“To anyone that is considering Laser Eye Surgery, I have to say you will not regret your decision! I had Lasik Surgery done a week ago at the Queen Street branch in Cardiff, the team were extremely professional and knowledgeable and made me feel completely at ease over something I was quite nervous about, being my sight and all! After only 10/15 minutes of being in surgery it was all done! I couldn't believe the ease of it all. There was minimal discomfort during the surgery, mainly just a few seconds of pressure on your eyeballs, which is a little uncomfortable, but asides from that the surgery was painless. I must say, it is better that you have somebody with you to accompany you straight from the surgery, as your sight isn't the clearest just after, also, ensure you take sunglasses to wear straight after and for a few days after as the glare/light is rather bright. I went straight home took two painkillers and went straight to sleep. I woke up within the hour to my eyes watering quite a lot, this next hour to 2 hours was the most uncomfortable, my eyes were quite swollen, hard to open to apply the drops and they felt very gritty but as soon as I had my eye drops in and fell back to sleep I was fine. The next time I woke up 3/4hours later, the discomfort had eased considerably and after my next dose of eye drops I slept for the night in my gorgeous new night goggles...! The next day I could not believe it, for the first time since I can remember, I woke up and could see and focus on everything!! It was an amazing feeling not having to reach for my glasses before getting out of bed or ever again for that matter!! Over the next few days the itching feeling has started to leave and my eyes feel great, my vision is wonderful!! I only wish I had done this sooner!! Definitely something to be considered if you wear specs / lenses regularly!”

“Never looked back following my surgery, would recommend this treatment if your completly fed up with the constant changing of glasses for reading, TV or driving.”

“All staff have treated me with great care. Everything explained in enough detail and made me feel at ease throughout the whole time. The procedure was done in a very little timescale with minimal discomfort. The results are amazing, I was overwhelmed when I came out of surgery and my vision has been getting better and better. Thanks for my miracle!!”

“Very happy with the outcome and service provided. Very happy!!! procedure was not as expected and painless although after was very uncomfortable and could have probably done with more eye drops to ease pain. Other than that I have no complaints whatsoever and would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone else. Thankyou.”

“I know everyone uses the phrase life-changing when speaking about laser eye surgery, but it honestly is. I've never felt so confident in myself, and it's strangely the little everyday things that i've found most pleasing. I was nervous at first, but the surgeon had me at ease straight away, and it was a quick, painless procedure. I've also been rather pleasantly surprised by the level of after care that's been made available. Very reassuring indeed.”

“It's great not to have to wear glasses for distance, and being able to wear off-the-shelf reading glasses means I can experiment with crazy styles that I wouldn't choose if I had to pay more than a few pounds for them. I can also apply eye make-up which I just couldn't see well enough to do before! It has taken a while for my eyes to settle down but hopefully that won't take too much longer.”

“Before varifocals, my glasses caused me no issues or discomfort what-so-ever. They were an ordinary part of my life. Varifocals were not for me, even though I gave them a good go for a year. Only having one eye done does have it's restrictions BUT overall it's well worth it. Thankyou very much.”

“The suregery and aftercare were great, however, there was a bit of a confusion before the treatment, meaning I had to go for a further scan in London the day before treatment. I thought this was a bit short notice and made the lead up to suregery quite stressful.”

“I would recommend the treatments to anyone. The support after-treatment is very efficient. I have had two treatments so far and I am very happy with the way optical express have looked after me. I could have not asked for better service.”

“laser surgery highly recommended. The store staff are lovely. Only problems experienced are trying to book appointments through head office but sure that will improve when the store has a phone and you can book direct”
