“As above, but very disappointed with appointment system. Would have liked to go to Guildford but store not open on Saturdays which I think I should have been forewarned! A number of appointments were cancelled and venues changed leading up to Christmas. Appointments could not be booked more than three weeks in advance because of restrictions of computer booking. Hopefully this will be updated before my husband comes to have intraocular replacement in the summer!”

“I had laser surgery in both eyes for short-sightedness. The transformation in the left eye was noticable after only an hour. In the right eye I unluckily had DLK, an immune-response complication. This meant that for a week post-op my eye was very itchy and I had blurred vision. I required a small second procedure to clean the eye, after which the vision improved noticably within an hour. Throughout the week of having DLK I went into the clinic almost every day and was very impressed with the standard of care. Even though I was not one of the immediate "success stories", three months on I am extremely happy with the results. A few things to note though that I noticed after my surgery... 20/20 doesn't necessarily mean I see exactly the same out of both eyes. My vision fluctuates on a day to day basis (even before surgery) in both eyes but this is normal. It took a few months for eyes to completely settle down. I am really happy with the results now, and would highly reccomend the procedure and Optical Express.”

“Life changing procedure as contacts irriated my eyes after a few hours so I needed to wear glasses most of the time. I teach yoga, do water sports like wakeboarding and surfing and I run which means contacts were a necessity. Not having to wake up and reach for glasses and mess about with contact lenses has made a significant improvement to my life. It's amazing!”

“Much easier and straightforward than I expected. No pain or discomfort beyond the first few hours. Attentive staff which gave me the confidence in the whole procedure.Very happy with the results and I feel I got a good service all round. Would reccomend.”

“It was all very well explained to me. The staff were attentive and always helpful and the surgeon and his team top class. It is quite unbelievable that a procedure that takes hardly 15 minutes can change your life to this degree. I can't be thankful enough to the staff at Optical Express for everything.”

“I had my first laser eye surgery over a year ago, with complications, and have since undergone numerous enhancement procedures, but at the end it was all worth it. The care and aftercare is of very good quality. Very satisfied with the service provided overall.”

“The whole experience has been very easy, from the first consultation, through to the follow up check ups. Every member of staff has been so helpful and explained everything, ensuring that I am as comfortable as possible. I would recommend my surgeon, Dr Carr, to anyone considering having it done, he was excellent during the proceedure and it went past so quickly - I felt like I was in and out within minutes. Will definately be recommending Optical Express to all of my friends who are now considering having it done since mine was such a success.”
