About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Good service disappointed that I had a customer who didn’t want a product took it back to get a refund for the customer to find out outback equipment don’t do refunds will only give store credit

The equipment is okay, the communications are very poor. I ordered a TV and paid for it. waited two weeks and when I called the guy said he was busy and would get back to me......still waiting a week later? So messaged the person that sold it to me by email. He quoted that it was due last friday, still no notice it arrived nor it was shipped? And gee the spell check is a pain to work with on comments

Ordered an item on the 27th of August. Today is the 31st, according to the website, item hasn’t even been picked for postage. If I wanted the item in 2 weeks time, I would have ordered it in 2 weeks time. Asked a question online, no reply. Email has now been sent. Last item I buy from here.

I ordered my stuff 12 days ago and still haven’t received it. I don’t like spending over thousand dollars and not receive anything. So no you haven’t done good.

Great service, if the whole product had been sent. I only received the lock housing. No actual locking mechanism, or keys were received. 😕

Only a 2 star review cause of the dispatch time. With a 1-3 day dispatch time you'd think with express shipping it'd be near a 1 day dispatch and not take the full 3 business days for 1 item to be dispatched. Kinda defeats the purpose of paying for "express" but luckily I managed to get it in time before I needed it, only just though

My delivery was received easily with great notifications of process, however one of my items was damaged and therefore not able to be used. Regarding "Whom made the delivery" cannot remember if it was a courier or postal service.

I called several times but no answer which is a bit disappointing. That said, I chose not to forward an email as suggested due the option not being convenient at the time.

The courier delivered the bags to the wrong address fortunately the person call me and I had to go and pick them up. Luck it was an honest person.

Not happy. A very essential part of a large water tank is the 'breather' attachment on the top. It should be included. Then to learn that it's not even available to supply, is quite bad service. Like selling a jerry can without the lid, or a tent without the bag.

Again, sold items that were not in stock. Then told me the stock had arrived and was despatched. The tracking of the order showed that the item was not sent til 5 days later. Hard to recommend

I put an order through the eBay store on 18/05/2023. (22-10067-10906) On 25/05/2023, I received an email saying that my order was on its way, however when I looked at the tracking information, there was no indication that the parcel had been dispatched yet. I called your store on that day to see if you could check whether the item had actually left the warehouse yet as I was able to drop into the store that day to pick it up if it hadn't been dispatched yet. The customer service agent I spoke to advised me that the item had already left the warehouse, and that the item would arrive that afternoon or the next day (Friday 26/05/2023). I then received an email on Friday 26/05/2023 at 4:40pm saying that the parcel had just been picked up. It seems as the customer service agent I spoke to didn't actually check the order, they lied and told me that the order had already been dispatched even though it hadn't even been picked up yet. I would've appreciated it if the customer service agent had properly checked the order or advised me that the order is no longer able to be picked up from the store as it had been assigned a tracking number. I know that the customer service agent didn't check my order because they only used my phone number to check my order - but my order wasn't put through the website/over the phone. It was put through eBay, which isn't linked up to my phone number. Please ask that your customer service agents are more thorough when checking orders or be more transparent when answering customer queries. It is now Monday, I haven't received my order and the tracking information doesn't show any change since Friday, despite the agent advising me that the order should arrive Friday latest.

I have bought a few lights over the past few months and everytime there is no stock. I either need to ring up and change the order so I get parts in time or have to wait like im currently doing. The website should not sell you an item if its not in stock. It took over a week for outback equipment to send an email saying there is no stock and its not good enough. Display whether an item is in stock or not at the time of checkout!
