About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Equipment is always good value but every time I purchase something it takes weeks to be dispatched.”

“Product was good , ordered took 4 days before it was freighted by Aramex from brisbane to perth, took 4 weeks, slowest freight company, need to review who they send parcels with. Had other parcels in a week or 2.”

“Ordered a 12V ceiling fan before going on holiday. Allowed nearly 2 weeks to have it arrive, also paid extra for express post just to be sure. Nothing noted when ordering that the product was actually out of stock. Had to follow up myself, I called to see why my order hadn't been dispatched to be told there was no stock. Finally arrived 2 days AFTER we had already left on holiday. If I had known there was no stock, I would have taken different action to make sure we had it prior to leaving, as it was quite hot. As it was, ended up buying a small fan on the way to help with the heat.”

“The online purchasing experience was fantastic and the delivery was fast. However there was one item on back order and zero communication. I had to lodge a missing item claim to be told around 10 days later that it was a stock issue. I’ve paid for it but don’t know when it will show up. Haven’t heard anything since then with no timeframe or follow up. Very poor after purchase service.”

“I am extremely happy with the products I purchased, however the shipping took a ridiculously long time. I ordered many items from other companies in QLD after this order and received them well in time for Xmas. This package didn't arrive until well after new year and it was ordered in November. Think you need to look at your shipping company. This is the reason you received 3 stars instead of 5.”

“Item said in stock. Purchased and went to go collect, they had no stock. Person I was speaking to kind of just disappeared and left me standing there wondering what’s happening. Received a refund after they figured out how to do it since there was a coupon applied with the order. I would suggest to always keep up to date with stock so people don’t waste their time buying items that aren’t there.”
