“I was happy with the service, everything was done quickly. My only complaint was having to pay £100 deposit because I didn't have the MOT certificate and V5 document with me even though no one said I had to take it in, I drive 50 miles the following day with the documents to b told te card machine was broken and I would need to call on Monday
To get the money back. On phoning back I was then told the £100 would take up to three days to clear as they only had my card details and not my card! It was nearly a week later we recieved the deposit back even though they had the documents the following day.”

We had spent quite a bit of time, prior to visiting any actual showrooms, online viewing different dealers and cars. We found Vardy's site easy to navigate and information quite helpful.
When we drew up a list of cars we wished to look over we visited Vardy's Perth site.
We were met by Andy who we found genuine and considerate and importantly not pushy. He listened and we found his approach very satisfactory indeed.
A test drive and negotiation followed and Andy spoke clearly and directly again making even this part go well.

“My overall experience from my initial meeting with Mr Johnston to the actual handover was very good. Mr Johnston was very thorough when he was explaining the offer that was available as well as the additional options, GAP Insurance & Platinum Protection. Mr Johnston never, during the initial meeting, put any pressure on me to make a decision there and then. At our second meeting after he had gone all the points again as my wife was also at this meeting he gave us time to discuss the offer available. I also had the opportunity to test drive the Astra on both occasions.
The handover experience was also very good. The main points regarding the controls were explained in detail. The only unexpected moment was when I was asked to stand by the car so that my photo could be taken. This must be a new thing as it didn’t happen when I bought my previous car in 2009.”
“This is my fourth car since 2008 purchased from Peter Vardy in Perth. The overall ownership experience has not been a complete bed of roses. The buying experience has in general been good. PV operate a different model to most dealers with a sales team approach. I prefer this to the usual dealer sales setup. They avoid the worst extremes of sales torture which involve 'I will just speak to the sales manager'
They did go through a spell when the reception front office was not up to scratch. I even had to resort to a written complaint. I cannot have been the only one as changes did follow. I am not sure the workshop has got its QA right over the last 18 months either. Among a number of issues how did they service the car and fail to tighten up the oil filter? And my latest car came with a slow puncture, and I do not have the confidence to know if that was there on delivery or not. Still 300 miles on the latest car and I can confirm it tows my caravan fine and is otherwise running well.”
