Submitted online order 10 days prior to going away thinking this was enough time for my goods to arrive to take with me. Never heard or received anything before leaving. While away, received email advising that they didn't have stock of some items. They apparently have sent a replacement item for an item out of stock. I'm still away but believe items have been delivered. Order took far to long and didn't receive what I ordered.

In early December, I entrusted my reel to Otto's for repair, with the expectation of a prompt resolution within approximately two weeks. About a week later, Otto's reached out, quoting a repair cost of $170, which I accepted considering the reel's value. However, subsequent updates on the progress were scarce. Towards the end of December, following a lack of communication, I reached out to inquire about the status of the repair, only to be advised to await further updates. As the new year commenced, I took the initiative to follow up in mid-January, only to be informed that the holiday closure of Penn, the manufacturer, would extend the repair timeline by at least another week. Despite assurances of timely communication upon completion, I received no further updates. February elapsed without any advancement, prompting me to withhold further inquiries, foreseeing a recurring pattern. However, by mid-March, frustration had reached its peak. Upon reaching out to Otto's once again, I was informed that the employee responsible for the repair would remain unavailable for an additional two weeks. Given the wait of nearly four months, I made the decision to retrieve my reel and seek repair services from an alternative establishment. I'd recommend avoiding Otto's for your fishing gear needs. They also tend to be on the pricier side compared to other fishing stores. You might find better deals and service elsewhere.

Worst service ever, 3 weeks late and missed the school holidays trip with my sons birthday fishing reel and you want me to get excited that youre delivering it whilst we are away!!

I bought a reel 15 days ago you happily took my money, promised me 2 - 5 days delivery and 15 days later it still isn’t here and no idea when it will arrive! That’s despite me regularly contacting u about it. Put the crappy reviews up on your website as well as the one that say it arrived 15 minutes after I ordered it.

Purchased a reel and rod from these guys. Only received the reel (no rod). I was initially impressed with the online chat facility on their site BUT soon found out it's just an automated response system. Tried to contact them - no luck. I've requested to return the reel - not much I can do with it without the rod. Wouldn't buy from them again. Order #N175202

i bought a daiwa saltist reel had no book and spare washers i rang ottos they told me daiwa havent got any spare books and the spare washers dont come with daiwa reels anymore . i rang daiwa australia and the spare washers do still come with the reels and daiwa are posting me book and spare washers for free. ottos tackle world lied to me i will never buy anything again from them

Normally good service but they dropped the ball on this one big time. Ordered 6 Sept, recieved over 6 weeks later. I called them 4 times and each time they promised to call back with information about my order but never did.

Went to exchange my Tcurve Premium after spotting an obvious defect with one of the rod guides, exposing the base of the guide to the elements through a burst bubble in the guide wrapping, only to be told by one of the elderly shop attendant that this was not a manufacturing defect and that most custom rods encounter those issues on a regular basis. The rest of the staff were as surprised as I was by the stupidity of this statement which I was told to ignore before they proceeded to replace the rod with another model. Needless to say that I will think twice before purchasing another high end item from a shop which tolerates this type of behaviour from one of its representatives. The man’s behaviour was agressive and left with me a negative impression having purchased an expensive rod without the level of customer service expected from this establishment.

This has been the worst on line tackle purchasing experience I have ever had. I will never use Ottos again. Still waiting on my braid. Happy to go in to more detail, if you are interested. Gary Hunter
