Complaints about after sales service. Bought a car with the so called two year used car warranty from Pee-Vee. Unfortunately discovered a problem in the first few months. Contacted the warranty claims contact, they bounced me off to the car repair garage who bounced me over to Peter Vardy who then bounced me back to the garage. Peter Vardy essentially washed their hands off my problem saying that the warranty is provided by a third party not them. They also qouted me 156.0 GBP per hour for 'fault finding' which any respectable garage would do for free. Peter Vardy also told me that my repairs do not fall under warranty but they were happy to charge me for 4-5 hours of fault finding @ 156 GBP per hour any way.

Good Morning, I'm sorry to hear of the issues you have had with our dealerships. We will be in touch soon regarding this. TeamPv

We were told the car would be ready in a couple of weeks as it was down south . We were phoned about a week later and told it was abroad and it would be another month. We told them to cancel the order as we were disappointed with the service. Your manager Gavin phoned and said we had been misinformed and the car would be ready when we were originally told and offered us a free night in a hotel as a gesture of goodwill. We agreed to go ahead. We were also told we would get a refund on the service plan for our old car. We have neither received the hotel offer or our refund despite phoning several times. Gavin said he would sort it personally but when we phoned over two weeks ago he had passed it on to the original salesman and insisted the email for the hotel had been sent but that seems strange as we receive all your other emails. To date we have still not received our refund or the elusive hotel offer. Needless to say we will not be rushing back to this dealership and hope that this email will ensure this fiasco will be sorted out.

I reported a fault and they called to say car was ready. When I enquirer about the fault, it hadn't been looked at. When I collected the car, they were unable to find fault, I.e. Didn't bother looking and I was given an excuse which made no sense. I checked my in car camera and found it had been disconnected from when the car went in to when I collected it. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?

Booked my car in for a service and a loan car on Wednesday, but when I got there I was told it was booked in for Tuesday? I said that when I booked it in they said on Tuesday there wasn't a loan car available so it was booked for Wednesday as a loan car was available that day. They couldn't give me a loan car so I couldn't get the car serviced. POOR service and a waste of my time taking a day off work. Now I have to take another day off work to get it serviced at another Vauxhall dealer. Peter Vardy wanted £180 for service plus £15 for a loan car. Another Vauxhall dealer has quoted me £130 plus no charge for the loan car? I know where I will be taking our two Vauxhall,s from now on.

Another horrible experience from PV aberdeen vauxhall! Car has just went in for 2nd recall and when i arrived i was told by thw worst parts advisor with a disgusting attitude that there was no booking on the system! I made the booking atleast 3 weeks ago by phone. After she told me they could possibly fit me in i asked what was being replaced in the recall she proceded to tell me and i asked what about the blower motor to which she replied "well if you let me finish what im saying ill tell you". Perhaps a cuppa coffee and a nap will help your customer service for future! This just adds to the list of problems ive had with peter vardy and the lack of communication and poor aftersales service.

I paid for a car to be brought from another garage to be test driven... it never arrived. No one called me. It took 3 days of trying, about 15 calls - most never answered - to find out that it had not arrived and in fact was never going to arrive, I wasn't told why. I then asked for my deposit to be repaid, no problem i was told... it has been a problem. Almost 4 weeks have passed since I paid the deposit, over 20 calls, most not answered, and still no returned deposit. I have tried to call today, 10 attempts, none answered. The worst customer service I have come across in my life. Avoid! https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.petervardy.com

I ordered a brand new Corsa at the beginning of July and expected delivery by end of July, later I was informed told that I could not get it till end of August. I said to hold it for one week as the new registration were coming out and I was not prepared to take ownership a few days before. After several telephone calls to the branch in Dalgety Bay I am now informed today that my car will not be delivered till end of September. I am absolutely gutted as I was expecting this car in two days time. ( Only my car has been affected by the delay!) I have now cancelled my order as it is ridiculous the time scale I have had to wait and the rubbish excuses I have had. I now wish I had bought a car nearly two months ago from another dealer with only 10 miles on the clock instead of a brand new one. Now I have to start my search all over again.

