“Having a recurring annual charge hidden in the terms and conditions feels like a scam. Trying to cancel my inadvertent membership of Opodo Prime took four months, despite their assurances of how easy it is. I urge you to avoid them. It may be legal, but it's dishonest.”

“Absolute scammers booked a flight via opodo unknown that I had ticked for an ‘opodo prime free trial’ I have rang around 3 times to cancel- the first time I was persuaded to stay and pay a promotional yearly fee which I did, for a month they consistently keep attempting to withdraw £69.99 from my bank account, even though I have rang back since and cancelled the account- I Recieved an email to confirm cancellation but they keep trying to take the £69.99. Thieves”

“Dont book with opodo. Theyvare criminals. They emailed me to say that my flight had been cancelled. I contacted the airline who told me that it hadnt. I took the flight and had no problems. Their plan is to pressure you into cancelling your booking with them and apply for a refund which you will have to fight for. Some people never recieve it. If this happens tonyou then check with the airline. Better still, dont use opodo and just book direct with the airline, it will save you money and a headache”

“The most unhelpful bunch of scammers. Booked a car. Called them regarding my deposit I had to pay 1500 euro and didn't receive it yet. Got zero satisfaction after calling them My advise is stay clear of them”

“NEVER GO WITH THEM!!! Even if you are DESPERATE! Lie about prices, instantly inflate prices, impossible to speak to a representative without at least a 20 minute wait. NO REFUNDS even if they promise these. Please AVOID at ALL COSTS !!!”

“A scam. Terrible service. I paid for a rental car and the rental company was located miles from the airport, their service was a shambles at best, but seemed more like a scam. I paid Opodo for a rental car I never got They didn’t care”

“SCAM! FRAUD! I booked a hotel in Rome using Opodo - when we arrived at the address we discovered that the hotel had been closed and no longer exists. However, Opodo let us book and pay for the hotel for several nights. We were left with no place to stay overnight and with financial damage. The service hotline (even for us Prime members!!) did not respond to our concern! We were kept connected for several hours and left helplessly there, with no support or booking of a new hotel, and we never got a refund. There was simply no response to several subsequent inquiries. Fraud, terrible customer service and an absolute rip off. NEVER AGAIN!”

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK YOUR FLIGHTS! They will trick you into subscribing to their Prime service and then when you wise up and try to cancel it, they make it nigh on impossible: you end up phoning a call centre in a far-off land, who will transfer you between several operatives, who try to persuade you to stick with it, before reluctantly agreeing to comply. They insist you've had a 'special' price for your flight, then when I checked later with the actual airline, it would have been£2 cheaper with no strings attached! Even when you try to 'manage your booking' they make it very difficult and attempt to get you back into 'Prime'. I will NEVER, EVER use this company again and will urge others not to, as well.”

“These people are Scams, the complany is a scam. Simply thieves. I called them they told me a rrfund will arrive within 15 days, when incall i hear lies lies. It's done, and then a technical problem etc... keep away.”

“Opodo is a scam service who deal with Surprise Car Rental company a scam Service who pretend to be at Turin airport but are not. They have to be found 10 minute drive away. They give poor directions and explanations, eroiberstcause delay, treat you rudely and then refuse you the car you had paid for through Opodo unless you pay a huge extra charge for being late which would double the price of the car rental. Avoid Opodo and Surprice Car rental Opodo Customer service are difficult to reach and do not care SCAM I lost €230”

“Scamming people. Got the Prime deal added for free and couldn't cancel it except via phone and was in another country so only way to cancel is calliing for 5€ a minute and no other contact form, no other way and just a dumb chatbot that doesnt give answers. Stay away from these scammers!”

“DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK WITH OPODO, BOOKED A HOLIDAY FLIGHT AND HOTEL TO JERSEY TODAY 2ND JAN 2024, PAID WITH DEBIT CARD ! BIG MISTAKE, EVEN PAID AN EXTRA 34 EACH FOR CHOSING SEATS ON PLANE, ONLY TO HAVE AN EMAIL 2 HOURS LATER CONFIRMING HOTEL WAS OK BUT THERE WERE NO FLIGHTS??? THEY SAID THEY WOULD RETURN MY FLIGHT MONEY BUT THE HOTEL THAT I CANT GET TO IS NON REFUNDABLE!!!! THE LADY AT CALL CENTRE WAS SHOCKING BEYOND BELIEF,, IF JUST 1 PERSON READS THIS AND WALKS AWAY I FEEL I HAVE DONE MY DUTY, IF 1000 PEOPLE WALK AWAY THEN I WOULD BE HAPPY, I AM INSTRUCTING LAWYERS TO GET MONIES BACK”

“Don't ever use this opodo, they're rubbish company to deal with. They're no available to sort anything and if you cancelled a flight they refund less than than half price you have paid. Eventhough I noticed I made a mistake after two minutes of purchase. I should consider looking they're reviews first to buy something from them.”

“Booked a flight via Opodo for London Gatwick Hong Kong return. Deal accepted, booked and paid for was with China Eastern Airlines via Shanghai. Did not notice before but on return leg a 1 hr transfer between 2 of the Shanghai airports required meaning need to get China Transit visa. Tried to get this sorted out to be transfer in same airport on telephone with Opodo. Agernt originally cooperative then cut me off. Still waiting for someone to respond. Have used many intermediary travel services and Opodo is by far the worst. Merits negative score.”
