“On the whole I thought the service was good. The salesman did his best to cater for my needs/budget etc. It would however been helpful for the salesman to point out any flaws in the bodywork of a car you hope to purchase, as this will help the customer make informed choices about the vehicle being considered. When your caught up in the sale you don't always think about these things.”

“Purchased my first car, brand new from Peter Vardy and I have not one complaint to make. From the beginning Kenny explained everything very clearly and made the experience extremely easy. He was in regular contact throughout to ensure I was kept up-to-date of when my car was likely to arrive and all paperwork was organised for my collection date. It was someone different who I collected the car from on the day but again he was extremely efficient it explaining all the functions of the car to me.

“Perter Vardy Edinburgh Seafield Road is a very sales orientated dealership salon. From the moment of the fist chat with the salesman you feel that you are not getting the best deal. The only reason that I`ve decided to go ahead with my purchase was because I really liked the car. After signing all the paperwork I`ve been asked to come back on Saturday to collect my car only to be advised that the system does not work and they are unable to tax my car. When asked why It was not done before as had insurance sorted on Wednesday Craig advised that woman that usually does this was on holiday. really disappointed there especially that I was waiting for over an hour wasting my weekend. Would I recommend the place - already advised work colleagues to try somewhere else as maybe they will get better deal somewhere else then try and see at Peter Vardy.”
“was initially missold the offer given by the girl who came to my work, really wasnt happy. declan and the the girl who helped me on the day i picked up my car were great sorry cant remember her name but she took the time to how me around the car and knew i was nervous. love my car however there was a stain on the interior on picking up. right next to the front wndow which i need to get cleaned and im going to have to book it to get the brake lights looked at. overall the staff were lovely tho. now to find out what the after care is like.....”

“i picked up my new car a Vauxhall Antara and the door trim was damaged also the fog light i had pointed out as needing replaced when i viewed the car hadn't been changed. I was told i would get a phone call the following Wednesday to arrange getting the trim replaced and to see if the fog light would dry out which i knew it wouldn't i waited until the following Friday still no call . i phoned in as i had then discovered the heater wasn't working i had to take the car back on the Monday to get it fixed i discovered the service book was blank. i don't think the car was PDI'd before i received it the book has now been stamped as being PDI'd in Aberdeen when the car came from Kirkaldy so I'm a little unsure about this. i feel i had to call for an update and communication could have been better on your part to keep me updated. i got the car delivered back to me on the Tuesday which was fine as i was away on business for the week i then discovered a chip on the osr door that had been touched up which i hadn't seen before it went in to you and I had a good look over the car when i viewed it and picked it up initially so I'm confident this chip wasn't there . The car has now developed a noise so will have to go back in again. i have now received the log book and i knew it was pre registered when i bought it but assumed Peter Vardy would be down as the first owner but it has had 2 previous owners one a woman from Preston i am down as the 3rd owner on a car that had 145 miles on it when i bought it so i am a bit annoyed at that. i chose Peter Vardy to buy a car as i don't like dealing or trust Arnold Clark but i haven't been overly impressed with Peter Vardy either.”
“I am overall happy with my new car, however when I visited the showroom at the time of purchase I wasn't planning on purchasing a vehicle and was simply calling in for an informal chat , and made this point clear though-out the process.
The salesperson that I was talking to was close to offering a deal I was happy to accept, when it was discussed that my then current car had lifetime free servicing, as a good will gesture he offered me 3 free years of a 5 years service package, which he went away to get confirmation of, and when confirmed that on the sales deal,which made the purchase of a new car agreeable to me. However after the sale the offer has been omitted with NO explanation to me. The outcome of this situation is of more importance to the Dealership than to me, it means as I have no service plan I will most likely have my car service by an independent franchise, which in turn will ultimately mean I will drift away from the dealership & in-turn look to another manufacturer when it comes to car replacement , a pity as I have just purchased two new cars in succession from Vauxhall & owned four in total over a almost a 30 year period, I thought my custom would have meant more. I will say no more in the matter and leave you to act as your conscience calls you...... Yours sincerely Billy.”
