“I spent a long time thinking about having laser eye surgery after the consultation. The staff answered all my questions and gave me lots of dates and locations to pick from for surgery ( with having two young children i had to pick a good time for my husband to take time off work and my mum to babysit). The surgery day was nerve racking but the surgery itself was very quick. The after care has been fantastic and i have recommended to friends as it has improved my life.”

“A quick and effective operation with very little discomfort, I did have to have one eye operated on again to make a slight adjustment but this was no problem.”

“from start to finish the service has been great. everyone puts you at ease and explains everything to you. the operation was over with in minutes and im so happy now with my 'new' eyes. hobbies like cinema and sports are so much easier and there is now no hassle with contact lenses, solutions, glasses, glasses cleaners etc. would recommend not only laser eye surgery but optical express to anyone!”

“The surgery management was fantastic. Very quick and well organised. I have been slightly disappointed in my vision of computer screens and glare conditions, but overall am very happy with my vision and the outcome of the surgery.”

“very pleased with the care and attention received from all at the Bluewater store, the surgery was slightly uncomfortable but not painful at all. That evening it felt like pins and needles or sand in my eyes but after a sleep i was still able to watch a bit of TV with dark glasses on. Next day was amazing could see clearly, didn't need the dark glasses, went straight to work after the eye examination. very good experience.”

“I am very pleased to have had it done, however, glad I only have to go through with it only once. I found the actual surgery to be a very scary experience. The surgeon was very calm and proffessional (Southampton branch). I have visited reading for my follow up appointment. I do prefer Southampton though. Im excited to wake up in the morning to find that my vision has improved over night, it's like christmas day EVERY DAY.”

“all the staff are great and very interested in how my vision currently is. Im still waiting for great improvements but do feel it is getting a little better, However there has been not a difference since my last check up.”

“I have been extremely satisfied with my experience of laser eye surgery with Optical Express. From the initial consultation to the actual surgery through to the after care appointments Optical Express have been very professional and offered a very high standard of care and treatment. Every staff member I have encountered has been very helpful and considerate. I am delighted with the results of the laser every surgery and my distance vision is now excellent. The outcome of the surgery has exceeded my expectations. I experienced some dryness to the eyes after the treatment but this was in line with the advice and the dropes provided helped me though this. The dryness stopped after about 4 weeks. I have already recommended Optical Express to friends and family.”

“My consulation was very thorough with the Southampton store and I booked in for eye surgery. On the day the time in store was about 1.5 hours and everything went smoothly with no pain. By the afternoon my vision was considerably better. By the next day I was able to drive and my sight was the same as wearing contact lenses. One week later night driving was no issue. I had some additional aftercare as one eye was slightly inflamed, and this checked every day and then every other day until the staff were happy.”

“I have been wearing glasses for distance only since 2009 but I started to notice my vision was getting worse and was causing me issues when playing sports and ordering from behind counter menus in cafes. I began to think about contact lenses. However I didn't want the expense or the hassle so I looked into laser eye surgery. The surgery is not pleasant but the results are worth it. It's a relief not to have worry about my vision in any circumstance now.”

“I wished I had had the surgery done years ago before my eyes deteriorated. It would have been nice to have been spec-free rather than simply replacing the ones for distance vision with ones for reading. I do think that not needing spectacles to see things in the distance is by far the better way of seeing though. Ah, the wonders of science....”

“I am so pleased with the results of the surgery and am looking forward to playing with my daughter in the swimming pool on holiday. I was not a contact wearer so not having to wear glasses has made a huge difference!”

“As the title dictates, why on earth did I not go ahead with the procedure many years ago. My son wanted to get it done and i thought I'd have it done at the same time. I wasn't expecting too much but I feel as if my confidence has improved without the "shackles" of wearing spectacles. The whole episode with optical express has by far exceeded my expectations and I wasn't expecting the level of care I am receiving and I'm sure will carry on to receive.”
