“The surgery was explained well from the outset. The staff at optical express were very understanding, as I was quite apprehensive on the day of the surgery. They immediately put me at ease and explained the procedure. The surgery itself was painless and quick (less than twenty minutes). The follow up appointments were equally thorough. I would recommend optical express to anyone.”

“I am amazed that one simple procedure which is so quick and painless can be so effective and make such a difference to my life. It is still a novelty after a month and keep reminding myself I dont need to find my glasses first thing in the morning! Everyone here is really professional and obviously know what they are talking about. I would recommend laser eye surgery to anyone suitable. It has not been the instant perfect vision with regards to working on a computer and looking at small type but this is improved even now after a month and my general vision for walking around is 20/20 which I never thought possible. My only issue with this store which I have mentioned before is that on the appointments for consultation etc. they tend to leave you hanging without letting you know what you are waiting for or how long it is going to be. This can be quite off-putting and worrying that they have forgotton you.”

“I was very apprehensive about having the surgery and my husband was the person who made the enquiries for both of us. To be honest I tried not to think about it before the operation and proably only went through because I didn't ant to be wearing glasses if my husband wasn't. The staff in the Belfast shop have been fantastic and the staff in the hospital couldn't have been nicer - very helpful and informative. If I had one criticism it would be that in the period coming up to the operation we were not contacted and my husband had to do a lot of ringing to find out if we were having the surgery on the day we had initially agreed. Saying that a massive thank you I still cannot believe that I can see better now that I did when I was 30!!”

“I am pleased with the overall benefits although my left eye which was worse to start with still has some issues and I would be delighted if this could be improved to the excellent standard of my right eye. Overall the operation is welll worth doing and I would be pleased to recommend it.”

“after first having the laser treatment, the initial discomfort was long lasting (5hours or so) and it did not help that i could not sleep. However i knew that it would be worth it. Following this time, the results were seen straight away and vision only became better as the days went on. vision at the moment is more than satisfcatory, with only small halo problems around lights at night, but hopefully that will subside over the next few weeks.”

“I was very nervous having the treatment done but one of the nurses held my hand they whole way through, the surgeon was so friendly and reassuring. SInce then my weekly/monthly visits have been great, the optermologist is always friendly, she remembers me and my original concerns and always ask about how I'm feeling now, dry eye and my right eye which is still mildly blurry, but she has gone through every outcome and I feel really happy with the informartion she has given me and the care!”

“This is my 5th month after my intra-lase laser surgery of my both eyes, I am 38 and I started wearing my glass when I was 18 yrs old and my eyes went through 0.5 (-) to 6.0 (-) changes in eye power and I could hardly see without my glass. As I am serving member of HM Forces, it was very difficult for me to conduct my job with glasses and contact lenses. I thought about having Surgery on 2006/07 but I didn't have confidence to go for it although I had free consultation and knew my eyes were good for surgery. Now I have done it and took only few minutes (30 sec each eye) and it was pain free. I had gone through few blurry view for a week and second week was nice and clear. I had to use some drops until few week to moisten my eyes but later on it was normal and I was already enjoying my glass and lens free life. On my three monthly check, my eyes were already better than 20/20 and now I am happy with my eyes and both day and night vision have improved and still improving. I am waiting for my final (annual) appointment to hear my final result. Staffs n surgeon are very caring and professional and i would like to take this opportunity thank to them for my new eyes!”

“I can honestly say that this is amazing. I cant believe how fantastic it works and wiht no pain. Don't get me wrong there is a little discomfort whilst surgery is happening, but as soon as I walked out of the surgery room there was no pain or discomfort. Why the anaesthetic is still in your eyes they feel very tired so make sure you get a lift to and from the clinic. Would highly recommend the Liverpool One Clinic both for consultation, surgery and after care. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cant rate it enough!”

“I am very happy with the results of the surgery, to come out with 20/12 vision is absolutely amazing and I honestly could not be more thrilled!! Being able to see more clearly without the aid of glasses or contacts was not really in my comprehension, so getting up from the surgery and being able to see (with a bit of haze) was one of the most exciting moments of my life- I don't think people truely understand how important their vision is until it changes- luckily in my case it was for the (much, much) better! Thank you!!”