Visited Peter Vardy Jaguar Aberdeen with a view to buying a new car but were made to feel very unwelcome before we had even stepped inside. The sales manager (?) was standing guard outside and blocked our path to the door before we even got to it. After he demanded to know what we wanted and I explained we were looking for an XF sportbrake, he did deign to let us in and frostily direct us to a salesman (who was fine). However since they have just stopped making the sportbrake and they had zero second hand stock of any sort it was all rather wasted. It is pretty good going to alienate one's customers before they have even got inside the showroom! The whole place seemed exceptionally snobby, cold and hostile. Maybe because we weren't wearing business suits?

Absolutely terrible experience and still it has not been rectified at my now considerable expense. Since I paid for the car I've been ignored. Problems haven't been sorted even though Shaun mcgarva said they were. Car description - lies. Promises to sort it - lies. How dare I think a 3 year old Astra described on the video as excellent condition shouldn't be covered in chips and scratches or have an oil and water leak. About to take legal advice on the matter.

After reassurances and promise from telephone centre that £80 month pcp viva as advertised in national paper and radio was gimmick free my wife booked test drive at Motherwell. Test drive following morning. Also informed also numerous cars available and wife could pick colour over phone. After test drive, told no cars at this price at Motherwell, actually none at all in Peter Vardy. Cheapest deal £115 from a branch in Fife. What a lie and bunch of con artists!

On Sunday I turned up (by VIP invitation day) to buy a new car. Due to the fact that they were very busy and I had another commitment to attend I was informed that I would receive all the financial information by phone that evening - no call! So the next day I drove 30 miles (again) to complain that I didn't receive a call back and wanted to buy a new car which had previously been discussed. I was then told that I would receive a call that same day with the information I needed - no call. It's now day 3 after my first visit and still no call. I seriously believe this company don't want to sell cars and obviously have the worst customer service I've come across of any car dealership..........! Just amazing, Obvously I won't be buying my new car there anymore.

My father bought an x3 from these Del Boy hustlers earlier this year . Car was priced at 19.5k my father was promised that they would buy the car back if he ever wanted to trade in or get the cash back in the future . My father returned 2 months later they said were overstocked and he would be offered a really poor cash price ... Ironically enough no value was offered ! They said he would need to trade in pay the extra .. Absolute con men .. My father elderly now .. I was extremely disappointed at lack of aftercare .. Once they get the money they are carefree .. Avoid this dealership like the plague . The issue in question happened in Seafield Edinburgh branch ..

Thought I would place my review again seeing as it was previously removed, and to date I am still waiting on the email from the service manager which I was promised. I bought a car from Peter Vardy Kirkcaldy at the end of September. Since then I have had nothing but problems with the car and Peter Vardy after sales and service team have been at best incompetent. The Peter Vardy promise for buying a used car is clear for everyone to see and none of these were met. When I spoke to the garage I was told it was because i bought the car at the end of the month and the car had to be off the forecourt to be counted in the monthly sales. So basically we don't care if your car is road worthy or not as long as we can count it in our sales figures. My car has been in the garage 5 times since buying it, with faults and so they could keep their "promise". A decent garage with competent staff would have fixed all of the faults the first time it went in but this was obviously to much for Peter Vardy. The last time my car was in the service manager told me I would be "looked after" and they would give me a goodwill offer and I could expect to receive an email the same afternoon. Surprisingly this never happened, so after waiting 2 weeks then writing to their complaints department and being told the service manager would be in touch with me as soon as possible I waited another 3 weeks and my finance company getting in touch with the garage, I was told by my finance company that I was being offered a free service and MOT. I called the garage the same day to confirm this and it still hasn't been confirmed because the service manager wasn't in, (always seems to happen when you call someone at this garage). So my advice would be AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
