“After having made multiple purchases before without any complications, this time I never received the order that was sent to my house through UPS.
When calling palmetto they told me that ups rejected the claim because I was ups choice and therefore no one would be responsible for the loss of the package.
The package was sent without a signature required, that is, it does not matter if I was a Ups Choice member, the package would be left at the door of my house anyway!
customer service, apart from waiting 45 minutes to be attended, they have no empathy with customers, they are rude and practically leave you talking alone and block the call. This is the worst experience I have ever had!

“Second request to cancel. No one seems care, no one answers the phone (on hold for 20 minutes twice today) no one answers the "chat" box, that states to use for "fastest response" no less. Tried that several times on multiple occasions. My case number is 01197374 submitted on 9/6 (15 days after placing order with no updates or shipping, web site states up to 10 days to ship). It has been 9 days since then with no response (message says usually 1 day but may be up to 3 days to respond) When I try to call I am placed on forever hold and again, why push the chat option if it is ignored. They have already charged my credit card for something they never shipped and can't seem to provide an update for. I chose a pre-approved FFL from their list, I don't understand how this is acceptable or how their message can even say they care about their customers.”
“I have made several purchases with Palmetto over the years and one thing I can contest to is the fact that they have some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I have tried several times to modify an existing order by adding or removing an item and they refuse to do it! They are either going to cancel out your entire order or you’re going to get the order that you were originally purchased and that’s the end of the story they will not help you out whatsoever it’s either one or the other! I’ve never heard of such a policy before! They also Have lacked on sending me tracking information and when I called on it they said they refused to give me any tracking information on serialized items and I said why? And they said because people are trying to stop UPS and get their firearms before they could be sent to the FFL for transfer lol I’ve never heard of such a thing and I doubt people are doing that they just did not want to give me my own tracking information, then two days later guess what happens? I get my tracking information on the items sent to my email anyway so what they told me was a lie they just didn’t want to take the time to look it up . I’ve also ordered ammunition from them and was short several boxes at a time! Now how do you order 10 boxes of ammo and get five boxes sent to the house? Now either somebody is taking the ammo and putting it in their pocket at the warehouse or Palmetto is skimping out on their orders and then you have to prove that you really didn’t get the ammo! How do you do that?”

“Bought a PA10 (AR10), got it home and it was not functioning properly. Bolt would not go back on empty mag and the mag would not drop. Researched a little to find out they put an AR15 bolt hold in an AR10. So they put the wrong part in a gun then sold it. I want my money back but they will not give refunds on firearms. What else did they do wrong with this thing? It could blow up in my face for all i know. Looks like ill have to take them to court.”

“I went to the Summerville location to purchase a weapon and my husband was with me. After showing my husband the gun, and getting his opinion, I informed them that I wanted the weapon. I have previously tried to purchase the weapon online but it was out of stock and they finally had one in stock. My husband then walked to where the scopes were to see if it would be cheaper to buy the one with a scope or purchase a scope separately. My license was given and I filled out the form on the computer. After 5 mins a lady calls my name to rudely tell me that I am not able to purchase the weapon because they felt like I am buying it for someone else, that "someone else" that they assumed that it was for was my husband, who has purchased his own weapons from this location so there is no need for me to purchase a weapon for him. I was using my bank card, my license and I filled out the form and acknowledged that if I purchase a weapon for someone else, what the consequences will be. I was purchasing a 10mm. I have purchased a gun there before for myself and my husband was with me every time. When he has purchased his weapons, I was there with him. I was in the military for 10 years and I have shot plenty of weapons. I felt so disrespected by the staff there and the General Manager Eric because they made assumptions about my husband and I and not even having a conversation with us beforehand or even looking up his name to show that he has purchased weapons from there before so he has no reason for me to buy a weapon for him when he can do it for himself. I will never purchase another weapon from them again, and I hope they never treat a veteran or anyone the way they treated me and my husband.”

After significant effort, many weeks and emails, etc., they refunded me most of the bucks for an old gun advertised as 'completely functional', but with a barrel so bent as to be outright dangerous to shoot. Having dealt with 5 different employees, I don't know if they are overwhelmed (as one employee claimed), dumb or sketchy. BUT, they get it wrong every time! After significant complaint they agreed I could return the useless gun, but they still owe me bucks after specifically offering to refund my FFL fees too. I tried to email them with no response and there’s no phone call service with PSA. I went ahead and reluctantly placed the $159.99 order. Then 3 days later they advertised the very same deal at $149.99. I’m disgusted with the price switch and the inability to talk with the, email them, or chat.”
“I ordered a Vortex Venom, that was defective. I called for advice on how to return it, and if I would be reimbursed for the return shipping; I was told I would be reimbursed. Now, PSA is unwilling to return my shipping charges for their defective product. My advice- stay away from PSA, and file a complaint with BBB, just as I have.”
“I ordered a case x200 shotgun shells from Palmetto State Armory on 12/3/2021. Within about a week I received a package with only x20 rounds. I immediately wrote an email to support which received no response. I attempted to call several times, sitting on hold for 45 minutes+ each time. When I finally did get through to someone I was told I needed to send a picture of the ammo I received and they would get back to me the next day, which I did, but I never received any further response from Palmetto. I called again on 12/17/21 and waited for another 40 minutes+ only to be told they could not send me the remainder of my ammunition order and that they would issue a refund for the 180 shells I did not receive. I held my temper with the peon on the phone as she was only doing her job, but I was understandably livid. Both agents I spoke to were basically useless drones doing the companies dirty work and they were not helpful at all. This has by far been my worst experience with any customer service ever! I expected better from an American company. I was originally referred to Palmetto by a friend of mine because I was hoping to buy a rifle in the next couple months, but after this, I will never purchase anything buy from Palmetto State Armory again. Regardless of their product, Palmetto is a garbage company with terrible customer service and I will be filing a charge-back with my credit card company for the 20 shells I received if I don't get a full refund.”
“Absolutely worst company in history in terms of customer service. Impossible to get in contact with. Shipping is all out of whack in time frame. Ordered ar pistol.. couldn't get straight answer .. told would be 15 days to receive. I emailed saying if would take 15 to just cancel.. get an email saying ok return to sender done.. come to find out shipment was due very next day from that. Instead of confirming and checking to help customer out.. they just canceled it.. when finally got through was told sorry .. you said cancel.. will never purchase anything.. nothing.. no matter how good a deal. Shoot as bad as the chat went I wouldn't even accept a free gift from them .. won't support them at all.. stay away... reason why they only have such low ratings...
