“Excellent sales team, definitely go out their way to help you. This is the 3rd car we have bought from Peter Vardy and will definitely use again. Declan and Gary Scroggie put together a great deal for us in the Motherwell showroom and again we couldn't walk away. Definitely recommend visiting these guys for your new car. If this was a rating, 10 out of 10 for the showroom and the sales team.”
“The purchase of the vehicle went very smoothly thanks to the the very efficient sales person we dealt with. However I am concerned that I have received a service plan which I didn't agree to. It was sold to me seemingly by a Mr Aaron Greger who I have never met. The first payment is to come out of my account on the first of April which I don't understand as I never left any account details other than for the purchase of the vehicle. An explanation would me much appreciated. Regards. Leslie Jones.”
“Overall good service and even treated to a doughnut whilst waiting to take the car home. Friendly staff and, not pushy with the sale and answered any questions. I will be sure to return to Peter Vardy Seafield.”
“Excellent service very happy with the car . The only minor thing is that I am still waiting for a set of rubber car mats that were purchased at the same time”
“No issues with the salesman, polite and professional. On day of collecting car had to wait for over an hour as nobody seemed to be aware I had an appointment. When I was seen I was told the car was still to be cleaned an was not ready. No other issues.”
“Scott Brown at the Kirkcaldy branch was very attentive to our needs right from our unintentially gatecrashing a VIP event. I am delighted with my new vehicle, and the price I paid for it, and would be happy to recommend any of my friends who might be investing in a new or indeed used car. I would consider Scott to be a good salesman - pushy, but not overly so, and a credit to Peter Vardy. The Service Plan sold to me at the last minute is a super product for a small monthly cost, and something I really hope to remember to use in each of the next 5 years. Additionally, very happy with the Platinum Protection product.”
“Scot Brown was the salesman he was good at his job and we were happy with him .After reading some of the internet feedback about bad after sales experiences I was happy that Scot phoned us to make appointment to bring car in to rectify the minor faults we found on the car so once these are sorted we will be most happy to recommend to our friends and family .Give scot a pat on the back”
“Met Rachel, Ian and Kevin in course of transaction. All were vey helpful and friendly and keen to come to an agreement on our car purchase and trade in, without being at all pushy. A very pleasant experience all round.”
“i am very pleased with the service i got when purchasing the car as the price was in my budget and the payments affordable for me with the help of the salesman. i was happy with updates as to when my car would be ready and always kept informed. a thank you to elliot bailey for questions and queries i had and made me feel very comfortable through this process. and knowing if i have any problems, questions or queries in the future to contact him has given me piece of mind. overall very pleased”
“McGregor was very efficient in helping us before we decided to buy the vehicle. He was very accommodating to when we could actually arrange to pick up the car. He also went out of his way to take it from Edinburgh to Glasgow for our convenience. He has also been in touch since the sale to make sure all is ok with the car. 10/10 for customer service :)”
“Buying my new BMW with Peter Vardy was a great experience. David, who helped me through the process was polite, well informed and dedicated to making sure that I got the best deal possible. Will definitely be heading back here for my next upgrade.”
“The sales man, McGregor, was very good with assisting me with all my needs, however as I was required to transfer my plate from my old car to my new one admin personnel said that I had to put this on retention costing £105. Be I g experienced in this process I knew that it could be transferred for £80 and still drive the car away there and then. I thenHassan to phone the dvla to clarify this as admin were adiment that the plate had to go on retention. This costing me money and time that a reputable garage should know this proceedure, I now await my refund of £25 for this, I do hope that all future customers that don't know the proceedure now don't get charged for retention unnecessary. I I'm still not 100% satisfied as the car had the grill/bumper that looked like it wasn't clipped in properly, this I was told was going to be repaired. McGregor was under the impression this was done and I was offshore when my car was delivered to my wife, when I returned this was in a similar condition to when I viewed the car, i have also noticed that the indicators don't flash when I lock the car with the fob (usually the bonnet switch fault), McGregor has apologized for this and is going to get this looked at for me asap,
This all been said sales and after sales has been excellent, just disappointed in admin regarding the cherished transfer due to over charging and additional time it takes to do a retention unnecessary.”
“ABERDEEN VAUXHALL BRANCH.......LANG STRACHT ROAD!!!!!!!
i dont know where to start!
first of all the car i bought online/over the telephone was not the car i was presented with on pick up day 23rd feb, turns out the car in the picture was a mistake and was a top of the range brand new model (i was buying an 11 plate). after alot of apologising we came to an agreement, i was happy.......just for a while!
i took the car home to find the boot liner not attached to the boot, the passenger side indicator hanging off above wheel arch, i called the salesman (scott) who said i would have to get the services department, whilst on the phone i asked for the MOT certificate as i hadnt received it, he said he would email me a copy.give him his due he did send it through but when i read it i was in disbelief, turns out 3 out 4 tyres were just legal in more as per advisory.....now im no trader but even i know if your paying the guts of 10 grand for a motor you dont expect to be going out and buying 3 tyres straight after!!
i phoned scott back who's reply to me was.......they are legal, i basically said this was not the last of it! this was tues 24th feb. next morning wed 25th feb (coz it was at night i got email) i went to my nearest tyre garage for a second opinion, they were astounded that a car was sold like that and advised me there and then to change the 3 tyres at nearly £200 a pop each. i phoned scott again but this time i was ready for the rubbish he was going to say, to start with he was having none of it and then once i threatened trading standards he said he would have to speak to his manager and call me back, he did and i was asked to take the car back to Aberdeen (54 miles) i did this and when i arrived i was told the car was getting taking into the garage for the tyres to be checked. eventually a mechanic kinda guy come to me and said the manager has agreed to put on 2 new tyres......i said no its 3 tyres....this guy argued with me in front of other customers and i WAS NOT backing down i picked up my phone and said forget it im away to phone trading standards as this isnt on, he said he would go get the manager, he come back and said he couldnt find a manager but he would order 3 tyres anyways and to come back tommorrow, now i live 58 miles from aberdeen so i certainly was not going home to come back again, now this guy was not happy his exact words "well you'll have a long wait" im not caring i said, i also said while your waiting on the tyres you can fix the other jobs thats wrong with the car, this was at 10am, i left at 3.15pm after getting spoken to like crap!!
the following day i go out to my car and the tyre is flat (new one), so i pump it up enough to get me to my local garage and it turns out they didnt seal the valve and the mechanic tells me that whoever done my tyres the previous day had been very rough and damaged the valve, good going peter vardy staff!!!!
i will never ever buy another car from this bunch of cowboys again and if you are reading this and have any sense then please stay away from them.
peter vardy staff (not all) but most have the worst customer services skills going, totally up your back end until you part with your hard earned cash then they really couldnt care a less. i honestly felt like they thought i was an easy target as i am a young lass but i do tend to stand my ground and not back down! if there are any staff from peter vardy reading this please note I WILL be putting in an official complaint about the Aberdeen branch and i will also be advising anyone who wants to listen to me not to buy from peter vardy!!!!!”
“was really pleased with the service given to me when I purchased my new car recently. I was not pushed into quick decisions (even though it was a late call in the evening) and felt the desire to please was very genuine! I'm really pleased I chose Peter Vardy to buy my new car from.”
“Keith Armstrong, the sales manager who looked after my enquiry in respect of purchasing a new vehicle, paid attention to detail, was proactive and really dealt with every aspect of the process professionally. The hand-over process (by Stuart ...) was smooth, and any hick-ups were dealt with promptly on the spot.”
“Quality of service from picking car to collecting it is great and everything is explained in a way it is easy to understand and staff are very friendly and helpfull”
