”

“I was so nervous. The team was great and help me feel confident and comfortable with the process. I know we could have probably received a little more for the house, but it was a fair offer and we had tons of equity. We were very pleased. Also time is money and it was a fast process. We closed within three weeks. The only hard part was leaving our first house that made so many memories after about 14 years - and the moving of course🤣.”

“Opendoor allowed us to sell our home on our own timetable at a fair market price. We didn’t have to contend with showings, other people’s schedules or any of the other inconveniences that often occur during the selling process. Our team leaders were responsive to our questions and provided support when needed. Their customer service was great. All financial transactions were made exactly how we were told they would be. . We were very satisfied and would use them again.”

“Kimberly and her team have been amazing to work with. I’m quite neurotic when it comes to things like this but Kimberly was super helpful and provided assurances whenever I need them. I can’t imagine ever selling our houses and other way. Hopefully WAY in the future.”

“It is hard for me to describe how frustrating of an experience it was to sell our home to Open Door. First, something others have mentioned - communication was spotty, often worse, even approaching closing. This was the case from the start to the finish, but as one concrete example, as closing approached, we were told to leave the key in the lockbox on the door. The problem was that there wasn't a lockbox. We repeatedly emailed the agent with whom we were working, but never heard back. On closing, we left the key under a rock, hearing after from the agent that that was fine. The problems were comparable at each stage: exterior inspection, signing the contract, and negotiating repairs. The sale went through, but the whole affair left a sour taste in our mouths, and I can't recommend Open Door to others, except in select situations.”

“We had some problems with getting some of the forms to open and to get them signed thru the use of computers. Other than that everything went just fine and everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. And were happy with the results.”
