“It has transformed my life as I could no longer wear contacts due to severe dry eyes. The surgery was really smooth and I was always put at my ease. The after care has been excellent too and overall I would say very good value for money.”

“the operation was quick and pain free, but had horrendous pain after an hour of the operation which lasted about six hours, a few days of discomfort and saw the tv clearly the next day,”

“The improvement in my vision has been fantastic. Provedure was quick and every appointment I have had has been handled quickly. I have never had to wait past my appointment time. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The improved eyesight now makes it easier for me to do active sports without the worry of losing a contact lense. Travelling has now become easier also with no worry about taking glasses and contact lenses with me.”

“on first arriving i was a little worried if it would really work or if it did work how good it really would be, after speaking to a member of staff all was explained in great detail which made me feel alot more comfortable in myself about having it done, the actual surgery was rather uncomfortable but i think that was due to a stranger playing with my eyeball :) after the surgery it was a little sore but every day after that life just gets better and better”

“I had my surgery at lakeside in essex and it was the best thing i ever did. My prescription was -2.50 in both eyes and i had a astigmatism in my right eye. I had been wearing glasses and contact lenses since i was 18 years of age and im now 47.I decided to have the laser eye surgery when one of my contact lenses caused a ulcer in my left eye which could have made me go blind. I read a few reviews and spoke to people i new who also had the surgery and decided to give it a go. I contacted Optical Express about a consultation and they were very helpful to me. I had the consultation where i was advised of the types of surgery available and the prices. I opted for the wavefront lasek sugery on both my eyes. I was given a information pack which gave me loads of help and advice which included taking a pair of sunglasses with me to wear after my surgery to protect my eyes from the light. The day of my surgery came and i was very nervous but also excited at the thought of what my eyesight would be like after the surgery. The nurse at the front desk was very helpfull and all the other staff were very friendly. The surgery itself took no more then 10 minutes and was painless. After the surgery my eyes did sting for a while but i was given 2 types of eyedrops to use which helped me for the next few weeks. I noticed my eyesight was alot better straight after the surgery and when i went for my checkups i was told my eyesight was better then 20/20 vision.”
