“I was realy worried about having a second treatment done however the overall experience has been fairly easy and i would definatly recomend it to friends.”

“This was the second time I have had the surgery. Although the first few days after surgey were really painfull which I think you need to let more patents know about I had over a week off work to let my eyes rest and I think this made a big difference in my recovery. I found the first few days this time really hard and felt sick and just laid on the bed with my eyes closed. After a few days I felt a lot better could start to watch TV again. After a weeek I was not still not happy to drive so would get the bus and walk round town though I was tied after. Once I went back to work I did have to have lots of breaks as I work on a computer all day but after the first week back was back to normal.”

“Expecting to have similar vision to what I saw through my glasses, after having the surgery I can now see much clearer than I could have ever imagined! With higher than 20/20 vision (20/16) just looking around feels like everything is brand new! Has been a great experience and I feel I've been very well looked after.”

“Very pleased with overall experience and have found staff informative and able to answer questions to my satisfaction, as well as providing more information if required.My only mild concern is the difficulty I have with night vision but understand that it is very early days and that the halos and starbursts I experience should settle down in future months. Generally very pleased with the whole experience, and would gladly recommend to friends.”

“From the first phone call to Optical Express,everyone I have had contact with has been helpful and reassuring. I was extremly nervous prior to my first eye being done, but I was reassured by staff and meeting the surgeon,Prof Venter was more reassuring. The surgery experience was very good,I was no longer nervous once the process started and the experience was fine. I was especially glad after the first op when I could see white light through my dressing and new I was not blind! This was a great fear prior to having the first eye op! When it came to having my second eye done, after the improvement in my sight after a couple of days of having my first eye op, I couldn't wait until the week was over and I could have my second eye done.Everything has gone well so far, at my check-ups all is progressing well. I was glad when six weeks was up so I could resume normal activities, especially my yoga practice, not so much housework! All in all I am very glad I have had the surgery, and just not having to think "have I got my glasses" is brilliant! My sight is still not perfect, but, and I am realistic enough to know it will not ever be 100%, it is so much better! I would recomend the surgery to anyone who had similar problems to me.”

“I had some reservations initially but the staff and surgeon made me feel at ease prior, during and after the surgery. I appreciate the professionalism, experience and knowledge and staff answered all my questions. I am very happy with my vision now and would not hesitate in recommending the procedure to my friends”

“the whole experience has been brilliant i was always put at ease and had all my questions anwered. the information pack given before the surgery was great and didn't really need to ask any questions on the day. After the surgery there was some discomfort but nothing to stop me doing anything i normally would. After 2 days my eyes felt back to normal and the vision was exquisite. i would reccomend optical express to any friend or family member that is thinking of changing from glasses/contacts. i still have to remind myself that i am no longer wearing contact lenses and how good the vision is. the overall experience has been life changing.”

“surgery was very quick, but it was very painful for 3 days and blurry for about 2 weeks then every day got better and better, 3 months on and my sight is perfect i have worn glasses from the age of 7 and im 36 now, its wonderful to finaly have perfect vision :)”

“Every thing has gone well and every one at optical express at cambridge and london have been great the operation was pain free ,having a filling at the dentist was much worse ,the after care is very good ,at this time i am sentsitive to bright light and halo which i was told to expect,which should get better in time .”

“For a little discomfort on the first day, and resultant discomfort from dry eyes for a few days, I now have perfect vision and am free from the inconvinience of glasses. This is an amazing surgery and I would recommend it to all. I cannot speak highly enough of the service and medical proceedures I received. My vision is now better than 20/20.”
